Multiple Flash Players - First Pause And Stop Then Start
May 1, 2010
I have a flash player that plays an MP3 from my website. On one of my pages i have around 20 of these flash players embeded on the website. i've seen on other websites so when the user presses the play on flash player #1 and then while that's playing, they press play on flash player #2, it would first pause and stop flash player #1 and then start flash player #2 and so on.
i started with a Multiple mp3 players project and i more complicated with that - as you see in the picture i try to do that when click on the play button for every song this switch the song that selected -first preloading + percentage the mp3 file and after play it immediately and of course there is stop button, pause button when choose a song the previously that play will be muted
I'va any troubles in controlling sound in an external swf. I need to stop/play/pause it. I've put the sound file on the timeline of the external swf and I want to control it from tha main movie in wich I've load it. the swfs are made using AS2.0
My final goal would be to have the animation pause after the first click, then resume with the next click and so on.So, after successfully having started the animation on I tried adding a
this.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,stopF); function stopF(e:MouseEvent):void{ this.stop();
How can I get the pause button to stop sounds and music, and the play button to start them up again? As of now, it only stops the animation, and lets the music continue.
I have a movieclip named: F1. Inside F1 there are multiple movieclips (e.g. face_mc, lefteye_mc, righteye_mc, beard_mc, eyebrows, hair_mc etc). Now when I run the swf, the drag works fine when the mouse is on the face but if the mouse is on the eye/beard/mouth it only starts dragging that specific part only. For example, if the mouse is on the left eye and I start to drag only the left eye drags under the mouse.
Inside F1: I tried grouping it but it didn't worked. I also tried modify>combine objects>union....it removes everything but the face.
I got roped into assembling a cd of videos to send out to jazz students for my video class and I'm a bit over my head code-wise, so I'm turning to the pros. The project has about 5 different videos that are all suppose to play (locally from the disk) when the corresponding button is clicked, and they need to be scaled and positioned on the video section of the background img. I can make the buttons work, scale and position is no issue, but can't get one video to stop and the other to start.
I thought I would simply just removeChild the current video and start up the next one. When I took the project I thought it would be simple, but I had never really worked much with video so when I dug into it I found myself a bit overwhelmed. How to work with local media (I found tons of stuff on streaming it from the web) all I need is to make one video stop and another play when a button is clicked.
I am trying to embed audio players in a drop-down content tooltip. I will eventually have lots of these on a page.My problem is this:When I close the div the sound continues to playI can also make them play at the same time.I would like them to autostart when you open the div, but when I do that they both start at once before you've even activated the drop-down content. I would rather not do the whole site in flash.
im using this player [URL] for my site and i am also using [URL] i have 2 instances of advanced player in one page and the backround player. I want to pause the other players when one of the 2 advanced players are playing, something like that: if myadvancedmp3player1 is playing (if i press the play button), pause myadvancedmp3player2 and pause backround_music. if myadvancedmp3player2 is playing, pause myadvancedmp3player1 and pause backround_music
I have a web site that displays a column of flash videos. The page is w3c-valid. The problem is that the page loads very slowly and sometimes crashes my web browser. Until the page is fully loaded, the videos are slow to respond and play. Is there a way to make these videos load their preview images only? What should I do to speed the page up? The videos are 360x264.
I am working with the open source flash player at [URL].. and I am trying to figure out how to limit one sound file at a time. I know this has been done on a number of sites but I am unsure how to approach it.
Scenario: A page has five different instances of the flash player. The user is litening to one song but clicks on another to listen to it.Goal: The first audio file automatically stops while the second starts playing instead of both playing at the same time.
Do I need to have some sort of javascript handler than interacts with the swf or something?
I am currently working on a project that i need to have multiple flv players all displaying the same video simultaneously. I noticed that this causes a delay on the webpage when loading and the video doesnt start simultaneously for each player, so i guess the same video is loaded over and over again. Is there a workaround to that so i can load the video once and play it on the 3 players simultaneously??
var nc:NetConnection = new NetConnection();nc.connect(null); var ns:NetStream = new NetStream(nc); var ns2:NetStream = new NetStream(nc);var ns3:NetStream = new NetStream(nc);
I'd like to use the same music player displayed multiple times on the same page, one for each song. But when songs are played, I want the existing play to stop. For example:
song1 song2 song3
I click to play song1, while it's playing, I decide to play song3 instead. Based on the default setup, song3 will start playing while song1 continues to play. I'd like song1 to stop when song3 starts.
I am working on a project where i need to support multiple players and platforms to play videos. Major Platforms will be: Windows PC,Mac PC,Apple Devices and Android. This is the precedence i will be following. First it will check browser support for Silverlight 3 or later then Flash then HTML5. If not any one of them is supported user will be asked to installed Silverlight. I wanted to know which pattern and strategy i should use in order to support this functionality. Currently i have investigated about some javascript api that can do this detection on client side easily and load the player appropriately.. but as many of browser could be without javascript support so this method will fails to play videos. Is there any way I can do this detection on server side and inject proper Player HTML on client end?
I want to have a number of scenes with video players on each. Pasting means I get problems with duplicative functions. I am okay with creating new instances, but still run into duplicative functions (like onMetaData) I just can't seem to get around. Is there an elegant way of telling flash at the beginning to create all new nc, ns, etc?
