how to have a movie play, then have the program go to the next frame? For example, start the .swf, have it play a movie or 2, then go to the main menu.
I know how to import video, I just have no clue how to code it to play the video, then go to the next frame. I'm sure there's a tutorial for it somewhere, but I haven't had much luck finding it.
I'm working on a Flash file here and am having a bit of trouble getting it to do what I'd like. Basically, the file has 3 sections:1) The main content and a Play button (I've got this made and working)2) The video itself that plays when you click the play button (I've also go this taken care of)3) After the video plays, I need to to go to another frame or scene that is different from the first.Is there a way to do this? I've been Googling for a while now but I keep coming up empty.

My video continues to play when I click another button, I have tried using soundMix, but that cuts off all the sound to my other videos. Iam new and have been trying to serach for this problem for over 2+ weeks.

The above code is on a blank keyframe. Changepage1 is the start of the animation and Changepage2 is the end of the animation.
Upon clicking the navigation button it plays the above scenes.
However it doesn't change scenes to scene "Home2".
i have a movieclip on stage. it has 3 frames but is stopped with "stop():" so it only shows the first frame on mousedown i want it to play frame 2 for a duration of 1 frame then frame 3.

This is a snippet of some code I'm working on. Currently I have a mc that you press that plays another mc. That mc that reacts has 5 frames, each frame with stop(); on each frame. I do a normal play code because it lets me play through and cycle back to frame 1 after frame 5 (so if I click the mc it eventually cycles back to the first frame and starts the process over again). If I do a nextframe it stops at frame 5, so that's why I use play.
press_mc click on it and it tells mover2_mc to advance a frame and recycles back to frame one to redo the process.Can I tell press_mc to play and skip a frame or to have it play a list of frames that I tell? I can't do a _currentframe +2 because it'll halt at frame 5.

I'd like my Flash site to be bi-lingual. What I have currently is a Flash movie with an empty Movie Clip which then allows users to go from movie to movie. The movies are all small movieClips that are loaded into the empty movieclip on demand. There is some video and text in each of the 30 movieClips.

My solution for the bilingual version is to create a separate frame with the French version + video and then when user presses the French button they are directed to that frame. This way I could easily create the French text within the one movie. however i don't know the Actionscript code to call up a movieClip to play from frame 10, and not frame 1.
I am creating a site, and it has a animation that it has to play before loading the next section. What I cant figure out is what function I need to create so that when a user clicks on the vision button it will play the frame after stop(); which will close that section, then have it load the frame for the section that the person clicked on. The only way I can think of doing this is creating 3 different close animations for the three sections. But I figure there has to be a way to have it play the one close animation and then goto the frame which is the portfolio section or vision section (depending on the button clicked).

View 1 RepliesThe stop button plays as expected. The play/pause button plays as expected. The issue is when you press pause which will cause the play button to appear, then press stop. the video automatically plays and it shouldn't. I have bolded the control button script for convenience.

and the vid doesn't play until it's fully loaded
Why does my swf's skin referenced by a simple component FLA work locally but NOT live? There's no AS3 in the component FLA. It's just a one-layer component referenced to the the FLV. When I test locally, IN FLASH CS4 ONLY, and click on "Animalia - Verse From the Zoo" the FLV and skin load and the video (source FLV - "Sequence01.flv") plays. But the same thing live only loads the swf for the FLV file area but NO SKIN. Try it yourself, please:Has anyone had this problem and knows the solution? All files are in the SAME FOLDER on the web server. I've tried every URL and path combination I can think of on the website. I've tried referencing the whole URL.
Yet whatever path combination I try, either nothing happens, or I just get the FLV box but no skin. Which is what's happening now. Publish settings are set to Flash Player 10 for all files. And I've tried the component SWF WITH and WITHOUT the fl.video package (import fl.video.*. No difference. Why does the skin load and play locally but not live? It's all AS3. No AS2. And it does not seem to be a "publish settings" issue as far as I can see. The relevant code in my API is:

I have a project where I am bringing in one video with a cue point at the very end with the name of "End." I'm trying to have the next video play when the first video reaches that cue point. I built a button in one of the movie clips in my project,
when I release this button, it goes to the 41st frame of the main timeline and continue to play until the frame 70 which has got a stop; command. till here everything's just OK. But I want this button to do something more though I don't know whether it's possible or not.
I want this button to go and play the frame number 41 in the main timeline, and then after it stopped at the frame 70 , then jump to frame 73.
I have a small flash site made up of a number of pages all on the one timeline.
The query is this. When i release a button i want the timeline to roll on for x frames (fading components out) before going to the frame that button links to (The beginning of the new page).
I have no idea what AS to use for this.
No matter where in the timeline you are, the button should fade out that area and then skip to a new one.
When you click a button I want my flash to go to the frame label where the movie clip is located, and then play a certain frame of that movie clip.

I was setting it up making it drop behind a square where the spark travelled and i used the setmask command to mask it, problem is, the setmask command only works with one instance at a time! Can i group multiple instances with actionscript? Or can i have it dump the squares on a mask layer with actionscript.I was also wondering if i could just make the script play on every frame without copying it to every frame? I tried the on enter frame deal but it didn't work.

In that frame is a flash movie that contains the video that I have embedded onto the timeline for the movie. The filesize for this project is massive and I am struggling to work on the file. I want to be able to play the video files with the playback component in each of the frames where the video was.
