Aug 2, 2011I just upgraded out Flex project to use SDK version 4.5.1.21328 and the Flash Builder to version 4.5
All of the sudden, I'm getting several red tags on the Flash Builder: "could not resolve s:State/fx:Script/whatever to a component implementation"
However, the project builds fine with Maven, and seems to work well too.
Does anyone have any information on how to remove these "problems"?

The fact is that I still has the problem on Flex Builder, which is when I upload my application, it failed with "Application failed codesign verification"

Ios :: (iPad) Application On Flex / Flash Builder 4.5 - SplitView Component?
Sep 8, 2011I'm new to developing iOS applications and my school gave me approximately 5 months to develop an iPad application. I have no knowledge or practice on Objective C so since Flash Builder 4.5 allows the development of mobile applications (and I have experiences with Flash Builder), I decided to develop my application on Flash Builder instead.
Everything is going fine until I was told to include a SplitView in my application. I implemented a List on the left side of the application. Clicking on any of the list items will navigate the user to a to another view but i also included and retained the list on the left side of the new view in order to simulate a "SplitView".
Initially it felt as though it will do the job of a SplitView like how it does when I attempted it on XCODE but it doesn't look or feel natural. I found this video which shows that it is possible to create a SplitView on FB but I've cracked my brains and I really can't figure out how it is done.

Dec 20, 2010I am using Flash Builder 4 and need a VideoDisplay component that works with Cue Points. The newer version of theOSMF classes that Flex's VideoDisplay are based on handles this already. The idea is to roll my own VideoDisplay component rather than monkey patch the existing one. To do this, I have created a project with the newer version of the OSMF classes, and another project with which I would build the new VideoDisplay, in a separate package name.
The issue is that since the Flex 4.1 SDK contains the majority of the OSMF classes with their original package names, a statement such as import org.osmf.media.MediaPlayer; references the class located at

Nov 8, 2010when tried to build a AIR application for android using flex builder I did the following steps to do that .plz tell me where the error happened
1.Created Air application using flex builder that produced two type of files .swf and .xml files and cetification file
2.Created apk file from the above files using "Package assisstant pro"
3.then i installed AIR 2.5 run time in my emulator
4.after that i tried to install the apk file that Created from the 'package assisstant pro' then i tried to install the apk file by using command prompt then it show this error "INSTATTION FAILED INVALLID APK" .And also i cann't install other apk file (Sample air for android application apk file that downloaded from the site) that shows the same error,I succeed to install other application's(Say for printing hello world) apk file.[code]

I am using Flash builder 4.5, blazeds 4 and JBoss 6.I have created 'Dynamic Web' application in Eclipse, added blazeds related file in WEB-INF/lib and in WEB-INF/flex folder. I have deployed this web application in JBoss using Eclipse, so this application is getting deployed in war file.Then I tried to create new 'Flex Project' using flash builder 4.5 and I am stuck in 2nd step where we have to configure Root Folder, Root URL and Context Root.As my java web application is deployed in war, there's no folder to which I can set Root Folder.

Feb 7, 2011I have my main application, which contains several instances of a component that create a grid of photos belonging to a certain category. (the grids, and the photos are created dynamically with a loop).
I'd like to be able to click a photo to run a function that loads the large version of the photo into a separate element that is contained in the main application. So I created a Photo component in my main application, but how, using actionscript, do I change the 'currentphoto' variable in my main application from inside the tileview component?
Alternately I could put the function in the main application (probably more logical in the long run), but how would I call it from the child component?
Flex :: Flash Builder 4.5 The Import Could Not Be Found?
Jul 13, 2011I just upgraded from Flash Builder 4 to 4.5 and have imported one of my FB 4 projects.I am now seeing an orange question mark in the gutter next to all of my import statements that are importing local classes (as well as everywhere the said class methods are used) and an orange underline appears under the import statement.When I hover over the underline it says that the import could not be found.
The project compiles and runs without a problem (I use ANT to build this project).If I open one of the class files in question then change something (i.e press space bar) and hit save (EDIT: actually found I don't have to even save, just opening causes FB to find it) then go back to the file importing it the orange question mark is gone for that import, I get the code assist and CTL+Click links me to the class file. However, if I close that file and reopen it again cannot find the class file.The classes in question are stored under my project's src dir as:

Is this a FB 4.5 "enhancement"? I've tried deleting and re-importing the project, refreshing the project and am now kind of at a loss of what to do. It's annoying enough that I may need to downgrade to 4.

Oct 8, 2009I'm trying to import a web service with the Flex builder feature (Data > Import Web Service). The process proceeds as expected and the classes are generated based on the web service description. The code is generated with compile errors in it though.There are 20 errors of 2 varieties. I've included a sample of the errors below.It looks like an error in the auto gen. The auto gen code is trying to dispatch an object of ArrayCollection type. As far I know that isn't possible. rror examples:
