How should I code/setup a camera animation where the camera zooms in on an animation (just cubes) and when it reaches the appropriate view the animation starts?

I've got to do a project with with 3d so have turned to papervision. Basically, I have 5 planes that I want the camera to rotate around but only to a point. When the camera reaches an x value of either -1000 of 1000 the camera movement should stop and not go past that value (but obviously the other way).Also, I need to add a function to click one of the planes and it comes to the front and fills the stage (it's aspect ratio will be the same as the stage). The code I'm using the standard Lee Brimlow tutorial code:[code]So basically, the cameras movement is restricted to between -1000 and 1000 and you can click on the planes and zoom into them so they fill the screen.

I am working on flash application TELESCOPE or Camera. My goal is to move around the scene and zoom-in or zoom-out I found that if I move scene, I have to move registration point, because I always want to zoom in the centre of my ocular. So far application works fine only if I move, zoom-in and than before I move any further, zoom-out! But when I move, zoom-in (not fully), move again and zoom-in again, the second zooming doesn't appear on desirable registration point

I'm in the final stages of my Papervision project and I need to have the camera orbit around its target in an ellipse rather than a circle on a mouse drag. The tricky part is I already am using some complicated logic to get it easing as well and I need them to work together.

I want to make a scope wich can zoom in on button click and go back to previous stage (zoom out) also by clicking a button.Now i made it work for zooming in (when i click my button it zooms) but when i want to zoom out everything i tried didn't work .Here is the code:

I am trying to build a portfolio application similar to the used by Whitevoid. I am using Flex 4 and Papervision3D 2. I have everything working except for one issue. When I try to load an external SWF as a material on one of the planes, I can see any native Flex or Flash components in their correct positions, but the papervision objects are not being rendered properly. It looks like the viewport is not being set in the nested swf. I have posted my code for loading the swf below.

Below I have posted two pictures. The first is a shot of the application running by itself. The second is the application as a MovieMaterial on a Plane. You can see how the button created as a spark object in the mxml stays in the correct position, but papervision sphere (which is rotating) is in the wrong location.

I have successfully implemented the INTERACTIVE 3D Cube, but I can't seem to figure out how to create a rollover function properly, so that once the user rollovers a face, a title for the face fades in and when the user rolls out, the title fades out. I have done it by placing 6 movieclips on the stage and giving each face a rollover and rollover event, but once I rollover a face the title flickers.

I am capturing camera on flex for android using air 3.1,and found that the camera is only showing the a part of of actual camera video.When i view camera using normal camera application in android galaxy tab, it shows full camera area but when i am capturing the camera in flex its showing only the center area for it.I tried using setMode to set the resolution, but its not of any use.Is there any way to get full camera area captured inside flex using camera.getCamera ?

From a Flash object, I would like to be able to detect the presence of a webcam that the user might grant access to, without actually asking the user whether they want to grant access. This is to streamline a large application that has extra features if a webcam exists — if there is a webcam, the application will present several dialogs that lead up to the normal cam-security prompt, but if the user doesn't have the hardware, I want to skip over them altogether. Requesting access to the cam before those dialogs won't make sense to the user.
It appears not to be possible to call Camera.getCamera() without the security prompt happening. Is there a workaround? (For instance, could I, perhaps, call getCamera in a hidden Flash object and inspect its return value, or does it block until the user acknowledges the security prompt?)

I have a video capture device on a machine. I have written a windows application to capture the video from this device. While capturing, if i try to broadcast using flash it does not connect. If i'm already broadcasting and then try to capture then my windows application does not get the capture pin of the device. So, flash seems to be taking the capture pin. Is there anyway to broadcast using the preview pin on the device so that i can capture using my application. Or is there way where i can split the capture pin and give one to my app and one to the broadcaster

Been trying to get a flash map to zoom in and out but I can't seem to get it working, it'll zoom in fine, but not zoom out.I'm zooming into a particular area of a map (Uganda in this example) with a function for a button, I'm using a boolean value to check if I am zoomed in and it registers whether it's true or false (checking with a dynamic textbox). I came across this great tutorial on how to zoom into a chart by drawing a rectangle in a LineChart to zoom into it [uRL] but I'm trying to apply it to a PlotChart instead and I'm having issues trying to get the DataTips showing with the following error:

Has anyone tried applying the following to a PlotChart instead and got the DataTips to show? What was the override function in the findDataPoints()?

i've made a button that zooms into a movie clip on a rollover, but it on moves it a certain amount each time you rollover the button. code below:

wot i want it to do is to continue zooming in for as long as the mouse is over the button, is there anyway i can change the code to zoom in at the same amount but do it continuously until the mouse is moved off the button. Also is there anyway that i can set it so that the zoom stops at a certain percentage, i.e. it only zooms in so much and then stops. What i mean is that the user can zoom in but the picture will only zoom in to say 200% of the original size.

Im trying to add flames while my spaceship is flying. When forward button is pressed the flame appears from the center of the ship and when the right or left button is pressed the flame appears from the right or left side of the ship, I tried to use gotoAndStop, but it only shows frame by the last pressed button, if I press two keys at same time I see only one flame. What should I do to see two frames at the same time?

Using flex / air 2.6 working on an Android device, I am using a canvas with a TransformGestureEvent for zoom in on a map. The listening of the efect is working ok, but I can´t seem to find the information on wether the user intended zoom in or zoom out (fingers getting closer or getting apart).I expected the intention of the gesture to be identifiable with the offsetX and offsetY properties of the event, as you will do on a swipe gesture event. But I always get 0 for both properties, no matter how I do the gesture in the device.How can I know if the fingers getting closer or getting apart in a gesture zoom event?

trying to color objects that are flying around in my space game.When I shoot and hit them - the affected enemies shall blink. The graphics are pre-rendered (i.e. there's an rotation array and function where the degrees and their appropriate rotation for the objects are stored / calculated for better performance).
So - my idea was to enhance that rotation function with a functionality for additional coloring; but the colored AND rotated objects shall be stored apart of the normal rotated objects. To accomplish this I made a nested array:in row one there are 360 rotated graphics of one object and in row two there are 360 graphics of a rotated and colored object.
Problem: Coloring works but they are not rotated (always at 0 degrees).

When I implement the hitTest all the objects stop flying. Is it becaus too much is happening and the CPU has to think - I don't think so - my game is so basic. By the way, somewhere along the line I will use loops and arrays but at the moment I know what's going on in my code.

I got an object (called tempEnemy) which is flying around and shooting. The problem is that I can't keep the value tempEnemy.rotateTo positive, i.e. It shall be between 0 and 359 degrees. Currently rotateTo ranges from:
