ActionScript 2.0 :: Making An Image Transition Animation?
Jan 29, 2009
I am not new to flash. I am making an image transition animation. But when i move an image from one point to another point that in x or y position it gets shaky and image animation is not smooth at all. I am just trapped that what do? i have tried the image in different qualities and resolutions but dont know how to do it.
I am attaching the shaky.zip file. Im using motion tween to animate the image.
so I have a looping animation that is several frames long. Inside the animation is a button, when pressed I want to go to another part of the timeline, where another animation is waiting. Simple, I got that working no problem. But... I need the first animation to go to the last frame in the loop before starting the next animation. The way I have it now makes an ugly cut, and the transition between animations isn't seamless.
I've been looking around trying to find out how to implement a custom transition and no-one seems to have any info on it...

Check out the black iris transitions from 30seconds onwards, that is exactly the kind of thing I am looking for (not smooth, blocky and pixelled like those are). how to implement that as a flex transition between two states?
Here's the deal:I have an image and a button on my mobile app's homeview. I apply an animation to the image by pressing the button. That works great. PROBLEM:I want to add a view transition that pushes to the next view after the animation completes.CODE:
I need to create an animation which is trigerred when the cursor hovers over it. The animation is an acronym which expands to its full form, eg when I hover over "CSS3" . it should expand to "cascading style sheet" with ascading appearing in between the letters "C" and "S" with the letters coming one after the other will it be possible only through CSS3?Editor notes, I presume he means, like the new letters are typed, rather then just appear all at once)
I just started developing in "Flash Builder 4" (flex framework) and I just can't figure out what the development process of animating characters should look like. My goal is to animate (standing - walking - jumping ...) a simple character like the stick figures in the game "Stick War" [URL]. I know there is a technique to do so by shape tweening in the Adobe Flash tool by using keyframes. But what I can't figure out is how to do it in Flex. Also it would be nice to get a description of a workflow from drawings to animation to code. Especially how to encapsulate the animated character in a class that manages the transition from e.g. running to jumping.
I want to load a new movie using AS, after an transition animation has played once a button has been clicked .... > here is my code: (ps using lacos motion tween btw)
#include "lmc_tween.as" var t:Number = transition_mc._xscale; var ys:Number = 400;[code]....
It doesnt work the onEnterFrame isnt fireing, although t IS greater than ys by that point..
I have an image in Flex I want to change the image with actionscript to show some other image say every 3 seconds or so. I also want to make transition between the image and the next one for instance fade in/out.
does anyone know how to disable that slide animation and just have the action bar instantly change to whatever action bar the next view contains, but still do a slide navigation for the rest of the view. My Action bar doesn't change on every page so seeing the same image reload repetitively in the action bar.
I'm extending a tutorial from Flashtuts by Michael Chen. My goal is to have the grid fill in random, masking the image for a transition, as the famed Mask Effect transition from Flash-filter. This is what i got so far: URL]
Im currently working on a project where I have a 92x92 pixel image that needs to tween into a 711x300 pixel image. The images are the same but cropped to these sizes via photoshop, imported into flash, then converted to graphic symbols. I want to have the 92x92 image tween into the 711x300 image.
I say tween, but the two tweens aren't working correctly, I can't seem to find a "crop" like function in flash that will let me adjust the large image for when its supposed to be small, then have it tween between the two sizes as i need them to.
I have the following code from FW to scale my background image while keeping proportion, however how do I change/fade into other pictures using Pic as my MC?
Code: //set stage for FBF //set stage for FBF stage.align = "TL";
I'm able to add Photo transition to the image gallery, but when I change the transition to blinds, it doesn't work.
Code for Photo Transition //------------------transition----------------------------\ //in order to hold transitions, it needs a mc to hold picLoader; import fl.transitions.*;
Im looking for a random transition effect in flash.... say for example i have 10 images.... Each time page refreshes images should be shuffled and be loaded.
was wondering if anyone could assist me with some actionscript. I am working on a project similar to this (thehideout.org.uk/refuge/) and making the background image move around as if it the scene is a POV.
