ActionScript 2.0 :: Visible Loading Of Layers Won't Start Movie At Beginning?
Oct 2, 2011
I am working on a tabular file that when you click on one of the tabs (there is 7) you view the content of that layer.
The code I am using works fine:
on (release) {
land._visible = true;
Tab1._visible = false;
[Code]....
but when you view the "land" layer, go back to another tab and go back to the "land" layer it doesn't reload and start at frame 1 but the last frame you were at.
I desperately need it to "reload" when you release on the action above and to GoToAndPlay frame 1 but whatever code I try it won't do it.
I have a flash CS project. I have one stage and some frames. How can I start all project from beginning using AS3? Or start all stage's content from beginning?
I have a layer I am using for construction purposes, it shows though in test movie. If I go to publish settings and untick include hidden layers on the flash tab, when I test movie, my cars don't appear along the guide lines at all and just pop into view as movie ends. How does one hide turned off visibility layers during test movie without affecting hidden guide lines ?
i am making a quiz. My problem is that once the user completes the quiz and wants to start again the quiz is already on the last question. How do i make it so that once the user clicks start again the questions and answers arrays start from the beginning, sort of reset themselves.
I want to load different movie files into one movie file randomly, all the movie files being loaded would be in the same layer, so after they are loaded, and have played, the next file would open, and so on....
I'm having some problems on some systems (seems to affect mostly 64-bit systems) where videos streamed from Flash Media Server 3.5 doesn't start from the beginning. I'm using NetStream.Buffer.Full to detect when the video starts. Usually this works ok, but sometimes the video doesn't skips a couple of seconds from the beginning even though the value of NetStream.time property is 0 when this happens.
Okay, this should be relatively easy but I'm running into errors. My main character is visible in the beginning of the game (where the main menu is) and because I coded it so that all of the enemies don't spawn unless the main character is visible, the enemies spawn too. As a result, if you stay at the main menu for long enough, the score continues to go up, the health goes down when enemies attack, etc.
I've used kirupa's 'Photo Gallery Using XML and Flash' tutorial & modified to make my gallery, you can view it here: ZedMedia.org by clicking on the photos section in the main page. what i want to do is, instead of reaching the end of all my photos and it stopping, i want it to go back to the beginning image & start all over again. i want the opposite to appen at the start. when the previous_btn is pressed i want it to go to the end of the gallery.
Created a text move clip that I have added Motion Tween, It works when I Play. But when I test Movie clip it does not work. What is the action script code to have it start when the it is loded in test.SWF?
I'm creating a basic game - snake. I have 2 layers, intro and game. I want the intro to start then you click 'Play' and it goes to game on 2nd frame. However they're both overlapping each other... [URL] How can I get 'game' to start at frame 2? (I've tried deleting frame 1, etc.)
I have made a video player based on the code from Lee's tutorial and I have modified it with help from code found in this forum. The video is paused from start and thats fine, but the bufferClip shows all the time (like forever) until i press the play button, I just want the bufferClip to be visible for as long the video is buffering.
Code: Select allns.setBufferTime(4); var firstPlay:Boolean = true; ns.onStatus = function(info){
I've been searching high and low for a tutorial for your Flash movie that will show you how to make the movie ask for the users name at the begining and then it'll disply the name later on in the movie.
I'm writing a Flex application and I came across what I think is a weird problem. I want to create a text box and a DateChooser as the datefield didn't do what I wanted and it's Halo so I can't skin it easily. I want the DateChooser to show when I click on the text input. Here is an except from my code:
I have a simple FLA that pans through an image up/down/left/right. There are several hotspots (transparent buttons) that popup simple captions when the user rolls over them and launches a URL when clicked.
The captions are actually one caption that I dynamically write text to, size, and _x, _y locate when the rollover event occurs.
The caption (cap) is a rectangle and text box MC symbol which is grouped with the graphic and buttons as another MC symbol. It all works great, panning, captions.
