I'm trying to send about 1 MB of binary data to server via URLLoader. But when I call method load of this class, my application hangs for about 1-1.5 seconds, then uploading runs normally. How can I prevent it?

2 - SWF cant load policy XML file from url, cause upload form allows me only to upload swf files, so I cant include any other data.
I tried:
Security.allowDomain("*");
But it works only for SWF files.I tried to embed policy XML file:

This will make an security error, if file is from different domain than SWF file.Its possible to get binary data from JavaScript using ExternatInterface in AS3 code.Here is cross-browser library for reading files binary: binary reader and later version jDataView.
I have a URLLoader which normally requesting the data to be in Text format, anyway on a specific conditions it might gets a Binary as result, which is actually just 1 integer number in binary format. Anyway the conversation :

I originally tried to capture, encode and upload the audio using Silverlight, but because of the lack of suitable client-side encoding options, I'm now giving Flash a shot (Flash has baked-in support for encoding to Speex).I think I've figured out how to capture and encode the audio... But now what was easy in Silverlight, is the challenge in Flash.My server-side is .NET: MVC2-I'm open to receiving the audio in whatever manner is best- REST, WCF..So that's my question: How could one upload binary data from Flash, to a .NET server-side endpoint

View 2 RepliesMy rtmp client connects to the server ok and rtmp data flowing ok for about 4hours, in the wireshark trace I can see that the server just stops sending data roughly after 4hours. The server version is 3.5.1, and I also try it on a 4.0 server the data stops coming from the server as well after 5+hours. There are no errors or any indication of session disconneciton in the diagnostic logs. I have also looked thru the settings in applicaiton.xml and server.xml I just don't see any obviious reason for the issue. I do send rtmp Acknowledgement to server after the client receives "window size" bytes, and the client sends ping response to server.

The problem is - $GLOBALS["HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA"] is not set. I'm just not receiving any jpg data. But $_POST has 200 indexes. I know that it sends correct bitmapData, because I tried adding it to stage and it worked. And I know, that the request is reaching the server, because I get the right response. But I don't know, what the problem is. Maybe there is any other approach at the php side?

I am in the process of creating a flash site for friend of mine. He wants to be able to have a guest list for his events in DC. I have created form boxes and have given them all "instance names". But I have absoultely NO clue how to have the text entered by people trying to get on the guest list sent to my server so we can all read it.
I have a book on Flash but it really doest explain how to do it at all. I'm guessing I need to do some actionscript?

I am logging anything that the outside server receives at $_REQUEST, $_POST, $_GET. I can see that my server-side app is reaching out to the external server, but the data is always blank.
Im need to send some data between 2 Flash clients. I have an issue whereby there is a probability that there could be firewall issues with communicating over port 1935 or 443 know you can use RTMPT to tunnel video over port 80 but im not sure about sending data objects.

It does not however tell me how to take the compiled information I imputed, send it to an asp scripting page which sends that information to a database and at the same time send the seller of the product an email stating that someone has registered for their product.

am having this problem of sending XML request to an addresswhich starts with "https". The problem is I always get the errormessage "Error opening URL "https:......."", instead of the actualresponse which should be in XML format as well.The function I am using is "sendAndLoad()"requestXML and responseXML are objects of XML class . View 2 RepliesI am writing a simple Tcp server in Unity and have my Flash application connects to it.I found a great tutorial on threaded Tcp server online, and my flash app connects to it nicely. However, I am not able to send data outside of the listening thread to the connected client. I tried to create a global reference of the Tcpclient obtained inside of the thread. However, that reference (sclient) only works inside of the listening thread, printed Null to console outside of the thread. There must be something I can do to retain the TCP client reference for later use or access it from outside of block thread.

I have an flash application that captures a web cam video stream and stores it on the FMS server.I notice when I create a brand new video, and store it on my FMS server, it works fine.When I make another video and my application overrides the file with the new video, this is where I get problems.When I download the flv file from the FMS server, and I play it locally it plays fine, but the timeline is weird.The web player freezes the video during that first 15 seconds.A 30 second video, will have a time line of like 45 seconds, the local flv player is smart enough to skip over the paused part of the video.You will see it skip over the timeline to the good video (from 0sec to 15 secs). i have a datagrid which grows in size depending on the result of a call to my db. The call to the database returns an object with 30+ values for each row. When the number of rows returned exceeds about 80-90 the datagrid renders odd. It displays the first 50-60 rows fine but then it displays blank rows and they even continue to display outside the border of the datagrid.what is happening? Im using mxml webservice to retrieve the data.

I'm attaching an MC to the timeline and within that attached MC is a LoadVars.sendAndLoad command. This works flawlessly when I have a few variables but becomes horribly bogged down when I have to send (and receive) lots of data. It actually freezes my swf until all the data is loaded, then switches windows <minimizes itself in Win XP> after it's all done loading. I need a way for the original attach movie to finish loading, before I send the PHP commands...

View 5 RepliesI have a custom socket class designed to connect to a server and talk with it. At one point, the server uses hex data for speed, however Flash seems to not get ANY of this data. In fact, it doesn't get ANY of the data from that point to the next packet.
View 2 RepliesI wrote an image editor for my cms and wanted to send the image respectively the through the BitmapData's getPixels()-method received ByteArray to a PHP-script that displays and finally saves the image. Obviously I didn't succeed. How do I have to encode my binary data so that PHP is able to read it and how do I have to treat the bytes in PHP? I also tried encoding the image data with the corelib classes from [URL] but it didn't work as well.