I need the ActionScript (2.0): 1) When rolling over a moving image (like a filmstrip), I want the image to stop and then it zooms into a larger image. 2) Then when you click on the larger image, it goes to another URL page in my webiste.
im making a button and on the rollover animation I want to have it splatter paint, only thing is I dont know how to get an image into flash that doesnt look crappy. I know that I need a vector image, but im not familiar with vectors as I usually use photoshop. I tried using a photoshop brush image, a simple paint splatter in which I was just going to tween to a larger splatter but like I said the image looks blurred because itsa bitmap.
another newbie question, but when you make an animated button, is the background included in the animation? Like lets say I import a button, give it an animation to glow on rollover or something, if i went to use that .swf would the background that it was placed on show? or would it just be the animation that shows on the default web browser background.
I have to load several images and then do 3D image animation. For this if I use Flash CS4 platform,do I have to use Papervision 3D or other 3D open source classes. Further,I have to create a movie file which contains all the image animation and allow user to view it. It is similar to [URL] website concept. So,is it possible to make .mp4 files with actionscript or I have to rely on AIR platform.
i am making a website where i need to fade full screen images. At the moment i am using TweenMax engine to change their alpha, but i think its slow on some computers ... Here is the website ( not finished ), you can see what i mean. I tried using colorTransform to change images alpha, but its even slower:
var ct:ColorTransform = new ColorTransform(1,1,1,0.95,0,0,0,0); onEnterFrame = function(){ _root.PrevBitmapData.colorTransform(_root.PrevBitm apData.rectangle,_root.ct);
i no, this topic looks like the one i found here, but it is not tottally explanatiory, before the question its nice beiing a part od the community. My question is, in my background i created a movieclip background and inside of that i put the images that i liked to transition one and than comes the other, but this is a lot of time just making the tweenings, it makes no sence having this work, could someone give me a code out there that i could make this background movieclip getting the images from a folder imgbackground from xml? How to create a xml file to the code get this images?
I am trying to create a transition where an image looks like it's being painted on screen, much like the brush transition in the link below. [URL]. Can I create something this on a timeline without action script? I also want to maintain the brush stroke and diagonal look when wiping to a new image.
I'm endeavoring to learn how to create the image transition effect on this site:http:[url]....
Where the next image in the array that is to be front and center is offset to the left, ready to be in full view...when you click the next button, the current image fades out and the image that is waiting on the side shoots in...I know the xml part,
I'm very new at Flash and while Ive picked up the basics of tweening and creating animations. I'm trying to create an image of a post it note that is revelaed via a mask when a user rolls over a seperate image. I have created the animation of the mask and it revelas the note fine. My question is how do I create an invisible button and code it in action script so when I roll over image 1 my mask tween begins playing to reveal the post it.
I was making an animation in flash cs4 and i was making a play/pause button. Everything pauses when clicked but the play button gives me an issue. I have some movie clips with animations in them so when i tell them to play, instead of resuming where they were, they play regardless of whether or not they should be playing.
I have my images loaded into a mc with a fade transition using mx.transitions. As the image fades there is a streaking line which rolls across the image. What causes this?
I've made a simple picture slideshow. With 10 frames and on each frame a movieclip. On every frame, I use the 'loadMovie' method to import a file..A set of buttons are used to surf through the frames..Okay, I wanted to know, is there any other possible way to add a fade-in fade-out transition while changing the pic from frame 1 to frame 2.. ?The way i know of doing it will be like this;Making a movieclip, MC1, and in there, another movieclip, imagehandler MC, where that image is brought using 'loadMovie' method. And fading in imagehandler MC from frame 0 to frame 10 using motion tweening like we normally do..And putting that MC1 (with MC2 fade in effect inside)to each of the 10 frames in the main slideshow timeline (making different MC1 like MCs for each image)..But this way its much more work and more cramping in the library..
