Nov 11, 2009We're designing an application and the client has requested that a portion of their app stay in Java Web Start and another portion be in a browser. I'm thinking about AIR as an alternative to the browser because that may give us more features b/c we don't have to stay in the browser security sandbox.How would I go about having an Air app talk to a Java Web Start app? Do they have to talk through a server? I guess potentially you can just create a socket connection between the two.

I wanted to be able to put 3 different mp3 files in flash and have people able to click on any sound and hear it. Be able to play and start and pause a sound. Multiple Flash Players - First Pause And Stop Then Start
May 1, 2010I have a flash player that plays an MP3 from my website. On one of my pages i have around 20 of these flash players embeded on the website. i've seen on other websites so when the user presses the play on flash player #1 and then while that's playing, they press play on flash player #2, it would first pause and stop flash player #1 and then start flash player #2 and so on.

Oct 15, 2010I'm putting an swf on a website and it's working great except for IE. (Although it works great in IE 9). In some versions of IE it will start to play then stop as if the video was never load and in others it will just go white. It works great in other browsers, just our favorite browser IE seems to screw it up (big surprise).

May 7, 2011The only options in my AWS Mananagement Council are to reboot and termiante. If I understand this correctly, if I terminate, I lose all my setup instructions and would have to pay the $5 one-time fee once I restart. Is this correct?How can I setup my instance so I can stop it? I've looked at the support page and it says that I need to have my instance backed up with EBS rather than S3. Sep 28, 2008I'm making this game with Adobe Flash and I have this level where you need to stop a bomb from exploding, but when you stopped it and go to the next frame the bomb is still running and you still go to the game over screen when the countdown reaches 0. For the countdown I use the following ActionScript:

Sep 24, 2009Just a minute ago my .fla file can be played. But after several minute when I added movie clips and animations. It just crashed down I guess, Adobe Flash CS3 stop working. I'm using Microsoft Vista operating system. I have an antivirus subscription which is McAfee with automatic update. I think it's a virus or what? I dunno what to do. I got a long way already with my animation on my file. When I will start from the very beginning it would be a mess and it will consumed a lot of time.Four to five attempts of testing the movie:
error msg: Adobe Flash CS3 stop working.
After several minute, test the movie again:
error msg: Flash CS3 memory overload, I dont know the exact error message.
I inspect the microsoft dialog and views the problem, it says APPCRASH, Flash.exe and has several .dll and other components did not load.

If I declare a window this way, and then call this.open(false);, the window will quickly open and then hide, and then be reshown when I actually display it, I want to do this to be able to load content and fit the window to that size before showing it.

Feb 25, 2010when you go to the home.html page an animation will play from start and then stop at the end of it. However, for all other pages i.e contact.html aboutus.html we need the animation to skip to the end straight away and not to play the whole animation through. I was thinking this would be controlled by a variable or some kind of external text file ect. Basically in the first frame the actionscript needs to basically say
"if this html page is aboutus.html then go to the last frame and stop" and with the index page it would say "if this html page is index.html then keep playing"

I have my intro in the first frame with one sound and then want the user to click anywhere to start the animation and another sound.The problem I am having is sound control.No matter what I try the sounds overlap. I have managed to stop the first sound when going to the next frame - the animation, but the second sound now will not start. The first sound is called in from the library with the below code:

The actionscript 3.0 I wrote makes the sound once but that's it. I have the "Loop" on but it only runs once. I need a Timer also but until I can get the sound goes its a mute point.
