View 4 RepliesI have one line that is going down 500 pixels with the instance called 'vertical'. I also have a line set next to it with aplha = 0. When the vertical line going down reaches 300 pixels, I want the line which is set to 0 to set the alpha = 100. The code I am trying does not work.. Here is what I am putting in
onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
if (vertical._height = 300) {
this._alpha = 100}
}
Seems simple enough, but the line becomes 100% alpha from the very beginning of the movie. Do I have to do anything with _root or what?
Actionscript 2.0I have a play and stop button in a movie clip. The actual button works great but does not pause the movie and then resume playback where it left off. Instead the movie goes back to the very beginning and stop/starts there. I need the button to resume playback where the movie was stoppedlike a pause and resume button. The videos load exernally through an FLVPlayback component (myVideo).The code is on the main time line in Actions layer.Here's the code for the button:

I have a motion tween that is 180 frames in length. When the tween ends on the last frame and returns to the first frame to replay there is a slight jump in the tween. Is there anyway to stop the tween from jumping from last frame to the first?

View 1 RepliesI am working on a tabular file that when you click on one of the tabs (there is 7) you view the content of that layer.
The code I am using works fine:

Tab1._visible = false;

but when you view the "land" layer, go back to another tab and go back to the "land" layer it doesn't reload and start at frame 1 but the last frame you were at.
I desperately need it to "reload" when you release on the action above and to GoToAndPlay frame 1 but whatever code I try it won't do it.
Is there an SWF player with a slider control, play and Stop, total play time; so you can jump to different sections in an SWF movie without having to watch it from beginning to end?

At the end of the movie it loops back to the beginning and plays again. if the viewer hits the sound off button it will turn the sound off untill the movie loops and then the audio automatically starts again. The viewer would then have to hit play again and then stop to stop it. Is it possible to fix this? I think that I ned to put a piece of code at the beginning of the movie to check if the sound is off or not and then to continue to keep it off if needed?Here is the code for the sound player I am using...

Is it possible that the end-users will place the movie-clips on any targets they want? If so, what could be the easiest method to use?My project is a little complicated but my goal is to give the user the freedom to place the movie-clips to any targets which will make them snap and also give them a conditional statement. My project contains one exact model of an answer but there are a lot of probabilities because the end-user are more likely to place them around the targets randomly.

I don't know much about flash yet but I can imagine FLV is just some sort of special flash application which can also include arbitrary code.
Is it possible to track how many times that movie file has been played by letting the FLV file perform a server-callback when playback begins?

I have a site with a container clip which all other content loads into. When one movie loads, it has a button that I'd like to be able to click to go to another page in the site (ie. unload it's parent movie and load another swf into the same container clip.
How can I address the parent container clip and tell it to unload this movie and load another swf into it?

Say the ViewStack has two children, A and B. A is initially visible, whereas B is not. When an item gets added to the inventory, I'd like the user to be able to click on the item to affect another object (e.g. clicking screwdriver hides screws and displays other image) however when I add the code to the item, if the item is clicked and it's nowhere near the object it affects, the image pops up and it looks really stupid.
So what I'd like to be able to do, possibly using if and else statements or whatever's easiest, is to only have the inventory item be clickable if the movie clip of the object is affects is visible on the stage.

The main thing behind my need is WHEN the user GO FORWARD and BACKWARD in the main timeline the visibility of the text box should be unchanged unless the user decide to change it's visibility by clicking "chk_tbtn1" button.
In the code below every time the user go backward in timeline, it makes the txt box invinsible.

I'm currently making an animation which will eventually exceed the 16,000 frame limit (don't ask haha), so, short of making two movies and having to just start up the next one, what is the code for loading a movie? I presume they need to be in the same directory? So basically all I want is on the last frame of the movie the code executes and the second movie file opens up and starts. I guess I'd want the current movie to close, too.

Now what I want to do is when I click a link to a different page in my site, all I want to happen is for it to change the information on the 'text' movie. Do I need to make 5 different 'text' movies and just have each link load a the different movie or what?
