ActionScript 3.0 :: SWF Have A Default Position After Loading?

Sep 16, 2009

I've got this API loading on every page of the website. Can .SWF tell itself when it has loaded and thereby default to a loaded position? So that when a user moves to different web pages, the API defaults to its loaded point? NOT from scratch? [URL]...All the blurs and fade-ins are Methods that respond to a bunch of Timer Events. Once the .SWF is loaded how can it DEFAULT to its loaded point when a user changes web pages?

I know there would be a Javascript solution but is there an AS3 solution?

ActionScript 3.0 :: Default FLVPlayback - Loading Or Buffering

Sep 17, 2009

Take a look (click on one of the right banners): [URL] The lightbox should almost immediately play the videos, but instead (only) with ie7, the video take a really long time to start. All 3 videos. But only the first time I play them. So, I suppose there's maybe some loading or buffering problem that occurs only with ie7. The swf files are simple default FLVPlayback pointing to a .flv in the server. Any way to optimize the playback so that will start soon in all browsers?

ActionScript 2.0 :: "default Position" For Dragging MC?

i'm making a drag-drop "quiz" (not much of one yet..)

If i click/release the mouse anywhere on the scene when the movie first loads, the circle_MC moves to 0,0 - i assume because myFinalX and Y are defaulting to 0 until doing something changes them.

How can i set this "default" to 50,50 but only when it first loads? (so it can be changed later without reverting back)

here's my (terrible!) code:

circle_mc.onMouseDown=function(){

ActionScript 2.0 :: Photo Gallery - Pictures Are Not Loading When Open Default.swf And Then Navigating To The Section Work

Feb 19, 2007

I want to say that the code I am working with is the same found here: [URL] The code is working perfectly (pictures are displaying) when opening the file, work_diesel.swf by itself. However, my problems occur when I open default.swf, and then navigating to the section work. From there I hit advertising, and in that section DIESEL. HERE is where the problem is visible. The pictures are not loading AT ALL when doing it this way (the correct and final way).

I am just wondering if anyone can pin point the problem for me so I can change it. It must be said that the work_diesel.swf is loading from an external source into default.swf.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Externally Loading SWF Into Position On A Single Movie Clip?

Jan 3, 2008

I realize that title sounds a little confusing, but what I am trying to do is copy this style of site[url].... I have created all of the swf's for the main index of the site, but am way out of my league on how to load them into a certain position in a single movie clip so that a drag bar can slide the movie clip left and right. I have read a few posts on external loading, but am not really sure on how to implement them to achieve this look.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Loading SWFs Into Scenes - Controlling Position On Screen

Dec 4, 2002

I have several buttons, that link to several scenes, containing swf files. Using the loadmovie command I can get these swf's playing on-screen. That's good.

-How can I control where they appear on my document (I'd guess these require some x or y values, but not sure how this is done) as they all appear in the top left-hand corner.
- When I mouse over another button (link to scene/swf) how can I remove the previous swf from the page, then load the new swf -as they all appear in the same spot/all over each other? Is this an unload movie command?

I was hoping to counter this problem by using different scenes (no luck there) and all I really need to do is remove the previously loaded swf, when the new one is loaded.

Actionscript 3.0 :: Setting "Z" Or Layer Position When Loading External Swf?

Oct 31, 2008

I've been using the loader class to import external swf files when I need them. I can position them on the screen where I need them using the:

loader_var.x
and
loader_var.y properties

However something that seems to stump me is how to position the loaded content below other content in the movie. I tried making the layer where I was actually calling my external file below the other layers and yet when I export the Flash movie the clip that I'm importing at run time always ends up on top of every thing. Is there a way to specify which objects imported media comes in above or below?

ActionScript 3.0 :: Fluid Layout Stop Changing Resize Position When Movieclip Is At Certain Position?

Nov 19, 2009

I added a Menu_mc on my stage. Initially, this should be at the center of the stage and when I click on it, it will tween on the upper left corner of the browser. However, when I resize the browser, the Menu_mc goes back to the center of the screen.

I have tried separating a different actionscript file where it is specifically for initialization of the object and another one for resizing. And then when I call it on my main AS file it goes like this:

Code:
// Add the symbols to stage
var Menu_mc = new Menu_MC();
addChild(Menu_mc);

[code]...

But it seems futile.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Move The Vertical ScrollBar Position Of The ScrollPane To Top/initial Position

Jun 30, 2009

I am using a ScrollPane in my application(viz., instance name is: myScrollPane). When I view the contents of the ScrollPane, it shows them perfectly. My issue is: When I try to view data present inside the ScrollPane, if I move the Vertical-ScrollBar of the ScrollPane to middle(or somewhere from top to down) and then click on Submit button(viz., instance name is: submit_btn), then its Vertical ScrollPosition must be reset from middle(or any position where we leave it before) to top(or initial position). Hence, I need to move the Vertical ScrollPosition of ScrollPane to top (or) initial position. Everytime, I need to refresh the VerticalScrollBar Position when I click on the submit button. How to do it?

ActionScript 3.0 :: Changing Y Position Results In Random Position

Nov 8, 2010

I've run into a new problem, this time with positioning. I've narrowed down the line that's causing it--"block.y = block.y + block.height;" in SetOfBlocks.shiftDown. When I take it out, no problem. But with it in, instead of just dropping each block down by a block height, the affected blocks sometimes move up, and also often move about randomly within the X axis--although their new positions always keep them lined up with the 'grid', which is to say, within multiples of the block height and widths.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Z Position Impact On Stage Position?

Jan 13, 2011

I have a sprite that I zoom out using the sprite.z property. Once the z property has been modified the sprite x and Y values do not match the stage x and y real value. So far so good and what I was expecting!

What I want to accomplish is that when the user clicks the stage the sprite tweens to where the mouse was clicked but I don't know what x and y position to send to the sprite. ( since stage 200,200 is something like 400,400 for the sprite depending on z value)

I tried Utils3D.projectVector using Matrix3D of the perspectiveProjection of the stage without success. (i.e. I get Vector3D(Infinity, Infinity, NaN))

I could fallback to scalex/scaley but sprites.z gives me the correct scale, perspective projection, paralax scrolling since I have sprites on different z level all for free. I would have to recode all that.
