ActionScript 2.0 :: Display Different Text In 1 Movie

I suppose this would be done in actionscripting. I have created a movie clip called 'text', which obviously displays all my text to be shown. Now what I want to do is when I click a link to a different page in my site, all I want to happen is for it to change the information on the 'text' movie. Do I need to make 5 different 'text' movies and just have each link load a the different movie or what?

Basically I am trying to do a Flash (AS 2.0) application that connects a FMS server. That isn't the problem, though. The problem is that when I click a button (myBtnEn) it changes a Bool variable to true, and if I click another button (myBtnDis) it changes the same Bool variable to false. The problem is:I want to display that variable's state in a Dynamic Text Box that is inside 1 Movie Clip and it doesn't change/display a thing else than when is loaded.[code]as you can imagine the code for myBtnDis is the same but "false" in the place of "true".myBoolStatus : name of the VARIABLE in the Dynamic Text Box.I have tried to name the Dynamic Text Box (for example "myBoolStatusP") and then add the ".text = " code but still the same.
I'm having some problems with the XML/FLASH Photo Gallery Tutorial ([URL]). When I load the swf file into another movie the dynamic text will not display. Any thoughts to why this is happening.

I've been searching high and low for a tutorial for your Flash movie that will show you how to make the movie ask for the users name at the begining and then it'll disply the name later on in the movie.
I have a text field component that I am dynamically populating with text. The words appear one letter at a time in a teleprinter style fashion. I also have rendered certain words with HTML to make style changes within the text.Now all this works fine, except because the HTML text is larger than the body of the other text, I am losing theteleprintereffect at the bottom of the text field. In other words, after a set amount has been printed, users are not seeing the letters printed out one at a time, but instead just get a printed line of text appear from beneath the visible section of the text window.

I have a dynamic textfield being populated with an xml files' content. I then have a css stylesheet loaded into format the text. This all works great, but what doesn't work is the ability to bold some of the words in that text. I have both the regular and bold versions of the font embedded into the swf, I can test out just a bold block of text and it works fine. The css is also working as it will change the size of the text that I tell it to. Everything is working, but for some reason I am not able to get the bolder version of the font to display in the same text box as the regular one. I have also tried to change fonts but had the same outcome.
We are in the process of developing a CRM application and for that we need to upload *.doc and *.docx files and display that contents.

I know this is similar to an already asked question, but I would love to get some more detailed help on how the outcome was achieved. I have a website with SWF animations of automotive systems. Each animation has labels naming the parts, action buttons to show failures, and links to other animations. The text for each label is dynamic, with the label being pulled from an XML file. We allow the user the option of changing the language, and currently have successfully used English/French/Spanish (all left to right) and Hebrew (right to left).
We are trying to add Traditional Chinese for a user in Taiwan, and are having difficulty getting the characters to display. We can make it work if we embed the font file into the SWF, but the file size increases to a point that it is not practical to do. I want to use the "Device Font" option, so that we can enter the Chinese text into our XML file, and then the SWF will use the font file from the end users computer to display the characters, but if I change the text property to "Device Font" it makes all the label text in the boxes disappear, no matter what language I select. If I leave the box set to "Anti-alias", the other languages display correctly.

hey i need to figure out how to make a text field that will display text with else/if functions, basically on my program with a certain output i want a certain phrase to appear depending on which output. how would i go about doing this?

I have a INPUT TEXT inside a mc called "txt mc" and DYNAMIC TEXT in the main time line.I'm trying to display what's typed in the INPUT TEXT (my_Input_Txt) in the DYNAMIC TEXT boxes (my_Dyn_Txt1, my_Dyn_Txt2, my_Dyn_Txt3).Here's the code. But it won't simply work perhaps because the INPUT TEXT is inside a MC. I need to have the INPUT TEXT INSIDE THAT MC while having the DYNAMIC TEXT boxes out in the main time line.
I'm playing around with a messaging type of application. Does anyone know how, or of any tutorials on to "appending" html text to text areas in flex and flex mobile projects? And specifically how I could take that and basically "append" a sprite inline to the text when i need to? I have a result screen that shows bonus points and such. I want each text field to increment one after another and also have it increment by a certain amount each frame. Result Screen pops up. First is the player score check the player score, is it more than the score we want to display if the player score is greater than the player display score by 100 increase the player display score by 100 if the player score is greater than the player display score by 10 increase the player display score by 10 else increase the player display score by 1 when finished move to the next score...and so on. I have thought of using timers to move from one score to the next, but not being in an Event.ENTER_FRAME it only does one if then moves to the next one.
Also the if statement for incrementing the score looks ridiculous and I'm thinking there has to be a better way to do it. I was thinking of making it a separate function but then I wouldn't know what to return, or how to return it so it looks like its increasing and not just showing the total number instantly. I'll try to expand on it a little more.
I'd like to be able to click on each of the buttons and have the background color change and also have its color name loaded in the dynamic text field. E.g. Clicking the white square would change the background color to white and should also display the text ''white'' in the dynamic text box. I've sorted out the colour changing part with the following code:
I want so code to see if it plays 60 fps (that is my settings) in a movie that must have much power, also, I want to write out for example: it plays 45 fps/60 fps. Is there any way to do this?
