Flash :: Limit A Page With Multiple Mp3 Players To Play One At A Time?
May 29, 2010
I am working with the open source flash player at [URL].. and I am trying to figure out how to limit one sound file at a time. I know this has been done on a number of sites but I am unsure how to approach it.
Scenario: A page has five different instances of the flash player. The user is litening to one song but clicks on another to listen to it.Goal: The first audio file automatically stops while the second starts playing instead of both playing at the same time.
Do I need to have some sort of javascript handler than interacts with the swf or something?
I have a web site that displays a column of flash videos. The page is w3c-valid. The problem is that the page loads very slowly and sometimes crashes my web browser. Until the page is fully loaded, the videos are slow to respond and play. Is there a way to make these videos load their preview images only? What should I do to speed the page up? The videos are 360x264.
I'd like to use the same music player displayed multiple times on the same page, one for each song. But when songs are played, I want the existing play to stop. For example:
song1 song2 song3
I click to play song1, while it's playing, I decide to play song3 instead. Based on the default setup, song3 will start playing while song1 continues to play. I'd like song1 to stop when song3 starts.
I am working on a project where i need to support multiple players and platforms to play videos. Major Platforms will be: Windows PC,Mac PC,Apple Devices and Android. This is the precedence i will be following. First it will check browser support for Silverlight 3 or later then Flash then HTML5. If not any one of them is supported user will be asked to installed Silverlight. I wanted to know which pattern and strategy i should use in order to support this functionality. Currently i have investigated about some javascript api that can do this detection on client side easily and load the player appropriately.. but as many of browser could be without javascript support so this method will fails to play videos. Is there any way I can do this detection on server side and inject proper Player HTML on client end?
i started with a Multiple mp3 players project and i more complicated with that - as you see in the picture i try to do that when click on the play button for every song this switch the song that selected -first preloading + percentage the mp3 file and after play it immediately and of course there is stop button, pause button when choose a song the previously that play will be muted
I am trying to embed audio players in a drop-down content tooltip. I will eventually have lots of these on a page.My problem is this:When I close the div the sound continues to playI can also make them play at the same time.I would like them to autostart when you open the div, but when I do that they both start at once before you've even activated the drop-down content. I would rather not do the whole site in flash.
I have a flash player that plays an MP3 from my website. On one of my pages i have around 20 of these flash players embeded on the website. i've seen on other websites so when the user presses the play on flash player #1 and then while that's playing, they press play on flash player #2, it would first pause and stop flash player #1 and then start flash player #2 and so on.
I made a game as the same site URL..Anyone knows how to prevent user open and play game on multiple browser windows at a time?I used flash control to embed flash into aspx page and connect to sql server
I have a one page web site with 5 links to pseudo pages, so my problem is that on every part of the web site the swf files start playing. (Of course I understand that I can set the first one to play and the others to stop mode, but that doesn't solve the problem) What I try do do is this: *When the web site starts only the first pseudo page let the swf play. *When clicking a link to an other pseudo page that particular movie on the linked page starts playing. *All other swf movies don't play.
I would like to play two videos (progressive), on top of each other. Nothing serious. But the second video contains multiple counters that has to play synchrone (with other words:simultaneously) with the first video.The second video (which is much smaller than the first) will preload much quicker and thereby starts playing earlier than the other video. Is there a way to start the video's at the same time and play them in progressive mode? (embedding is not an option because of the large filesize)
I'm new to the forum and also to flash.I'm trying to create a 2 minute video. Can someone please tell me how to set the time.for eg: I want the first part of animation i createed to play for 5 seconds.when i give the frame from 1 to 5 it plays too fast(i.e does not last 5 seconds). when i give frame rate as 1second per frame(usually 24fps) the animation is not smooth:(. how do i set it so that it plays for 5 seconds and the next 5 seconds i want the remaining animation to play.
but i've just been learning what i can from the net. anyway, a friend of mine bought a flash website template off the net and gave it to me to modify for his wife's business (it's a spa). so i've got it all done and they are wanting to upload it onto the server for the grand opening this weekend, (even though i haven't been paid for doing the work yet).so i was wondering if there was some sort of actionscript i could insert so that the website will only play for a specific time (lets say from 5:00pm on 4/31/09 thru the weekend, to say... 6:00am on 5/3/09.
it would be extremely nice if one of you Geniuses could maybe even help out with the script
I created a "movie" that is basically just several sentances fading in and out. I'd like it to stop eventually, so it's not annoying. I know with animated gifs you can tell it to "play" 5 times (or however many times you want). Is there a way to do this in Flash? Or would it be something I set on my html page?
play a number of FLV files at the same time on one SWF? Basically I have a brief to create a video banner with a number of FLVs of people playing at the same time but starting at different points in the videos. My concerns are with loading times, memory consumption and the starting of each FLV at a different point and looping it.
I'm creating a banner navigation with quick animation and I just want to PLAY the animation when user visit the page for a first time OR only in homepage (index page).Basically when visitor go to another pages, they won't see the "banner" animation over & over again. How to accomplish this ?
