The thing is that it rotates aroung its upper left corner. So how do I specify that I want it to rotate from the middle of the MC ?
I'm trying to basically make an arrow in the middle rotate till it points at the button you rolled over. Each button gives a value for "rot" when you roll over it. 0 degrees is up. I dunno if that's important or not. It's probably always up = 0... heh. Anyway this is the a/s for the "arrow" in the middle. It's instance is arcpoint. Here it is:

I know some of this stuff could probably be shortened but this is how I got it working so far. The problem is the second half of the a/s. The part where it picks a direction clockwise or counter. If it goes clockwise (which I had it working fine at the start) it points at the button fine.But the problem kicks in when it tries to go clounterclockwise. It will always pass the button and point down and flicker back and forth.
Edit: Ok I'm surprised people are even looking at this at 1 am but thats beside the point of this edit. I think it has something to do with the else if statements conditions overlapping so that's what makes it wiggle back and forth. Then again I could be wrong. I'm trying to analyze the conditions but my brain hurts and it's early (or late...).
I am having some dificulty making a path for this enemy i'm trying to create... cause i want him to rotate + move, then stop, then shoot, then rotate back and move off screen... Its easier if you see it.. you can download the swf file in the zipped archive to demonstrate what i mean. I did it there with tweens. Anyway.. i tried and make it but i'm a little stuck on the stopping part... you can also see what i did in the fla file attatched...

Now, when it scales, it scales from the movieclip var registration point of 0,0. So when it scales, it appears to grow in two directions (down and to the right)Is there a way to have it scale from the center of the box so that it scales equally in all 4 directions?

I have simple sliding pages mechanism in my flash file, all done with AS3 code. Now the pages, which are movieclips, are slid off the screen on a button press. Sometimes, everything goes smoothly, but on some people's computers the sliding pages get stuck in the middle, and then the next slide starts from the wrong position. I'm using the netstream and video object to play a video in flash. Specifically a mp4 video.
What I'm trying to do is start playing the file from a specific position (Ex. 20seconds).
However with netstreamObject.seek(20) doesn't work unless the stream has been loaded past 20seconds. Is there a way to specify starting to load at 20s? Or any other way of accomplishing this?

I've got them scaling to the size I want but the middle and right boxes are scaling in the wrong direction: I need the middle one to scale out from the centre and the right one to scale out towards the left from the top right (ie the reverse of what the left one does). If you look at it in Firefox or Safari, though, the site title (sliding and fading in from the bottom left) and the navigation (sliding and fading in from the bottom right) stop somewhere around halfway (exactly where often changes).
It appears as if the Tweens are simply stopping about in the middle of their process. This only appears to happen in Safari and Firefox, though - every time it happens in these browsers whereas I can never get it to happen in Internet Explorer.
The objects that are involved in the iffy transitions all exist on the stage in my Flash project whereas the rotating photos are loaded in from external image files - the Flash movie gets their URLs from an XML document.
I have a map that uses a control to zoom in on it, but when it zooms it always uses the registration point to scale the image(map). This registration point is always located at the center of the image(map). There are 4 stages of zoom and each one then re-zooms at the center of the image(map).
I need this to zoom relative to the center of the users viewport area.
