ActionScript 3.0 :: Replicating Website Without Flash?

The current one is totally in flash AS3. I want to keep the first animation of the Menu as-it-is...but once any of the menu item is clicked i want it to roll-back like what it is doing currently , and then show the clicked page ....and this page shouldn't be in flash but the layout / functionality etc should be same.Or in other words, i want to keep the functionality exactly same as the one now but change everything else to no-flash , except the menu(including its animation) which will in flash .If you see on the top of every page we have "Back to Main Menu" and i also want to keep that.Clicking which should not refresh the page but would bring in the animated menu.

I have a client and he wants a flash presentation where variables will be stored in a txt file. In the file it will state how many box's (movie clips) he wants and according to that number, that's how many box's will be replicated. I need the box's to auto size and arrange depending on how many box's there are. If there are 4 box's then there would be two rows of two and so on, It's ok to have odd numbered rows.

I want to replicate the standard startDrag/stopDrag events with my own routine to alter things a bit, and I run into some kind of event propagation or bubbling problem. Here is my code:

The problem with this code is that as you drag the object to the right, you will see in the trace that occasionally some random localX values arrive there, resulting in the object jerking from side to side.

Is there a way to create a replicating a display object on runtime, so it imitates all the actions done on the original, or do I have to perform every action I'm doing on the original, on the replica as well? I thought maybe there's a way by making a Bitmap object out of the original and updating it each time, but I don't have lots of experience using these kinds of methods.

I can duplicate movies no problem on stage, and drag around. I then want to be able to drag any of them into the virtual "trashcan" mc, and unload just that replicated mc, leaving the others.
ie, I duplicate the "box" 4 times. I decide I want only 3, therefore i drag one into the "trashcan".

am i publishing the movie incorrectly? It works great when I preview the flash file (cntrl+enter), but after I publish it and insert it into the html (in dreamweaver), the file shows up and animates perfectly, but when clicked, no link... It doesn't do anything

I am new to flash and trying to make a simple flash website video intro in Flash CS5 Pro.I have a flv viedo on the stage, under an image with a trasnparent center.I have the video on the bottom layer, the overlay image on the middle layer, and the top layer is my AS layer (AS3).
The video is currently autoplaying when i export.All i want is for it to open my website in the same window as the intro played when the video ends.I dont need a "skip intro button" or anything.I just want it to play the intro when you go to my site, and then bring up the index page of my site after it plays.

I wanted to create a simple flash contact form for my flash website. I went through Lee's tutorial on how to create the contact form and PHP file to go with it. I've uploaded everything to my server and tested the form. My flash form consists of Name, Subject, Message, and Email fields. When I receive the email all that comes through is this with none of the actual message that was written IN the contact form:
Name: Subject: Message: Email: The 'From' field is also blank. I don't know if my problem is with flash, my PHP code, or with my server. Can someone take a look at this and tell me what's wrong? I can't seem to find any errors from Lee's tutorial with my code or labeling.

AS2, + CS4 Flash I am trying to develop a 'Nearest Store Locator' in flash for part of my website. I'm setting up a website and im using flash as a menu, but my problem is when I click on a button to go to a new page it redownloads the flash files, not just the menu but also my flash banner.
This only happens the very 1st time i click on the menu but its still very annoying having to wait for it to redownload again when it should already be there saved.
The problem does not happen if I use the html links on the page just the geturl links from flash.

So I have a Flash CS3 based website and I am trying to add in a Flash Gallery.I designed the Flash Gallery as a seperate file and tried to copy the library items into my site file. I got it in, looked ok but when I ran the test it goes crazy and I get 7 actionsript

I m trying to upload my website from Flash CS5.5 and I m getting following "error" on the web site : "Für diese Seite ist Flash Player Version 10.2.0 oder höher erforderlich " (For this Site only Flash Player Version 10.2.0 or higher is needed). I set up Action Script 3 and Flash Player 10 and 10.1. (hashed Flash Player recognize) in HTML settings.

I wondered if anyone knew a workaround or trick that I could use to get text into google. I have a couple ideas but they're just ideas.
I would like to create an alternate page that is not flash, but a regular html page with all of the text I want google to read inside it. Somehow I use code to tell it that when a user clicks on the link, to redirect them to the flash webpage, but when a search engine sees it, to send the search engine/google to that regular html page, where it will gather all of the text and then that text will show up on google's page when you do a search and my site on google? Even if this was possible, would google frown upon this and ban me or something?
The other idea I have is to use invisible text at the bottom of my page. This will be regular html text that is the same color as my background. But I heard this can get you banned from search engines like google if you are using lots of keywords, but I wouldn't be using keywords. I'd be using the few sentences of content that their stupid crappy technology doesn't read, forcing me to bust my hump trying to find a workaround for. It sucks that google doesn't even use keywords in my metadata for rankings either. So I can't even use that with them.

I am using flash website template and editing with Flash CS4 and Dreamweaver. There are subwindows that open when clicking on menu buttons that have dynamic text elements. I am trying to change the text in these windows.I changed the names of the menu items that open these windows but the dynamic text is still displaying the old menu names as well as a numbering system(I.E. Services #1, Services#2, etc..) . I've looked through the content.xml, index.html, and of course the main.fla, How do I change the text displayed in these dynamic text elements?

i'm wanting to create a flash animation and embed it into my website.i used to do this with a gif image within a DIV and make the position of the DIV vary via javascript so that the image moved across the screen. i'm looking now for a more professional touch via Flash.
A gif's background is transparent so as it moves over differen't areas of the webpage it shows not the bounding rectangle but
only the character image itself. Is this possible via flash - or will flash always be a boxed image that is moved?

I was wondering if there is a way for me to build a dropdown menu in flash, and somehow integrate it with a nonflash website. For further explanation on what I am trying to accomplish...I was going to code a fully custom dropdown menu / button in flash, however for this to work the website would need to have a giant blank space where the flash meny would roll-down at. I am wondering if there is a way to get around this.

what im trying to do is make an interactive webssite 100% out of flash.on one of the pages in that website i would like to have one of my custom youtube players that youtube lets you make and gives you an embed code for.problem is that it is an HTML embed code.ive tried everything to get this to work and the best i could do was get the player to work in an independant .swf file but whenever i try to incorporate it into a page in my website and load it in a browser i get a security error saying that i cant let flash access youtube and i have tried everyway on google to get around that with no luck.

I have a site at the mo with a banner in flash but i know that there are sites out there that use flash more in depth. ive seen pretty much whole sites done with flash before but have no idea how to do it! I could get something interatctive with buttons etc in flash cs3 but would have no idea how to display it all in a webpage, create a link from flash to the html or whatever so when a button was clicked it'd take the user to a different page...etc

I have been designing a website for a client entirely on flash 8 and I am almost ready to hook it up with an actual host, right now it's just set up on yola, which is a free host so that my client can see all the changes i've made, to the design and information. But I tried to view the website on Internet Explorer and it doesn't work at all. It just shows that square circle and triangle in the top left hand corner. How can I fix this before I set it up perminatley?
