im getting a bit stuck with trying to attach movieclips according to a randomized array (for a card game

all it seems to do is writeover every card with the next one so all im left with is the last card of the hand being shown
is it possible to keep the loaded movies and then attach them to a mc ?The thing is that I have several external resources to load and I wish to attach them pour MCs along the execution of the movie.

I am having problems with attaching multiple instances of the same mc, and tring to get an onMouseDown event for each of them.
The problem is that if I mousedown on one of the attached mc's, then all the attached mc's will trigger the onMouseDown event instead of only the one I clicked on.
the trace returns "onMouseDown called on 1" ...."n" instead of a single trace statement.

I'm at 16000 frames and not even half way done.How do I link movies that will loop on a DVD? I'm guessing by the time i'm done i'll probably have 4-5 movies.

My question is can you attach the links in a text file by putting html tags in there or is it better to turn the text file into an XML file with the tags in there?Also can you attach CSS styles to that text file.. for instance in addition to adding links to the text I would also like to change the color of the text.

View 7 Repliespoint me to anything which will help me dynamically attach movieclips from the library into one main movieclip, which then I can duplicate it many times..You see, what happens with duplicateMovieClip,is that it duplicates the main movieclip itself, without taking its contents..I want to take the contents too. The only way I can imagine this could work, was if I could take a 'snapshot' of the movieclip and keep it as a bitmap, from which this could be duplicated - because I dont need the movieclip and its contents to contain code or have any animation playing. The buttons are determined from test questions that they missed and the missed questions are stored in an array called categories. There can be multiple instances of the same name inside the category array so I'm weeding them out into the holder array so that there is only one occurrence of each category. The problem lies with my onRelease section of the code. All of the buttons and labels are created fine but the buttons don't do anything

I'm having trouble getting my scrollbar to work with dynamically loaded movies inside the movie the scrollbar is attached to.An example of my working scrollbar code with static data and my broken scrollbar with dynamic data can be found here: [URL]
I have a for loop that pulls data from my database, populates a topMovie(contentMain) with 20 subMovies inside it. My scrollbar is attached to topMovie. Once the data is loaded and the topMovie is populated, the scrollFace(not ScrollTrack) dissapears and the dynamic movie is not scrollable.As a test, I populated the topMovie with graphic boxes and no dynamic movies and it scrolls just fine.
