ActionScript 2.0 :: Tween Class Button - User Click On The Top Rectangle And It Moves To Reveal The One Underneath It

i am creating a simple set of a few rectangles stacked on top of eachother (going to be like a stack of postcards) and i want to have the user click on the top rectangle and it moves to reveal the one underneath it. i have it all set up to work except i can't think of a way to stop it from being clickable after it's been moved to the side and the 2nd rectangle is revealed. does this make any sense? here is my code:
What i want is: A slider that can be pulled by the user across an image to reveal a second one underneath. The same as this example, only I want a vertical scroll button not a horizontal. [URL]

I am trying to get when a user mouses over the button some content shows up and moves with the mouse until that user moves off the button..does anyone know how i can acheive this...

I have MC masked with TEXT,when the user moves his mouse down more text appears from the bottom and when he moves it goes bakc to the original position...I do not want the mouse wheel .. I woudl like to do it by mouse hovering...

I am trying to learn about Custom Components at the moment. As a task I'm hoping to create a component that I can drop on my stage beside a couple of movieclips. Then using the component inspector I would like to set one clip as a button and the other as the response. So basically, when i click on the button, it reveals the other clip. Click and reveal!
I have a UIComponent that sits on top of a grid visually, which is also a UIComponent. The grid and the UIComponent that sits on top are on different branches. The gird has children which are Sprites. When the MousEvent.CLICK is dispatched it goes to the UIComponent on top. What I want it to do is go the element of the grid underneath. Is this possible?

so i create a global variable and it works well , my problem is how to set the contentpath with this value

I have a problem with a dynamic video player that I have created in flash. The video player is "SCORM" compliant so that when the user clicks the "exit" button a class file is called to mark the user complete in an LMS.I have tested the SCORM Code previously and it works with out issue. Usually I have the completion code embedded in an Actions Layer of the movie. This is the first time I have attempted to call the completion status in a class file, I have added a "trace statement" when the movie is tested within flash it runs the trace statement properly, but when uploaded to the LMS environment the course does not complete properly
i can only find info on this using AS3.i, however, am still using AS2.i need to create a button that a user can click to download an MP3.the only thing i could think to do was use a getURL, but when i do that, it opens the MP3 file and starts playing it in the browser. i need it to open a "Save As" dialogue, instead. I have a problem with the input text. I have a empty input text box on the frame one. Its name is "w". Then i m waiting for user input to that box. When the user input a text, i want him to click the button (called "manage_s") which will take him to the frame 2 and show the result of his input. (basically its quering the server).
I have set up a motion tween using the flash tween class to rotate an image 180 degrees. However, if I should want to work wit hthe image from that point (say click the button again and have it rotate another 180 degrees back to its original position) I can't. It will simply run the tween again because my function specifies to go from 0 to 180. How I can use the tween class to rotate this image 180 degrees on each button click?

I'm making a menu. It consist of three mc's (btn1, btn2 and btn3) and two squares The two squares rescale horizontal in different directions depending on the button that is presses. When the squares come to an hold there is a little gap between them underneath the button that was presses and the button is going 20 pixels down into that gap. Below is the code I have used:
When the movie starts everything is fine. First the two squares are rescaling. When that is done the buttons are fading in and finaly btn1 is going 20 pixels down in to the gap. But what I would like to accomplish now is that when btn2 is pressed that first btn1 is going back up again when that is done that the two squares are rescaling untill the gap is below btn2 and that after that btn 2 is going down 20 pixels.
And that is where I have problems. Point one when I don't know how to integrate a if (if used) in the button event, so everything is going to move at the same time(btn2 already moves before the squares are in place and the squares are already moving before btn1 is back up again) and secondly the way I have it now btn1 is indeed moving back up again, but after that its up it also going back down again.
There is a movie clip "card" created dynamically through the code. I have a class, and I instanced it and add it to the stage. I need to move the movie clip on the button click, so I created a motion tween and export it to the code. Then I wrote a function and asign it to the button through the event listener. But the movie clip doesn't move. The event fires, but nothing happens.

created the gallery and made thumbnails vertical everything works fine except my tween for the thumbnails. i need help disabling the hit_up and hit_down buttons for the amount of time the tween is going on so someone can't click on the button till the tween is finished.

I can't see anything wrong with the above. I intend to use the code for a CD ROM.abc.doc will sit on the CD ROM. When I click on the button, it opens a browser window and tries to go to google.com.I had it working the other day.
i have a tween that moves a progress bar along the x using scaleX but when the user presses a button i want the progress bar to scaleX -= 0.2 but when i do this it scales to taht size but immediatly jumps back to where it was in the tweener tween.
