ActionScript 3.0 :: Possible To Copy Pixels Or Handle Image From URL?

Aug 9, 2010

Any way to copy the pixels or handle the image from URL "[URL]" in Flash? It will work fine in FLASH IDE but when I look this in browser, then it crashed. I know that its crossdomain Issue. I always get childAllowParent=false after loading. It always crashed when I want to get event.target.content or
addMC.getChildByName(mcName);
I am loading this image from Google Image search API in Flash CS3 Professional and AS3.

Actionscript 3 :: BitmapData Copy Pixels Half Pixel?

Feb 17, 2012

Having trouble trying to scroll BitmapData on a half pixel here is my original code

var speed:Number = 1;
_bitmapData.copyPixels(_backgroundParallax, _screenRect, _zeroPoint, null, null, true);
_backgroundParallax.copyPixels(_backgroundParallax, new Rectangle(0, 0, speed, _backgroundParallax.height), new Point(_backgroundParallax.width-speed,0), null, null, false);
_backgroundParallax.scroll( (speed*-1) , 0);

which works until i change the var speed to .5, which is because .scroll method is expecting int's so i replicated what scroll is doing to try and allow .5 pixels

IDE :: CS5 - Importing The .png Image The Pixels?

Aug 26, 2011

I imported and .png (bitmap) and converted it to symbol however when I place it on stage and look at it the corners (marker with red, edit: basically all the corners are somewhat incorrect) appear somewhat ugly, however when I zoom in to 200% I see that everything is correct. I'm also sure that when importing the .png image the pixels were correct. Why is it so and how to fix it?

Actionscript 3 :: Change Pixels In An Image?

I actually try to do the following: I have loaded an external image in a bitmapdata object and create a bitmap from it which i attach it to a sprite/MovieClip in order to have mouse events on it. Now under the previous logic i loaded two images (let's say circles) of the same size one that has a particular color and is covered by its black foreground circle. When i press left mouse button and hold it down i want while the mouse is moved to erase the foreground circle's pixels and so the background image starting to appear.[code]...

ActionScript 2.0 :: Slider Bars And Scaling - Code Keeps Shrinking Initial Object Down To 10 Pixels By 10 Pixels?

Jun 17, 2009

I have a swf file that loads into my main movie, and within that swf there is a masked image that i would like to scale using zoom in and out buttons and also by using a slider bar.However i cant find any tutorials that will allow me to combine the two.I have used the following code for the buttons. Which seems to work ok but i would like it to be a little smoother. (using speed or some sort of easing??)

ActionScript Code:
zoomPlus.onRelease = function(zoomIn) {
if (test_shirt.shirt._xscale == 400 && test_shirt.shirt._yscale == 400) {[code]....

but for this code it keeps shrinking my initial object down to 10 pixels by 10 pixels..

Flash :: Trim Away The Transparent Pixels Of The Image?

Nov 16, 2011

I have a Flash fla file that contains a whole lot of images. The majority of each image is composed of transparent pixels with a visual object in there somewhere. Each image at the moment is at {x:0, y:0}.I want to trim away the transparent pixels of the image down to a minimum bounding box, but keep the object at the same global position. This requires shifting the trimmed image to the global position of the object in the untrimmed image.This is not so much a problem, but the fact that the images are all contained in a fla is the problem. The options I see at the moment are:

investigate JSFL, the Bitmap object has a getPixels, this in combination with a selection and delete operation could work save the fla to xfl and enumerate the images and associated xml with something like Ruby + image processing lib

Questions: Does anyone know upfront if this operation is possible in JSFL? Have anyone done much automated processing of xfl files? Is there an off the shelf image processor that can perform this trimming operation?

Though I've completed the tutorial, and customised the gallery to my own needs, however I'm trying to make a very small change to it - and no matter what I do, keep running into problems. I'm trying to replace the rectangular handle with my own customised handle - a (20 x 20) 'circular' png image that I've imported into Flash, made a graphic and stored in the library (though I understand it can be imported using actionscript, like the other images in the gallery).

ActionScript 2.0 :: CS3 When User Drags The Handle The Masked Image Moves As Well

Jan 21, 2010

I am building a sliding image movie. It takes two photos and compares them by using "startDrag" to slide a "setMask" MC horizontally to reveal one photo under another. The idea here is to compare two photos taken 50 years apart.

[Code]....

As you can see I have two MCs here one is a mask and the other is a handle of sort. They work fine separately but I would like to have the two function in unison or as one MC. The handle MC is just that a handle that appears on the left edge of the masked image. So when user drags the handle the masked image moves as well. (or vice versa)

ActionScript 2.0 :: Fade Script Image Gallery Can Only Handle 10 Pictures?

Jul 9, 2005

I'm doing my daily homework at Flashkit, in order to see how other people do certain thint was just the other day when I downloaded the "Fade script image gallery" by Ben Durman, when I stepped into an unsusual? behaviour that I can't get to understand.It's very simple, in the gallery there are 10 pictures. Everytime you click in one number, the previous image fades out and the new image fades in. The AS code is very simple and easy to understand. However, why I can't possibly understand is that when I create a new layer with another image, the whole movie starts to statter, transitions are not smooth any longer and some transitions are not even properly executed. The more layers/pictures I add, the worse it all gets (15 pics is almost impossible to handle)Part of the original code which makes transition between pictures happen is this:

[AS]
onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
// find alpha of new pic

ActionScript 3.0 :: Copy An Image / Sprite / DisplayObject

I load an png image and add it to the display list. Now I want to add this image more than once, like a pinball game there could be 3,4,5 balls, all with the same image. But I cant add the same image reference more than once to the display list, right? So should I make a copy of it? How can I copy it and add to the display list without needing to load it from file more than once?

I tried using this: [URL] But didnt worked! I use the class Loader to load an png, and I use the Loader.content as a parameter of that function. When I add the result to the displaylist nothing appears!