Below is partial code (the part that is the problem). // Video setup var nc:NetConnection = new NetConnection(); nc.connect(null); var ns:NetStream = new NetStream(nc); ns.addEventListener(NetStatusEvent.NET_STATUS, onStatus); [Code] .....
I am currently working for a highscore system for my games website. and i have written the code for that. it only displays 1- players. i want to display overall top players when i click on top players url and want to display the monthly top 10 players when i click on monthly top players url.How to do this. i am trying since 2 days. i am struck at this point. kindly do look into this. the code as follows. Brand new to CS4 - downloaded last week, installed update, went through Adobe online tv tutorials.I took an wmv file and added it into the Media Encoder and exported it to f4v file. I went to CS4, created a new Flash Action Script 3, imported video, with one of the skins for client playback control. I saved the file. I published using "pause at start". In IE7, which is what the stats on the website are showing 40% of my visitors use, the Flash movie starts immediately. How do I get the Flash movie to appear on the screen with the first frame showing and the instrumentation there, but paused so that the client controls the start?
- how can I start the player from the position "pause" (so without playing a song when I open the flash) (and so with the button in position "play")
- I would like to add the button "previous track".. what code I need to create into the "mp3player.as"? (I think the button is the same of next but with "negative image" and with different names..)
- for a button like "stop" what I have to do? (a button with a simple action like: stop(); or stopAllSounds(); ?) (I've tried but without success...)
how to put mp3 which is just speaches done, be put alone in a flash file. Do i have to import sound? I wanted to be able to put 3 different mp3 files in flash and have people able to click on any sound and hear it. Be able to play and start and pause a sound. Is it possible are should I use something other than flash. Are should I convert to mp3 into another format and put in flash.
I am trying to create a sound button to start a sound and then stop it when clicked again. I thought it would be easy because there is a code snippet for "click to play/stop sound"
I have my sound file in my library.
Below is the code that is not working:
Instructions:1. Replace [URL]below with the desired URL address of your sound file. Keep the quotation marks ("").*/
CYOA2bttn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToPlayStopSound_11); var fl_SC_11:SoundChannel; //This variable keeps track of whether you want to play or stop the soundvar fl_ToPlay_11:Boolean = true; Proxy-Connection: keep-alive Cache-Control: max-age=0 Cp>function
I have a full flash site that loads a lot of external flash files. They are not all needed though for the main interaction. So let's say there's five links from the homepage, each one sending to a different page. Out of those five, there's two that are essential and that are pre-loaded, and three that will be loaded only if the user clicks on them. Now, I thought that, while the user is browsing one of the two essential pages, why not preload the other pages in the cache? This way he won't have to wait later on. So my config is:
1 - preload pages 1 and 2 2 - Load pages 3, 4, 5 in the case user is browsing page 1 or 2 3 - If user clicks on page 3, 4 or 5, load this page 4 - If user clicks on 3, 4, or 5, preload the clicked page and stop the preloading of the two others 5 - If user clicks on another non-essential page, resume loading of the page
Ok, steps 1, 2 and 3 are obvious and easy. But I'm stuck for steps 4 and 5. If I begin preloading the pages 3 4 and 5, how can I "pause" two of them to let the page clicked by the user use as much bandwidth as possible? And if the user clicks another page, and it has been loaded up to 70%, or 30% or whatever, how will I resume the downloading from there? I am confused. I hope my question is clear enough. Basically, if someone can point me to a way to stop a preloader, meaning, stop it from downloading an external file, and resume it later from where it stopped, I think I could work up the rest.
I realize this is probably an old thread, but does anyone have an actionscript example of how to create a custom start and stop time for a Flash video? In other words I'd like to be able to "bracket" the play time of a Flash video with custom start and stop times rather than start at the beginning and end at the end.
I'm putting an swf on a website and it's working great except for IE. (Although it works great in IE 9). In some versions of IE it will start to play then stop as if the video was never load and in others it will just go white. It works great in other browsers, just our favorite browser IE seems to screw it up (big surprise).
I finished with the video basics tutorials, however with the tutorial the video automatically plays at the beginning. Is there a way for the video to start off paused? [code]...
i need to find a way to pause and start again from that same position the 'infinite menu' found here on kirupa URL...A friend of mine attempted to help me, and gave me some code to fiddle with. I did fiddle with it, but problem was, the code was for Flash MX 2004. So it didnt work on my MX. Here is the existing code i have, but doesn't function (i.e. works fine when control>Test Movie, but doesnt work when actual .swf from folder is opened)[code]
While streaming a live worship service in Flash format, I'll need to archive only the sermon in Flash. I do not want to handle this in post/editing. What will I need to make this happen?
I have created a short animation in Flash CS4 which has one button with a URL link. the button shows up on frame 217, and on that frame I added the following action script:
[Code]...
however, the 'hit zone' for the button shows up from frame 1 of the animation. is there a way of getting the hit zone to start when the button shows up?
How to control (start / stop encoding) Flash Media Encoder 3.5 using ActionScript 3 (using Flash CS4)? Flash Media Server 3.5 is also installed in same server. It includes an Apache server, which I think can run batch script, if CGI is installed.
