I have a video file which plays fine but it plays as soon as the welcome page starts. I have some small text animation which needs to play first and after 45 Seconds my video should start playing automatically. How to achieve this? Using actionscript 3.

I am putting together a small slideshow of pictures and it's only about 350 frames. I haven't worked with Flash since version 4.0, so I'm still trying to figure out Adobe's setup. 4.0's setup was so easy when it came to replaying a video once it hit the last keyframe, but I'm so lost in this ActionScript stuff.

I imported a video in my "about me" section of my website with a skin chosen from within flash. However, when I click within another section of my website, for example "Home" and go back to the "about me" section, the video starts playing automaticly. If your speakers are turned all the way up, you will jump.

I DO NOT KNOW FLASH - let's just get that straight. I do not know actionscript, and I'm not familiar ith the interface. But I do know how to open a document, drag a .flv into the frame, add a playback skin, and save a swf for use on a web page.
The problem is that the videos all start playing on default. I'd like the user to have to hit the "play" button to play the video so that they are not inundated with sound when the page loads.

So I made a few buttons with sounds within them and when I publish it they work just fine. But what I want them to do is;
Say I click a Button.The sound starts playing.Then I click it again, before the sounds done playing.I want it to stop the playing sound and start playing the button I just clicked on, whether it be the same button, or a different one.Right now it just ends up sounds like an echo because it'll play it as many times as you click it.
The problem I have is I click the play button and start playing. Then I click next and when I click play for another song the songs overlap. How can I stop whatever song is playing and start playing the new one? Has to stop the prev song when I click play_brn.

I purchased a template from template monster that has a Flash Intro. It has a header with a previous and next button and three photos.When the site loads up the first photo drops into place and text flies out from the sides of the photo then when you hit the next button the next photo drops in with its text and so on.I was able to change the photos and text and all works fine. What I want is for the banner to automatically rotate these three images and texts every 4 seconds or when someone hits those next or previous buttons.
Right now the images/text only move if you hit the next or previous buttons. In dreamweaver I set the Flash to autoplay and loop but that did nothting.

I'm trying to build a scene in which multiple instances of the same mc start at different intervals and continue to restart over and over again at different intervals. I'm trying to get the mc to start anywhere from 3 to 10 seconds after it last stopped. I used this as3 code inside th mc itself.

The trace shows a random number is generated but it doesn't seem to effect the interval of the timer after the first run through. "Hello" shows up in the output window every second after the randNum is traced regardless of the randNum's value.
I've tried using timer.reset but that seems to do nothing at all or stops the repeat. Probably because I don't understand how to use either '.reset' or '.delay'. I looked them up in the documentation and still don't get how they are used or even if they are appropriate to this situation. Obviously, a lot I do not understand about as3.
I have a home page and five other pages. The five pages have a main menu at the top containing buttons that allow you to go to the other pages:

However, any page with the main menu automatically switches to the next page after about six seconds. The code seems pretty straightforward so I have no idea what I'm missing.

Now my question is as follows: On the actual website you are able to go to certain parts in the video by adding "#at=xx" to the end of the url, xx being the amount (in seconds) that you want it to start at..For example, http:[url]...., takes you to a music video on youtube... but... http:[url].... , takes you to a music video and starts the video at 41 seconds... I'm assuming they use javascript to somehow communicate to flash..So what code do I need to use in actionscript so that the embedded video will start at 41 seconds?
I have a flash file with a volume controller. everything works the problem is that music wont start unless play is pressed and volume gets turned up. Obviously is something to do with the coding in the script. All I want is the music to start automatically and the volume to be up already once song is loaded. I tried playing with the script but no luck.
