I want to know how to change the default colors of a pie chart. I want the flex actionscript code not the mxml code. I have drawn the pie chart and populated it but have no idea how to change color.

The examples I've seen seem to show how to change the color that shows when the user actually hovers over the textinput field.
However when the validation fails, a generic textInput border qill have a red line over it. My CSS file uses a border skin for the textInput, so I can't see this line.
I was hoping there was a way to highlight the text box when it failed validation, or re-enable the red line feature. I don't want to get rid of my CSS cos it'll totally blow my color-scheme, but any tweak allowing the error line

I'm trying to prevent a default chart item roll over highlight in a Spark column chart.If you look at any of the chart examples on this page , when you roll over any of the chart series items, they turn a darkened shade of their original colour. This is what I want to prevent.
So far I have had no luck with using the itemRollOverColor property, as this only allows you to set it to one specific colour for the whole chart (my app has several different coloured series on the chart at once). Also, trying to leverage the itemRollOver event (with preventDefault() etc) hasn't worked either.
i'm doing a school project of mine and i am having trouble doing the changing color objects. here is an axample of the script that i;m using:

For this script it does change color, but how do i make it to stay the same color that user selected after going to another scene?
I am using a tilelist I want to change the border color and the background color of the tile on selection.

I want to let people change the color of tiles to what they want from a list of colors, so how can I let them change the color of a tile dinamicly with actionscript so that it changes a tile's color while preserving changes of "shadows"? I mean I have let's say a cube and to make it look 3D I need to change each face to make a feeling of 3D and not a flat one.
View 1 Repliesi have been doing this tutorial http:[url]..but i am stuck on PART 8, i have done everything the tutorial has said so far (although my image and the colors used are different) but the large blank box at the top of the color pallet isnt changing color when i click on any color from the pallet.
Also this tutorial doesnt say what version of flash and actionscript is best suited for this.Currently i am using CS4 & Action Script 2.0 but i don't know if this is correct. below there is a link to the fla. file that Coloring_Book.fla.
I have a few movie clips that change color when they are rolled over and rolled out of which is great and works correctly but now I have add glows to those buttons to serve as borders or a stroke and when you roll over the buttons the color and the filter color changes.

So i'm working on this website and I want to be able to switch out the entire color scheme on the website everytime a button is pressed, I've stepped away from flash for awhile and actionscript 3 is new me. Plus I haven't quite found any truely useful stuff on forums yet.
What i can't figure out is when a button is pressed the HTML background color changes to one of 5 preselected colors (that alternate ever time the button is pressed). Then for each background change the text changes too as it is part of a entire new color scheme.
What I've managed so far is to change the color of the background thats within the Flash file. What i did was to make a movie clip that plays to a next frame and stop everytime the button is pressed. Now i just need to also get to change the HTML color and the font colors.
//"homeText" being the name of dynamic text field and "Button" the name of the button and "background" being the movie clip that is the background within the flash file.

I have a button with an icon. I want to have the button in gray so I change the chromeColor but when I do that, the icon became darker.On the left the button without changing the color, on the right, the gray button with and darker icon.How can I have a gray button without changing the icon color?

1. shape (a rectangle gray color) converted to MC named = Bar
2. (on top of 1) DynamicText named = buttonText converted to MC named = buttText in order to change the color of the shape I decleard a veriable

but it also changed the color of the text so I added a veriable for the text field

this is bad becuse the text on the screen is unseen.
I am using FlashBuilder 4 and doing a simple application in flex. I am displaying a graph with 10 random values and based on the values I am trying to change the itemrenderer dynamically like CandlestickItemRenderer and BoxItemRenderer. Now my requirement was, if the values are > 10. I want to show my chart with CandlestickItemRenderer else i want to show the remaining spots as BoxItemRenderer. I am failing to do this. Either I am getting all the shapes as BoxItemRenderer or CandlestickItemRenderer. I am sending the code as a text file along with this.

And i can't simply save by ctrl+s because Flash (thats concrete program i am asking about) want to save in 5.5. So every time i have to push file-> save as-> change from 5.5 to 5.0. I was trying to find somewhere, where to change it, but i didnt manage to.

View 9 RepliesI've been pulling my hair out trying to figure this out. I've looked all over here and other websites and can't find the answer. Here's the situation: I have a movieClip that has an animation inside of it. When the movieClip is hovered over, it changes to the hand (indicating it's clickable). What I need to be able to do is change the hand back to the default cursor. Every single article I've read is about how to change your cursor to something else (using mouse.hide() and replacing it with an image), which is not what I want.

I'm using XP, and there is not enough difference in the color of a selected layer and one with extended keyframes that is not selected. At school I use a Mac and there is definitely a blue vs. a gray. On my computer, they are two very close shades of gray.
View 1 RepliesI have a situation where you have an object, lets say a dog. The artwork of the dog is black in color. In this case i know that the default color of the dog vector is 0x000000. However, lets say i have 30 different dogs of varying color. You can change the color of the dog at runtime, but when you reset, id like to return to the default color. Does anyone know how to do this or can hit me with a search term? Note that what i am after is finding the initial default color value and not the implementation as i can work it out for myself.

View 1 RepliesActually I am the application is for recoeding live stream. The recorded videos are placing in the folder named live_test as specififed above.But I want to change this path. There is a folder named public in the root directory. In the "public" folder we have a folder named Recorded_Videos, I need to place the recorded videos on this folder. How can I do this.Another issue that occurs while recording is NetStream.Record.noAccess. This is occuring while the recorded video is placing on client's flash media server with the path that i specified above. But when i running it in the local flash media server(developer version), its working well. The recorded files are placed on live_test folder. In the client's server the stream is not recording, instead its showing an error like "NetStream.Record.noAccess". The code that I am using for recording live stream is follows:

I'm using ColorTransform to fill in the colors for a few objects I have. Some of them with looping motion tweens. Whenever the motion loops, it resets the color to the default. Is there anyway to make the ColorTransform stick?
View 9 RepliesI was trying to get the COPY cursor using DragMananger and event.preventDefault()- but got a very weird cursor behavior (the items' drop indicator was wrongly presented - etc.) Therefor i am trying to stick to default - this works fine - but my cursor now on copy is a simple arrow, and i would like to get the arrow with the grin plus on it
