Oct 11, 2009i have looked everywhere for a tutorial on this - i have tried writing, and re-writing codes....i just cant get it. is there any tutorial i overlooked? here is what im looking to do - NO SHORTCUTS: have my main file that loads the buttons, my external swf container, my intro animations, and my swf "out" and "in" animations when a button is clicked i want it to point me to specific frame labels. i will have an "out" and "in" frame label and which will be the locations of the transitional starting points i want it to play the "out" transition, than unload the current swf, than play the in transition, than load the swf of the button that was clicked i want the animations to all be done using frame labels all within the MAIN swf file.... i have had no luck doing this....and i do NOT like the tween class....

Aug 24, 2009I'm building a site with six pages. Each page is contained in a movie clip with a transition in and a transition out with stop(); in the middle. What I'm trying to do is trigger the transition out from page A to transition in page B.Example;
Button A is clicked and transition in is played in mc_A. mc_A is then stoped in the middle.
Button B is clicked and plays transition out in mc_A then contunus to transition in in mc_B.

Flexbuilder :: Flex Transition Effects Work On 2nd And After Transition
May 18, 2010i have a flex app that transitions between 2 states with the toggle of a button. my issue is that the effect of fading only seems to work on the 2nd transition and after. However, for my first transition... going from State1 to studyState... there is no fade effect whatsoever, in fact the components in state1 disappear completely (the footer fills the empty gap where the "body" use to be) and then the flex recreates the studyState (without any fade refilling the "body" with components only in studyState). After this first transition however, going between studyState and State1 working COMPLETELY fine.. why does this happen and how can i make it so that crossfade works STARTING FROM THE VERY FIRST TRANSITION?[code]

I would like the content box to resize smaller on one page when activated by a button and resize back to normal when clicked on any other button. I figure I will use a shape tween to resize the box to avoid distortion. So, how do I program each button to transition properly if the page with the smaller box is displayed?

Jan 19, 2009I need to do a flash banner, where are 3 images (i had to cut down 2 images off from file, to be able to attach it)(all of them have text, contact button (clickable) and background box).When hoverover image:
-image changes to another
-image and background zooms to a bit bigger
-text changes to new
When hoverout, image changes back to it's original form.At the moment, I made buttons, of those 3 images.It works quit well, but transition to mouseOver is quit ruff..

However, how do I attach actionscript to the button to make it go places because it is coming onto the movie directly from the library. After that, if without submitting the details, "Second" is clicked then an alert message should come to inform the user that "First is still in progress, do you want to cancel and begin Second operation". Jun 17, 2010I have my test site at alenelias.com/home2.html and I'm using an old AS2 class for the buttons to do the up, over, hover, selected states.When you click the back button on the browser, the selected state doesn't change and I can't figure out how to fix this and it is the most important problem here.The title of the pages has the forward slashes as well and tried to change it with no luck.And third if I keep clicking back, once I reach the intro page (loader in a different scene), if I press forward, the url changes but the page does not. Jul 18, 2006All works fine untill I do something to the loaded swf.For example if I click a button on the loaded swf the button works but then when I click the button on the main movie to load the next and play the transition the transistion doesnt work.If I dont do anything to the loaded swf the transitions work.Is it something to do with the paths being changed when the loaded swf is acivated?

Feb 17, 2008I've got an XML document that holds the info for a Press section I'm doing for a client. The XML holds the path to a thumbnail, the headline text and a link to the original article. I'm having no problem getting the thumbnails to load in and the headline was a breeze too. Put them both in holders so I could position them later. My trouble comes when I try to pass the link attributes to a button that also gets attached to each press clipping. I can trace out the link array that I create to hold my XML data but when I try to pass it to a getURL function inside a button in the same For loop "i" is never passed.
