I wish to have a standard row with string items except two items,no 1 there is a date field and I need a date selector for it.no 2 in another cell of the row I want to put a drop down list box containing text "40" and "20" or you can manually edit the cell so that it displays what ever input you decide (other than 40 and 20)
I am using a drop down menu, with all its code written in .js file. I have a flash on my website. The drop down menu shows more content when you hover on top of any category, but this additional content is hiding behind the flash file, the flash file is over lapping the drop down menu content
I know there has been several posts on this topic, but i wanted to see what was the best way. I need to create a drop down menu on an html site. I was thinking of doing it in flash however i need the drop down to extend downwards over the html content. I read online that you can make the flash bg transparent using wmode and that would make it look as if it is overlying the html. However this transparent mode isnt supported in Safari. Is there a better way of doing this?
I've made a site where an iframe calls to a top navigation element, with a javascript drop down menu. I have it working where the menu drops over a center flash element, but even when the menu is not "dropped" - any element in that area on the flash does not respond to clicks.
I've changed z indexes, and now i cant seem to get the flash file to even be ontop of the iframe -
Is there a library simplifying the process of dragging and dropping between the Flash/Flex environment and the surrounding browser?
I've done some research on the process, and so far the closest thing that I have found is from HTML to Flash in a Floorplanning application. I have yet to find a demo going in the other direction however.
I am working in a small web applications. this web applications let us to drag and drop the text and image from html page inside the flash player. when I tried to google the scenario I came to know about Drag and drop in AIR. but it is also specified that it will be only used in AIR and not in player is there any other way to work this out.
I am trying to build an ordered list in Flash using html text but Flash doesn't recognize my <ol> </ol> and <li> </li> tags, my <br> tags work though...
This is my test code (the text is inside Flash at the moment):
Code: //Text Format var textFormat:TextFormat = new TextFormat(); txt.paddingTop = 2;
I have an iframe to a page where a Flash swf file is running; does anybody have an idea how to make it transparent so that my drop-down menu should be shown perfectly? Kindly be informed I can't edit the source page (add param = wmode, value = transparent to the Flash object), only if there is any chance to make it possible in iframe or some JavaScript on my page, I have already tried allowtransparency="true" and background-color="transparent".
I want to make a drop down list menu which open when mouse-over not click as you can see I use
<sropDownList id="dl" rollOver="dl.openDropDown()" but the problem appears when I try to close it.I can't use this rollOut="dl.CloseDropDown()" because It will close too soon(When It open I've tried to move my mouse down to the sub-item but the list will close if I move to somewhere else that's not a list base so I can't select the item on the list because it close before I can)
I'm looking for a way to drag names from a scrollable list and drop them into another area.From what I've read, it doesn't seem like I can use the List component if I want to achieve this, but I'm having trouble thinking of a way.Basically, I'm going to have a input text box that will be used to be populate the list. Then I would like the ability to drag the names from the list to a blank area.I was able to get it working with the input text box to populate the list, it was just the dragging part that caused me trouble.
How would I get a drop downlist to populate with check boxes. I am porting a c# project to flex, and I would like to imitate the functionality of their checkbox drop list.
I have a List with an item renderer and would like to enable drag-and-drop onto the items in the list, rather than adding the data to the list. Is it possible to find the item that is being hovered over when dragging?
I have set up some lists (<mx:List>) in Flex... I have drag and drop working fine, in that I can move elements easily from list to list. For some reason though, my DragInitiator and the currentTarget of my event are the same... even though I am obviously moving from list to list... Does anyone have an example of a function that I can call on my "dragComplete" event that will tell me the current target which will give me the id of the List object I am dropping on?This is my current function which is always returning true...
Code: private function _dropped(e:DragEvent):void {
I am trying to build a dropdown list of fonts with each item in the list being written in its font ("Arial" is in arial, "Comic Sans" is in Comic Sans, etc.). What is the best way to do this? Here is the latest code that I have attempted:
I have two spark lists,backed up by Array Collections, both of which accept drag & drop either to move objects between them or to reorder within the lists. I have a method which is called on drop which resets some properties of the object to 0, this works as expected...
protected function list_dragDropHandler(event:DragEvent):void { if(event.action != DragManager.NONE) {
[Code].....
What I would like to do is only call this method only when the objects are moved to another list, currently it is called when I reorder within the same list too
I am trying to implement a drag and drop function between a list control and a columnchart in Flex3. List items should, when dragged and dropped on the chart, be displayed raphically in the columnchart.Alas, dropping the listitems on the chart does not seem to result in a proper graph.Here my code till so far with regard to the drop part:
private function doDragDrop(event:DragEvent):void{ var ds:DragSource = event.dragSource; var dropTarget:ChartBase=ChartBase(event.currentTarget);
I have this project for school where i have to populate a drop down list control from an xml file.I mange to do that for a label/text input control, but i can't seem to do that on a drop down.I get this error any time i tell him to "additem" with an xml query (not getting it with simple text):"#1009 Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference"[code]...
When a combobox is elected in the flex app, there is a quick flicker, then the combobox needs to be selected again in order to get the dropdown to open. After that, the dropdown works as expected, but only while selecting the control subsequent times while on the form. Reloading the form requires the double selection again.
I just started using Flash Builder 4 (yesterday infact).
I have two lists and a canvas. When dropping a list item onto the canvas, i want to trace what item it is (the label and data) and which list it came from. From there, i want to add an image to the canvas according to the dropped item.
Here's my current code
private function componentDragEnterHandler(event:DragEvent):void { DragManager.acceptDragDrop(Canvas(event.currentTarget)); DragManager.showFeedback( DragManager.COPY ); }
I have a combo box on the stage in a main SWF. when the user selects an item in the dropdown list a child SWF is launched into level0 using loadMovieNum and data is left behind using _global variables for the child SWF to use. this works fine and well. but inside the new child SWF that is launched is a button that takes you back to the previous main SWF with the ComboBox. its done using the same method loadMovieNum into level0. and the main SWF loads but you cannot open the ComboBox. it will not drop down. the halo green color on hover over is there and it gets darker when you click, but the list doesn't drop down. here is some code that I think may be significant to the situation...
I have a Flash Web site for a small literary journal and am trying to switch over to my hosting service's mailing list manager for sending out newsletters. I see the HTML code for setting this up (available from my host), but do not know how to get it to work in my Flash site. (I did not build the site and know very little about Flash...I'm learning as I go in order to do updates.) It looks like the site currenly links to a PHP file to allow for sign ups to our newsletter. Can anyone tell me h how to get the HTML code to work on my site?