The problem is, when the mouse is first moved, the caption box appears over the graphic. I want it invisible until a rollover occurs. I have tried a setup function action in the first frame that performs cap._visible = false;, which did not solve it. That syntax works fine following the first rollout.
on (rollOver) { cap.desc.text = "Mr Reynolds"; cap._width = 7*cap.desc.text.length;
Have set up a file which preloads all of my images from an XML before displaying. However I'm having problems, one is the preload bar flashes slightly at the start, then is visible as I scroll through each image in the galleries. I've attached my fla file >> here <<
I have one line that is going down 500 pixels with the instance called 'vertical'. I also have a line set next to it with aplha = 0. When the vertical line going down reaches 300 pixels, I want the line which is set to 0 to set the alpha = 100. The code I am trying does not work.. Here is what I am putting in onClipEvent (enterFrame) { if (vertical._height = 300) { this._alpha = 100} } Seems simple enough, but the line becomes 100% alpha from the very beginning of the movie. Do I have to do anything with _root or what?
Actionscript 2.0I have a play and stop button in a movie clip. The actual button works great but does not pause the movie and then resume playback where it left off. Instead the movie goes back to the very beginning and stop/starts there. I need the button to resume playback where the movie was stoppedlike a pause and resume button. The videos load exernally through an FLVPlayback component (myVideo).The code is on the main time line in Actions layer.Here's the code for the button:
I have a motion tween that is 180 frames in length. When the tween ends on the last frame and returns to the first frame to replay there is a slight jump in the tween. Is there anyway to stop the tween from jumping from last frame to the first?
I created a movie clip which plays ok. But when it ends there is a slight jump, if you will, when it goes back to frame 1 to begin playing again. Does anyone know how to make the transition unnoticeable from the last frame of a movie clip to the first frame of a movie clip?
Is there an SWF player with a slider control, play and Stop, total play time; so you can jump to different sections in an SWF movie without having to watch it from beginning to end?
I'm working on a Flash movie that includes a simple on/off audio player. At the end of the movie it loops back to the beginning and plays again. if the viewer hits the sound off button it will turn the sound off untill the movie loops and then the audio automatically starts again. The viewer would then have to hit play again and then stop to stop it. Is it possible to fix this? I think that I ned to put a piece of code at the beginning of the movie to check if the sound is off or not and then to continue to keep it off if needed?Here is the code for the sound player I am using...
var mySound:Sound = new Sound(); var myChannel:SoundChannel = new SoundChannel(); var lastPosition:Number = 0; mySound.load(new URLRequest("GlidingOnAir.mp3"));
On one layer I have a movieclip holding thumbnails and on another layer below that layer I have a loader component that the images are being loaded into. When the images are loaded, they are loading on top of the thumbnails movieclip.
I am making a website with 5 links. I chose to have the whole site in one big movie so there was no loading of external SWF's.
Say I click on Link #1 , Link #1 opens Then I click on Link #2 , Link #2 opens Then I want to go back to Link #1..... BUT.... the MC for Link #2 is arranged on top of #1 so there is no way of going back. Is there a way to set focus of layers through actionscript?
I have two xmls, xml1 and xml2. Both have same structure, only data are different. Button 1 loads xml1 and button2 loads xml2. Both calls same function to load XML. First i press button1, so xml1 starts loading, but if before xml1 is completely loaded, i press button2, xml2 also starts loading. If for some reason the xml2 loads first i get data from xml2. But when i look at the bandwidth profiler in flash , xml1 is still loading. When xml1 is loaded it will replace data from xml2. SInce i pressed button2 last, i would want data from xml2. So is it possible to stop loading the previous xml when i start loading another xml?
I'm currently making an animation which will eventually exceed the 16,000 frame limit (don't ask haha), so, short of making two movies and having to just start up the next one, what is the code for loading a movie? I presume they need to be in the same directory? So basically all I want is on the last frame of the movie the code executes and the second movie file opens up and starts. I guess I'd want the current movie to close, too.
I'm making an interactive book and I would like to make my "Text"-layer invisible when I start the "Turn Page"-animation. It's either that, or I'm gonna have to put a code for EVERY 23 MoveClips with the Texts in them, since I'm using the same "Turn Page"-button.
We have a Flash game which need to be loaded and played from an AIR app. using the swf loader, the game swf is loaded into the AIR app. But the static background layers of the swf are not appearing in the loaded game.
Those graphical elements which are generated via action script only are appearing. When we are playing it independently (outside the AIR app), it works fine. Is there a setting that i am missing in Flash or Flex. we are working with Flex 4.
