have one Movieclip which contains one shape. I want to increase my Movieclip size dynamically. I increased my Movieclip size but it affects my movieclip effects.So i want to increase my shape size which is there inside movieclip..
View 3 RepliesI would like to edit the shape that the bone structure is manipulating and i can't for the life of me figure out how. Double clicking does nothing, right clicking offers no useful menu to get into my shape and edit. Looking back I wonder if I should have turned my shape into a movie clip before adding the bones? But Flash didn't stop me and I assumed I could go back and edit later on.

After they fill in a form, they will have the option of saving or printing a PDF that is based on there information.I am trying to find a way of editing the content of the PDF in Flash, so when the user fills out the form, the application will fill in the PDF with there details from the form fields. Is this is possible?It would be great if there was some way of having template PDFs (either on the CD as there own files, or in a Flash library), then flash could come along and fill in the specific fields inside the PDF.

I don't know if i'm in the right category here.I have a line in the center of the screen, and i want it to bend. i guess i have to use vector operations? (I mean, what Illustrator uses. visuals, with vectors instead of pixels). I want to be able to set points, so that the line bends towards that point. And the color under the line should be different than the color above the line. Does anyone know how to get started on something like this?
View 1 Repliesdrawing out line that will serve as a mask im tryin to animate a drawing out of a line, but the line wont be an animation itself, itll be used as a mask that will reveal outline of a rectangle i'm starting right now and im on this stage so far, the problem is i dont understand why this line is not drawing out horizontally, while it should variables xpos and ypos are coordinates of the position i want to start drawing it from, xcor and ycor are the cooridnates that will be used to stop drawing once it reaches this point, then jump is how fast i want the line to draw(amount of pixels) ps:the type is there because i will also make another case for vertical line.

Imagine you have a chessboard type setup, made of separate squares. Each square is clickable, therefore, it can change colour, something can happen etc.... what I need is to be able to create a new sprite / movieclip / shape, that will appear over the square I have just clicked. If you click the next sqaure, this new movieclip / shape will change colour and cover the two sqaures I just clicked.
To summarise, this new shape is created whenever a square is clicked. The shape gets bigger and covers which ever square is clicked. Think of something like a slime-monster getting bigger and covering the squares which are clicked.
i have a class that creates circles randomly placed at stage, i want then to move those circles and make them bounce off the stage, i know how to do that, the problem is that when i add a new shape into my stage, that shape, has an "x" value of 0, no matter where it appears, how can i check the real "x" value of that shape within the stage, so i can continue with the bouncing check...

Today I had a job interview and they said they're looking for someone who can develop any web design into a Flash CMS with a back-end office for the client to edit the content without having to edit the FLA file or any code.
Accordingly, I'd like to know where and how to start. What are the main concepts I should follow/adapt?

I just got adobe flash cs3 and opened up a .fla header in which I like to change the text. I bought a template from someone with test in the flash and I'm trying to edit the words with no luck. I've tried double clicking on it and it brings up a square around the text but I'm not able to change it.

However I have hit a snag, it looks like part of the flash website design is controlled by bitmap images therefore I concluded those images were under the sources within the PSD folder. I tried creating a PNG file and double clicking the relevant bitmap and then updating it with the new file. However after I perform a publish preview the the change made no impact to the design.

How do you edit a .swf header? I can open it and it comes up but I do not see any options on how to change the existing words in it.
