I am trying to embed audio players in a drop-down content tooltip. I will eventually have lots of these on a page.My problem is this:When I close the div the sound continues to playI can also make them play at the same time.I would like them to autostart when you open the div, but when I do that they both start at once before you've even activated the drop-down content. I would rather not do the whole site in flash.

The thing is that these 3 external swf's have embeded flv's. when switching between the swf's with the buttons, im using vid1loader.unload();the only thing is that while the video switched to the other video like it should, the audio keeps running on any number of videos(swf's) that are loaded. My question is how do you stop the audio when using simple Loader and URLRequest to load the swf's?

On one of my pages i have around 20 of these flash players embeded on the website. i've seen on other websites so when the user presses the play on flash player #1 and then while that's playing, they press play on flash player #2, it would first pause and stop flash player #1 and then start flash player #2 and so on.

I tried using unloadAndStop(); but this isn't working for me (either that or I'm not putting it in the correct spot. I have a web site that displays a column of flash videos. The page is w3c-valid. The problem is that the page loads very slowly and sometimes crashes my web browser. Until the page is fully loaded, the videos are slow to respond and play. Is there a way to make these videos load their preview images only? What should I do to speed the page up? The videos are 360x264.

Scenario: A page has five different instances of the flash player. The user is litening to one song but clicks on another to listen to it.Goal: The first audio file automatically stops while the second starts playing instead of both playing at the same time.
Do I need to have some sort of javascript handler than interacts with the swf or something?
Are there any free audio players that I can use in my website? Are they customizable?
I've heard of Soundmanager 2. It's a flash based player with a javascript front-end.
Are there any other free players like that?

I'm working on a project which involves usage of the same font on few loaded swfs. These are 95 base symbols and 11 more (specific for my language). Now i have them in library as movie clip. Is it possible to somehow share it ? Or export them and then reload to swfs? I've did a lot of searching but nothings really doing it right.

I noticed that this causes a delay on the webpage when loading and the video doesnt start simultaneously for each player, so i guess the same video is loaded over and over again. Is there a workaround to that so i can load the video once and play it on the 3 players simultaneously??

I'd like to use the same music player displayed multiple times on the same page, one for each song. But when songs are played, I want the existing play to stop. For example:

I click to play song1, while it's playing, I decide to play song3 instead. Based on the default setup, song3 will start playing while song1 continues to play. I'd like song1 to stop when song3 starts.
I am working on a project where i need to support multiple players and platforms to play videos. Major Platforms will be: Windows PC,Mac PC,Apple Devices and Android. This is the precedence i will be following. First it will check browser support for Silverlight 3 or later then Flash then HTML5. If not any one of them is supported user will be asked to installed Silverlight. I wanted to know which pattern and strategy i should use in order to support this functionality. Currently i have investigated about some javascript api that can do this detection on client side easily and load the player appropriately.. but as many of browser could be without javascript support so this method will fails to play videos. Is there any way I can do this detection on server side and inject proper Player HTML on client end?

I am okay with creating new instances, but still run into duplicative functions (like onMetaData) I just can't seem to get around. Is there an elegant way of telling flash at the beginning to create all new nc, ns, etc?

I'm currently working on a project which involves importing audio streams and visualising them within Flash. At the moment I have two files, one which can import all of the streams at once, continuously and another which visualises just one of the streams using an example animation I found which will be replaced at a later date. My problem is connecting the array to the visualisation so that all of the streams interact with it and affect the animation. Below is the code I have for the multiple streams with no visualisation file.

If I import an FLV video is there any way to remove the audio, put the audio into a byte array, and then re-add the audio to the flv video?
View 1 RepliesI have a page that has a table with each row corresponding to an audio file. The last cell in each row embeds a simple flash audio player. The problem is that the flash file for the player is being downloaded for each row separately and as soon as rows go beyond 40-50 it crashes the browser.
I tried using different players (1pixelout, flash-mp3-player) and the problem is still there, so its not a player specific issue.
Is there any way to cache the player so that it is only downloaded once?
The following AS3 code is sometimes causing the audio to play multiple times, almost simultaneously like a crazy echo. It usually works ok with that URL but when I use a [URL]... it always freaks out. On rare occasions I think the issue has happened with local files even. I copied this code from somewhere else so I don't entirely understand it. Do you see a problem with this implementation or is Flash just crazy?

Here's the setup:
On page one.html there is a SWF with a dynamic text box in it with the instance of "txtBox".
On page two.html, the only thing on the page (including code) is "hello".
I'd like the SWF on page one.html to say "hello" in the text box.
I am new to flash and have created my first flash video, a simple set of fading photos for my website front page.I am using Flash, Dreamweaver and Fireworks all CS3, The flash video is embeded in the webpage and works fine in preview mode in Dreamweaver but does not appear at all in the uploaded webpage.The flash video works fine through the link on the webpage.I have uploaded the AC_RunActiveContent.js script to a scripts folder and to the folder where the webpage is and also the folder containing the flash video file.

How do i keep a embedded video from trying to display fullscreen? I have a flash movie [I'm using it as a presentation] and in it i have a video [embedded as FLVPlayback] when i run this in flash player in full screen mode [the flash player not the flash file]. when it gets to the frame with the video the video tries to run in fullscreen. I just want it to run with in the flash file that is running fullscreen.
