I do want to filter the first array but I also want them to stay the same. How do I do that? I have tried and intermediary array with no success. After days of trying the work out what was going on in my code
I work in Flash CS3, AS3.I've created a button that links to another webpage by using this code (the code is added to a separate layer):

It works just fine, but the problem is that I want to add more buttons (and links) to it, and thats where I get stuck. When I try just adding a new layer and adding the code there, everything stops working. I've also tried copy/pasting the code beneath the first one, with no results.
I am curious if this is an okay implementation of the Array.filter() method.

I was not able to figure out an implementation of the callback function for the filter() method, where the callback was outside of the getGallery() function. I wonder if there is a way to get the isGallery function outside of the getGallery scope?
I have three movieClips in my library: circ1, circ2, circ3. Each has been linked and exported for actionscript. I am trying to loop through an array of these movieClips, pick one, place it an array for use later, and then place the selected movie clip on the stage at a random x,y position. Here is my code:

I'm trying to create some script that will connect to my PHP script, which has searched the database for whatever I told it to....and it will right the results to XML that I send to Flash. What I've been up all night doing is trying to make some kind of class that will allow me to filter those results avtively?
If you're running Firefox:
Go to the address bar and type about:config
When you get there you can filter them by typing any letter
It will return all the results that have that/those letters in them
Notice how it does it for every letter
Actually you can see you preview of it by using the iTunes search feature

I have traces set up which seem to show that until I declare that Tween all is going as expected, but the last trace there shows -1, and when I check the values of each individual filter in the array they are all increasing and decreasing together.

I'm looking for an efficient way to filter a specific color from a bitmapData object in ActionScript 3. Currently I use a loop with readByte32(). This takes about a second to process which is unacceptable. I have been trying to get paletteMap() to work but so far haven't been able to grasp its API (any truly useful links? After much searching, I just haven't quite found an example that will let me make the leap from hard coding to dynamically loading the data (in large part, because of the name space declaration as part of the array element).
When i try to add label components through a array to a single frame only the last one that was added shows up. Then if i was to comment out the 2nd array of labels. the first one will show.
