ActionScript 2.0 :: MovieClipLoader Class - Play A Movieclip In The Loading Position?

Does anyone know how to use the Loader method of this class? I want to play a movieclip in the loading position rather than a textbar which increases... All of the examples I've seen so far only show the latter of the two options... I can use loadMovie() and achieve what I want, but the MovieClipLoader class is the future.

I am having a problem positioning an external swf file within another swf. I need this to appear at an exact location and to do this I have created a new movie component 'holder', made it the exact dimension of the swf I want to import and placed it where I want it to appear. when i was trying to build in the banner images i bumoped into weird problems. At first my cs4 for pc stoppped working everytime so backup to cs3 this also stopped working everytime so i went working through guest account which seems to work ok.ok back to the other problem. on this link you can see the website there is loading an image in the banner by an movieClipLoader this why i can adjust the image size when it's done loading. I want to make everything sizeable. when the site loads for the first time the image won't show, but when refreshing the site, suddenly the image does show.testing this all local works. But online not! so i tried testing local retrieving the images from the web. i got this sandbox error. oke added system.security.allowdomain("*") for the wildcard, really weird cause it's just an image (bitmap) which is called.[code]

I'm trying use the MovieClipLoader class to load up a swf and have it start at a particular frame. Such as:

The Bold underline text is where I would imagine most of the magic happens. How Would I place the MovieClipLoader into this and have that swf go play that particular frame label?

I'm in a hurry and need big help quick
1 - I'm using AS2 and know my way around it well
2 - I'm loading an external SWF using MovieclipLoader
3 - The external SWF has a MP3 file in it's library (exported for actionscript) and is attached to a Sound Object.
4 - Running the SWF by itself, everything is fine, but once it's loaded in my main movie, it won't play, no sound,

I am using the MovieClipLoader class to externally load a .swf file with a preloader. The problem is that my .swf starts playnig behind the preloader, before it is completely loaded...
How can I make it paly only after it is 100% loaded?

I have a 20 frame MovieClip in the library with a Class attached to it. There is nothing in the Class except the usual stuff pertaining to MovieClips with a Class (import display.movieClip and so on). The first frame in the movieClip timeline is a stop() command. I only want the clip to play sometimes. So in the main document timeline, I add the clip from the library as such:

But with this instance, I also want it to begin playing. However the following is not working:

But, if I delay things a bit it DOES work - like this:

Why delaying the play command works, but telling it to play on instantiating doesn't?

I am going out of my mind trying to get this to work. I can do it in AS2 without a hitch - but not AS3. I just need to load an external swf file into an empty movieclip. Then I have 2 buttons play and pause that need to be on the top layer of the new movie and they need to play and pause the loaded swf file. I have tried a number of things and nothing is working.

I have a problem with loading an image path reference into a movieClip.On my movie loading I attachMovie according to i (no. of instances)Then I generate a copy of the instances (these are prepared ready for print - I have this working)
However, the initial creation of these instances is handled when the Flash movie loads and uses part of the code below to generate thumbnails:
myScroll.content.attachMovie("fav_content", "Stadium"+i, i);
var imgPath = mySharedObject.data["img"+i];
myScroll.content["Stadium" + i].imageLocation = imgPath;

The class is called multiple times once then when triggered in a duplicate movieclip but fails somehow - maybe the clue is duplicate tho tried that (duplicateMovieClip..)

I need to make a preloader for a test project that is very diffirent and a little bit off-beat as it uses script that I have prostetuted from a variety of diffirent files, see might take a while to load as it has no preloader and please note how it does load...), it scrolls the actual content of the site along the x axis in multiple speeds by using the following script 4 times for each layer/speed of content:[code]The actual files they are pulling are massive in file size and there fore I need to make a preloader that can cach all the content and then start to display the actual 'content/sliders' I dont even have an idea what kind of loader to use for something like this as I have already tried adding a little loading function (what the "clip1" "clip2" etc...) either I am making this to big of an issue and there is a realy simple way of doing this or there is none that will do what I require? does anyone know of a way for me to pre load everything with one preloader simotaniously?URL...

I have a small problem using MovieClipLoader to load multiple images at the same time. This is the function for loading:

This function is triggered in a for cycle for 4-9 images.The problem is - some of the images don't get fully loaded. It is usually 1 or 2 at most. Some of them don't show at all and some load partially (let's say I see 60% of the image and underneath a gray line). Is there some restriction for multiple connections in Flash? Are the requests made too fast?This problem does not occur in Flash environment, it occurs only online. The listeners execute alright even for the not loaded images. No load error at all.

I can't seem to get a MovieClip loaded using the MovieClipLoader.loadClip method to cancel.I try calling the loader's unloadClip method, but that does not do the trick. Also tried simply using the unloadMovie method on the actual clip instance but that didn't work

I'm writing an AS2.0 component that extends the UIComponent and I have the following movieClipLoader defined in the init() function:

The really strange part is that even though I get this error at compile time, the actual event handling functions (ex. loadProgressRoutine) actually run when they're supposed to. So even though Flash is complaining about the properties in the MovieClipLoader not existing, it uses them when it has to...
"why is Flash complaining" and "how do I make Flash *stop* complaining?"

I'm having a fun little bug with the loadClip function of the MovieClipLoader class. I've passed it a valid MovieClip and a valid filename (verified by traces) and it still returns false. It never calls the listener object I created with a onLoadStart or onLoadError event.

I created a MovieClipLoader a few days ago that is reuseable. I will be using the same preloader graphics when I am loading in external swf on my stage. My MovieClipLoader functions fine with jpegs and smaller sized swf files. But whenever I load a larger sizes swf it loads the movie before it has fully downloaded in simulation mode. The odd part is that everything works fine with smaller swf files but not larger ones . I have tested a few movies and that seems to be the common theme.
In the example below main.swf is the clip I am loading into "mcBackground".

I'm loading multiple instances of the same jpg dynamically to my swf. It works just fine locally, but when I upload it, it only executes the first loading code it encounters in the timeline. I was doing things fairly complexly with 'for' loops and dynamic name generation and stuff, but I've stripped it down to the basics in an effort to get this to work.
Here's some code:
loadMovie('1.jpg', mc1.empty_mc);
loadMovie('1.jpg', mc2.empty_mc);
mcLoader.loadClip('1.jpg', mc3.empty_mc);
mcLoader.loadClip('1.jpg', mc4.empty_mc);
mcLoader.loadClip('1.jpg', mc5.empty_mc);
as you can see, I'm using two different methods of loading the jpgs, just in an effort to pin down exactly what is going on. Locally, they all load fine. When I upload to the server, only the first instance of the loading code is run (so mc1 will get its jpg, but the rest won't). I've tried to swap the order, place the loading code in different areas, try to load different jpgs into each empty mc, but nothing works except that first instance flash gets to in the timeline.
The swf and jpgs are all in the same folder, both locally and on the server. The server the swf is hosted on is Windows 2003 box if that matters. I tried uploading it to a different windows box and got the same problem.

I'm trying to load a bitmap using this: [URL]. It seems like the preload is working fine. I'm just having trouble loading the bitmap from here. it works without the preloader but I can't figure out what's not making it load when it's done.

I noticed after the load is complete, I traced the width for targetMC, which is where the image should be preloaded..and it comes up as 0. So it seems like there's nothing in the holder_img container. But it preloads something so I don't know what the problem is.
Also: 'id' from the function is just the image (images/1.jpg)

I'm loading a few external swf's into my file at runtime using load().Once each one is loaded I run a function on it to search through it's children.I use code similar to below to iterate through all the children and check if the name contains a particular string and then perform a function on it.
