I need to create an interactive slideshow where the each image automatically slides to the left every 10 seconds. There should also be the option of clicking a button to move both back and forth as well.

A friend has asked me to help create a flash slideshow for them. I know how to do this using older versions of flash but there seems to be a quicker way in CS3.I have selected from the opening menu, Flash Slide Presentation.I have created my slideshow and added transitions.Everything looks great however I can only progress the slideshow using the arrow keys.My question is...Using this slideshow setting can I set my slideshow to loop through the slides automatically instead of progress with the arrow keys?

I have a few thumbnails and when you click on one the image slides in from the right. That part is fine. View 1 RepliesI have 2 movie clips, one names mc_frame01 and another mc_frame02. I've tried to set variables and arguments to make it easier when theres more mc_frameXX's. All I want the animation to do is first MC slides in from the right, pauses, then slides off to the left. Then repeat for each MC. With the code below, both MC's seem to slide in from the right at the same time and that's it.

I am trying to figure out how to create a flash slideshow including buttons that interact with the slides. A perfect example of what I am trying to create is the flash slideshow on the Frito Lay's website[url]....I am sure there is some action code for the button that can do this, but being to to Flash code.
View 1 RepliesI want to make an interactive image scroller. I am making a webshop and I want a flash to scroll through some of the latest products (3 or 4) that I put in myself and animate or whatever, maybe there's a better and easier way. I want this movie to have these products scrolling from right to left by auto with maybe an ease effect, but when you move your mouse pointer over the whole movie I want it to stop, and when it stops I want two arrows appear on the left and right side of the movie which will be clickable and you will be able to scroll through the products with them as well.
It doesn't need to have an external XML connection where you insert scrolling speed and so on. Of course it would be simplier, but without is fine too. I will try to explain in what terms I know of:
-Mouseout/rollout = 3 or 4 products scrolling one by one from the right and ease in to the middle, pause 4 seconds, then scroll out to the left with an ease. Looped.
-Mouseover/rollover = Movie stops and then you can use arrows on both each side and scroll by yourself. But I don't know if I want this only to be available when the product is in the center of the movie, or else it would be kind of weird if the movie stopped when one product was just about to go half-way out or in.
I am pretty new to flash but I am kind of getting the hang of things. I am trying to create a interactive slideshow in flash that will not end up on the web. These are three quick questions I currently have. Thanks for any help you can provide
1. Let's say I have an icon of a person in my flash file, how can I make it so that when my moves rolls over the person a thinking bubble appears and when it rolls off the bubble disappears?
2. If I have a small image of a page version of a .pdf file in my flash file, how can I make it so that when the little .pdf page icon is click the .pdf file is launched?
3. I understand how to create a square button over text and mess with its up/down/over/click settings, but I am wondering how I can do something like change the color of the text when it is clicked or when the mouse is over it? Right now I only know how to change the color of the square button.
I am a multimedia student and I want to create an interactive slide show to put in the Portfolio section of my web site. How would I do that? Would it be easier to do in Dreamweaver CS5 or create in After effects then import in Dreamweaver? I have never done slideshows. What I want; is a slide show of my work to scroll on the screen, when the person hovers their mouse over the picture from left to right, the slideshow moves, when you click on a specific image, you are able to see the image in a bigger size.
View 1 RepliesI purchased a template from template monster that has a Flash Intro. It has a header with a previous and next button and three photos.When the site loads up the first photo drops into place and text flies out from the sides of the photo then when you hit the next button the next photo drops in with its text and so on.I was able to change the photos and text and all works fine. What I want is for the banner to automatically rotate these three images and texts every 4 seconds or when someone hits those next or previous buttons.
Right now the images/text only move if you hit the next or previous buttons. In dreamweaver I set the Flash to autoplay and loop but that did nothting.
How can I make my Introduction_mc automatically disappear after 10 Seconds and load Home_mc (automatically)? I don't want user to change by himself this Introduction page. It should be done automatically.
View 4 RepliesI am trying to create a slide show using actionscript that changes the images automatically. I have the script for a slide show that has buttons to let the user change the slides. It gets the images from a specified folder (which I want it to do- they are all named 1.jpeg, 2.jpeg...etc which makes it easy to update them) and loads it into an image holder named (imageHolder). There is a function called nextImage which loads the next picture, but at the moment is controlled by the buttons. I'm not sure how to get it to change images automatically using actionscript.