I'd like to know whether it is possible to time-limit the final SWF Flash animation? Can it read the system date and stop working after 45 days, for example?
As I am getting more familiar with FMS and understanding it better with the help of the wonderful contributors here on this forum, I am now curious about players.Players such as Strobe and REOPS to be specific.Are players all SWFs that are embedded in a page? I have seen some players here on the Adobe website that are stand-alone smaller windows that appear over the page. How is this done?So Strobe and REOPS...are we talking SWF code that is editable? You can see I am quite new to this. I'm on a roll, however and wish to continue understanding and learning.
Is it feasible to play a number of FLV files at the same time on one SWF? Basically I have a brief to create a video banner with a number of FLVs of people playing at the same time but starting at different points in the videos. My concerns are with loading times, memory consumption and the starting of each FLV at a different point and looping it.
I'm creating a video player that have 2 ways of playing the video file. 1st is by streaming. Will play the file directly on each click/ 2nd, is by preloading the video. And only plays it when its fully loaded. But while its preloading, I could still able to click on others video as well to preload the videos and put them on queue for playing.
Currently I'm on the 2nd stage. The problem I'm facing now is it only plays the sound bout not the video. And it overlaps. I'm not sure I have to duplicate the NetConnection or NetStream like how we usually do to duplicate some MovieClip.
ActionScript Code: public function set newVideo(v:String):void { currentStatus = "play";
I am currently working on a project that i need to have multiple flv players all displaying the same video simultaneously. I noticed that this causes a delay on the webpage when loading and the video doesnt start simultaneously for each player, so i guess the same video is loaded over and over again. Is there a workaround to that so i can load the video once and play it on the 3 players simultaneously??
var nc:NetConnection = new NetConnection();nc.connect(null); var ns:NetStream = new NetStream(nc); var ns2:NetStream = new NetStream(nc);var ns3:NetStream = new NetStream(nc);
What I am trying to do is have multiple play/stop buttons on one page. I've been watching tutorials trying to figure out the best way to do this, but it seems there are so many different ways. I am making the band's name as the play/stop button (one color as play, a different color as stop). I've successfully done that to one button. What I'd like to be able to do is add anywhere from 3-6 songs (all different bands/buttons) per page.
Also, if one song is playing and another song is clicked, I would like to stop the first song and start whatever one is clicked so there aren't multiple songs playing at one time.
And if it's not too much to ask, once one song is either done playing or another is clicked, if it could go back to the first state of the button, that would be amazing.
I will paste my code below for the button I have. If there is a simpler way to do it, I'm totally open to that. Like I said, there seems to be so many ways to do everything, I'm not sure which is best.
var loadSnd:URLRequest = new URLRequest("Song1.mp3"); var thisSnd:Sound = new Sound(); var sndTrans:SoundChannel = new SoundChannel(); thisSnd.load(loadSnd);
Several times I was exposed to a problem where my content (made in Flash 8) was displayed wrong on some computers with older Flash players. Some objects are missing, etc.
How can I prevent browsers to play my content, unless a user has an up-to-date-version of Flash Player? It can either refuse to play it and say "press here to download newest Flash Player" or it can install the newest Flash Player automaticly (if it is possible).
im using this player [URL] for my site and i am also using [URL] i have 2 instances of advanced player in one page and the backround player. I want to pause the other players when one of the 2 advanced players are playing, something like that: if myadvancedmp3player1 is playing (if i press the play button), pause myadvancedmp3player2 and pause backround_music. if myadvancedmp3player2 is playing, pause myadvancedmp3player1 and pause backround_music
I want to have a number of scenes with video players on each. Pasting means I get problems with duplicative functions. I am okay with creating new instances, but still run into duplicative functions (like onMetaData) I just can't seem to get around. Is there an elegant way of telling flash at the beginning to create all new nc, ns, etc?
Below is partial code (the part that is the problem). // Video setup var nc:NetConnection = new NetConnection(); nc.connect(null); var ns:NetStream = new NetStream(nc); ns.addEventListener(NetStatusEvent.NET_STATUS, onStatus); [Code] .....
I am currently working for a highscore system for my games website. and i have written the code for that. it only displays 1- players. i want to display overall top players when i click on top players url and want to display the monthly top 10 players when i click on monthly top players url.How to do this. i am trying since 2 days. i am struck at this point. kindly do look into this. the code as follows. Setting up a time limit that if the time equals to 3 minutes the game stop.I have a card game with 10 different cards to be paired. My problem is to put a timer that limit the player to only 3 minutes of playing after which a movie clip that says "Time is up!" will be displayed.
i use loadmovie() to load youtube videos inside my flash website but when i load another video the old one doesn't stop, so i tried unloadmovie to destroy it but it seems that i did a mistake in my code
This is how the code looks to stop the old one an load the new:
sorry if i ask questions that been posted b4, but i js cant find one actionscript which teaches how to make a time limit countdown. such as in my game the characters need to do something in 30seconds. And so i need a time limit of 30seconds.
I know its possible to put a limit on how many bullets (which is a MC) that can be on the screen at one time. However, I've been playing with it for about an hour now and can't figure out the right AS. I am including the swf and the fla.
