I have a Flash Video custom player skin thingy that I've created that plays 4 different videos. Now they want to add a "Download Video" link and for the life of me, I can't figure out how to populate the URL to each video. Here's the AS I have so far:

I'm loading 6 variables from a text file to populate an array, then using setInterval to populate two textfields every 5 seconds. IE7 gives me the "A script in this file is causing Flash Player 10 to run slowly do you want to abort this script?" It runs fine locally, but when I upload it, it won't work. Files are in the same folder in each case. Here is the entire script.

But in the mean time if any of the C# function calls their internal function(C# function) video gets stuck for that duration and play again after C# function gets data.

1. the mLoader.width and height doesn't return anything
2. When I input the loader manually, nothing comes up just some dots on the screen.

i'm loading text into flash via XML, into a dynamic textfield. so when populated, eg:

is there a way that while populating the text. i can also make them as hyperlink?
example. site 1, xxxx, when URL is loaded www.xxxxx.com, user can immediately click on the text and navigate to the URL.
from all my sources, event listener must be added. So do I have to create individual textfield in order to hold the URL?
I am using Flash CS3 and Actionscript 2.
So I have inherited this flash project which when completely published is basically a tutorial video for software. It is set up such that there is one large movie that loads other flash movies via actionscript (I guess).
The project was supposed to be designed so that it would be easy to make translated versions, so all the software UI items (File menu, tool box, etc.) are cut into pieces and in the library. In theory a person could go and just switch out the library graphics and presto, you have a French version instead of English.
While all these elements are in the library, you can never actually see them on the stage in Flash. When you publish the project, all the items are in place. I have hunted through the actionscript and don't see the images called up.
Does anyone know how these images are being called up into the actual final swf?
I am facing a problem using a preloader which is nested in an MC. When I load an external swf the preloader gets stuck on 100%. This is the code for the preloader:

It seems to me that all I need is to get my youtube chromeless player that I've loaded in the place I want it to be. Preview As you can see it's not loaded into my MovieClip! I have a movie which is serving as a button.When you rollover the image, it grows, and stops.When you rollOut, it shrinks, and stops.This code works fine. The Problem:When you scroll the mouse over quickly, the animation get stuck and doesn't execute the rollOut code.This is most likely because the first rollOver action hasn't yet completed.Here's my code:

I made a flash website with photo galleries using a component that I bought online. The component is loading the image in a thumbnail scroll bar via a XML file and the full size image display in a UILoader. So far nothing special. But when I reach a certain amount of pictures in the gallery, the scroll panel get stuck while loading and doesn't display the full size image. Then the thumbnails don't react at all.

It seems like the loading screen (more like frame) is the last thing to load, so you are stuck staring at a blank screen for a while. How can i prioritize how the game loads so that the instant you get on the page the loading screen comes up immediately?

I am downloading a flash video with Perl. Is there a way to interact with the flash video like retrieving variables from the flash video, like you can do in C#?
For instance, in C# you can put a Shockwave Flash Object on a form and then you can do GetVariable/SetVariable on that object. I don't want to/don't care if I can see the video, I just want something like the Get/SetVariable of the C# Shockwave Flash object.

I'm attempting to hit an off-domain url with some variables attached. The domain has a cross domain policy file on it, but flash is looking for the file after the url with the variables attached which then fails.Example:I want to hit: www.sample.com?someArg=1I have even tried loading the cross domain file prior to making the call and it is found ok, but flash then looks again when I attempt to hit the url with variables attached as if it is another domain.

i want to turn the visibility of a button clip on or off from within my loaded XML code. i know that my xml is loading and working correctly. in my XML file, i have visible="true" set up as an attribute to one of my nodes. what do i need to do to get

What is technical difference between buffering and loading ? Say, i have a video, which is showing loader bar in progress. Then what's happening exactly ? Buffering or Loading ?

I have several Movie Clips in the Library which I need to be able to load and bring up on the screen randomly.The code below shows how I can load one of these, but to get a proper control ideally I would like to load them all in to an array or numbered variables so that they can be called from a simple piece of code and actioned one at a time.
My movieclips can all be called something simple like mc1, mc2, mc3, mc4 etc to make things easier.These need to be referenced in to an array mcContainer[.....] or as mcContainer1, mcContainer2........ so that they can be called easily.I just need to know the simplest way to do this and how i reference them, I have tried several ways like ["mc"+i] etc and nothing seems to work.