I am building a slide show in Flash 4. I have a series of slides that I want to automatically advance from slide to slide in order after 10 seconds. Is there a slide control in flash for this? Is there an actionscript for this?
View 1 RepliesThis doesn't happen very often but if you go to [URL] and click through the slides you'll notice on occasion, a slide will stick on screen and not slide out. And then the other slides slide under the stuck slide. Obviously, this is not acceptable at all. I tried to upload the .fla but FK keeps giving me a Upload failed error. So I'll just have to include the code below. Hopefully, someone can explain to me why this is happening. Is it possible it's because people are clicking too fast and it's a Flash tweening bug?

I'm making a presentation and want to make the text of the slides appear on command.This is what I wrote on the actions layer.

On the actions layer there's a stop "stop();" before each new layer starts. But it doesn't work. I tried to paste the code in any order but still nothing. I works on a sample fla file I got.
the 3 externally loaded SWFs rotate with fade in/outf effect on their own as well as per button click. What I would like to add to it is having the the buttons change appearance (Tint or anything) - just to show which slide the user is currently seeing. here's my code:

When you go to each different section the content frame slides to the left regardless of what button you click.. We learned recently about buttonmode etc. and I can go to different Frames on a click.. but here it doesnt seem to go to a new frame it just loads each new clip with the same tiny effect? Is is pure scripting or how did they manage this??

View 5 RepliesI'm new to flex/flash cs5, but am an experienced coder, and am trying to help a friend get a site built quickly so they can graduate. They would like their image gallery that displays their portfolio to have:thumbnails floating around slowly and bouncing off of one another - mouse hover would freeze and then resume animation after the mouse leaves - when clicked the thumbnail would grow to the full size image and be displayed in the same window as the floating objects Something similar to whats found at: Flash and Picasa gallery with those other features would be perfect, but without the Google RSS aspect of it. Might anyone know where I could be pointed in the right direction for accomplishing this? Or possibly could be given technical names for the effects I'm trying to implement so I can look them up easier? Perhaps even a link to download something with the floating/bouncing element for the thumbnails, then I could figure out the code for the other effects needed.

There are some users that see white space (the stage) before thefirst image loads. Depending on the clients connection, etc this can take aslong as 2 or 3 sec.
I was thinking about placing a jpeg in the fla, and adding it to the stageas a symbol or graphic, so instead of white space (or a color other than white)the user sees an image on the page, and when the xml loader places the first image on the page, the user sees the image, and the slideshow, etc.
I have an interactive slideshow that I need to do which display pictures. Upon hitting the "next" or "previous" button one pictures needs to slide off to the left with motion blur and easing while the next one comes on from the right.

As far as I have been able to find out, the best way to do this would be using XML. I have looked at a ton of tutorials on xml for AS3 and I can't seem to adapt them to match what I am trying to do. There seems to be so many different ways that one can go about loading xml and all of them are different so I don't see how to make the different tutorials integrate into what I need. I found tutorials that do pictures and text, or just text, or pictures that go automatically but not with buttons etc - and what I need is just pictures with buttons and motion easing (which I can probably figure out once I learn how to load the xml pics and get them moving with buttons).
I was not expecting to get some code that I could just copy and paste but I have not been able to figure out to adjust the code to fit what I need.
I am doing the AS in an .as file and I am trying not to put any AS in the fla document because this slideshow is just one section of a bigger framework.

I want to have kind of control pannel with buttons numbered from 1 to n, always visible at the front layer. In the background, there will be swf files that change, for example, every 30 seconds. And each change consists of fade in and fade out effect of the swf container (and so the loaded swf file itself). During the swf changes, the buttons should change too by switching their states from 0 to 1 and so on. User should be able to skip to any frame he wants by clicking the corresponding button.This is the code I already have:

I have used this slideshow for few projects and all I've done in the past is import new images (about 100k) and publish. The image are bit map of type (png) not big about 100k size.
Without saving the file I do a "test movie". Instead of doing the slideshow it displays the first image but doesn't loop through the rest.
I'm at a bit at a lost here. The path to the image in bitmap properties on the origanal file in imported is relative but when I select a new image its full path.
