ActionScript 2.0 :: Multiple Conditions - An Object Will Go To A New Frame If Multiple Buttons Are Pressed?

i have an if statement, an object will go to a new frame if multiple buttons are pressed
PHP Code:[code].....
now i want it so that if one condition is met the mc will goto frame 2, if 2 conditions are met, frame 3 and if 3 conditions are met, frame 4.i know i could do this with a lot of if statements but i have a lot of movie clips to use this code on, so is there any way to write an if statement that will trigger different options if multiple conditions are met?

I have some code that needs to read like the following:IF the original position(origX) DOES NOT EQUAL where my object is(this._x) AND delay variable(delay) is set to 0, then I need to display a movieclip. There is an X on the movieclip so users can close it, and when they click the X, the delay variable is set back to 1, so the movieclip won't keep loading.

I want to set multiple conditions for an if statement, but I don't want the conditions to all have to be true, I want to say if (a or b or c or d, etc. is true) then do this. I don't want to say if (a && b && c && d, etc. is true). Is it possible to have an if statement with an "or" in the condition? If so, what's the proper syntax for that?

So the loop carrys on as long as 'i' doesnt exceed the length of the array AND a Boolean remains false.

If I have one parent class that instantiates 5-10 different child classes, each of which need to load multiple assets etc, how can I check within that parent class to make sure all of the 5-10 children are loaded & ready to go before telling the program to continue?
The tricky part is that the exact number of those 5-10 classes that are instantiated is determined at runtime, so I can never be certain which I should be waiting on and which not to be waiting on. And just to be clear, these are different modules of sorts, not multiple instances of the same exact class.

I have a button that I want to play first one frame label in a movie clip, and then another, depending on a variable.
The problem that I am having is that the movie does not wait for the first part to finish before jumping to the next.
Here is an example of the code

It goes right to Bbeg, flickering briefly over A2beg which will not do!

How do I code AS 3.0 to have multiple buttons on a frame selected sequentially? I have on frame with 4 buttons programmed to go to a specif frame when clicked. However, I want the buttons selected selected sequentially, so a user can not just click the last button and be finished with the CBT.

I have a problem when making flash applications with more than one frame that has symbols placed on it in that I can't declare all of the event listeners for the objects at the same time and I have found that even if I put them all on the first frame, add the event listeners, then click through to the next frame then the buttons won't work on that frame.
Does anyone have any idea how I could solve this? I did consider myself a fairly competent AS3 programmer until I realised I had no idea how to handle this sort of thing. Solved: I initialised the clips from my external class and then addChild'd and removeChild'd them as I needed to and placed their x and y on addChilding.

I have a map with a list of items to the side. I want the list to work as buttons and highlight both the button and the particular image on the map... and when you click you link to a certain location.I also want to be able to MouseOver the map, have both the image on the map and the corresponding 'button' from the list highlight - but when you click, you go to a different location than if you would have clicked from the list.I have it set up - but something is conflicting. I am creating a stand alone DVD to be used with Flash player. I am wanting to add different videos that play with different buttons. I'm working on AS3 on main timeline. I have 20 frame labels parte1 to parte20. On parte1 I have a preloader and SharedOject code. The preloader works fine. On parte8 I have a movie clip (whole_master), which contains three frame levels (g_level_1, g_level_22, and g_level_33). Each frame contains a level of a game. My sharedObject doesn't work.

In version before flash CS5, we could copy multiple objects from multiple layer by just click and drag + ALT, that was really usefull and it becames vital for me. Now in the CS5... the click and drag + ALT on multiple objects from multiple layer is copying all objects to only one layer !

Can you use multiple conditions in a for loop?
For example, I am trying to attach images 1-6 to a specific movieclip, and images 7-12 to another and so on.
So my logic was to do this:

for (i=1: i>6 && i<13; i++) {

But it's not working. Ony the top loop works.

and so far it works good, except when I press shift. If I'm holding the left or right arrow key and then I press shift, the object stops moving and doesn't do anything. However, if I release the arrow key and THEN press and hold shift, it works perfectly. How can I make it so that I can press shift while I'm holding the arrow key and still have it work?

Im having a problem getting responsive keyboard movement. I have a key_up listener which fails to trigger when 3 keys are down. E.g. Imagine up and right keys are being pressed to move up + right. The user wants to change to moving up + left. The user presses the left key before lifting thg right key. I have a key_up listener to detect when a key is no longer being pressed. However in this scenario it fails to trigger when 3 keys are pressed. Even in this online example, there is the same problem, look how unresponsive it is when chaging from up right to up left really quickly. [URL]

Using Flash 8 and as2.0 I am trying to create a simple (!) app. that lets a user click one of ten buttons to go to a gallery.
On frame 1 of the .fla I have ten buttons, and on frame 2 a target mc. Frame 2 also has the script to create an xml 'object'. In the same folder as the .swf, I have ten xml files.
How can I get each button when clicked to 'pass' the url for the specific xml file to the xml script in frame 2? My xml script works pertectly if I key in the url, ie

I have three buttons. My goal is that each button will load and play a sound file from the internet. Here is what I have:

Every Button I press goes to the same sound file. The best I can figure, is that the file I loaded the first time I pressed a button has been uploaded, and from there I cannot load another file over that variable when I try another button.

I'm designing a website for a Reiki/Spiritual advisor thingymebob and I have a menu on the left of my page of buttons and when I click a button it displays the contents of the button on the stage. Easy enough, so to speak, but the code I have written should send the viewer to a certain frame in the timeline where the tween begins.
When I play the swf and click the home button it works perfectly on the first page and if I go down the menu and click every other button in order they too all work fine, but as soon as I start clicking any other button randomly there is no tween effect and it seems to send me to the wrong page(!) plus straight to the clear text on the stage without any fading in tween. As though it has just gone to the last frame of the tween.
Here's the code below. I've asked the spiritual advisor for guidance and he sent me here, so please prove him right - ha ha!

What I have done:
1/ A very simple Flash movie
2/ 5 very basic rollover buttons
