ActionScript 3.0 :: Functions Loading In Wrong Order?

Oct 20, 2009

How do I stop the visible function coming before the one above it? Here is my code:

ActionScript Code:
root.info2();
infomc.visible = false;

info2 is a function for a button which contains other functions which need to be performed before the button(infomc) becomes invisible. At the moment, it becomes invisible first before any of the functions on info2 begin.

CS3 :: Playing In Wrong Order

Aug 26, 2010

I did a banner in flash CS3. I did 8 things and you see them one after the other one. The first time that it plays it goes on the right order but after it finished, when it normally has to start playing again, it plays in wrong order (the first then the third, the last, the second again the first, last and so on), it just does what he wants and not what I did.

Flex :: Wrong Element Order When Using SkinnableContainer And States

Aug 10, 2011

When I use a descendant of the SkinnableContainer (eg BorderContainer) which itself is included or excluded in a state, the child elements in the default state appears in incorrect order. This problem disappears when using a Group instead of BorderContainer, or when the container itself is not included or excluded in a state, or when states changes forth and back. What is going on here? Am I missing something or is this a bug in Flex?

ActionScript 3.0 :: Content Loader Loads The Files In Wrong Order

Feb 28, 2010

I am using a content loader through AS3 to load some images and then later pushed into an array. I have pushed my image file paths in to an array (arrayImages). But when the loader loads the images it doesn't load the images based on the order they are listed in the arrayImages, instead they were loaded based on their file sizes. Is there anyway that these can be loaded in the order they were pushed to the array? Below is the code that i use to load the images.

function funcLoadImages() {
for (var i:uint=0; i<arrayImages.length; i++) {
var ldrImageLoader:Loader=new Loader();
ldrImageLoader.load(new URLRequest(arrayImages[i]));ldrImageLoader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener( Event.COMPLETE,pushLoadedImagetoAnotherArray);
}
}

ActionScript 3.0 :: Execution Row Of Order Functions With Tweener

Nov 15, 2009

I have a chicken walking on the screen. The legs are separate movieclips nested. After a while I had the chicken walking rightwards, with hittest(there must be a better way) at the end of the stage he turned to the left and then again to the right after hitting the left barrier. I also got his right leg going up and down for a smoother walk. I did this with Tweener. But then the problems started. I didn't get the left leg also to move up and down.

The chicken got more and more crazy. And now he starts walking backwarsds instead of to the right, as I intended to, after publishing. Who has a better idea of letting this chicken walk or a good hint for functions to be executed when I want? Tweener is good, but maybe not for this? The chicken doesn't have to respond to a mouse action (maybe later), this is the code, for which the walking to the left apparently seems to be executed first....

ActionScript Code:
function walking() {
Tweener.addTween (kip, {x:kip.x+60,
time:1,
transition:"easeInOutQuint",
onComplete:walkingright});
//onStart:walkingrightstart});

The collission with hittest is also not really smooth but I can't think of something else. I am at a stage where I can't develop 3D moving.

Flash 10 :: Auto Format - Maths Functions Not Done In Correct Order

Apr 23, 2011

I have some code that looks like this:
ActionScript Code:
level_btn.x = 50 + (i - 1) % 10 * 50;
It sets the x location of my level button. But this is in a for loop (that's what the 'i' is for.) I run it and everything works perfectly, as it should, not a single problem. Then I press the auto format button in the flash actionscript editor. (It's the button that adds all of the ; to the end of each line and other stuff)

Well that changes my code to this:
ActionScript Code:
level_btn.x = 50 + i - 1 % 10 * 50;
thinking it's done me a favour but it hasn't. It's got rid of the brackets so it won't do the maths functions in the correct order. I've tried adding more brackets in places and other stuff but I just don't know how to fix it. It's annoying because every time I press the auto format button I have to add the brackets in again.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Site Not Loading - Possibly Wrong Framework File?

Oct 4, 2011

The site appears to be loading on some machines, and not on others I can't determine a common theme. In this instance, loading = Splash screen appears, user makes language selection, main site then pre-loads. On a successful load it gets to 100% and displays the website, on a failed load it stalls at 99%.

Tests currently show:
Primary test computer (with problem)
OS: Windows 7
Browsers:Chrome 12
Internet Explorer 8
Firefox 3.6.13

Flash version: Chrome: 10,3,181,35
Internet Explorer: 10,2,159,1 and 10,3,181,34
Firefox: 10,3,181,34

On other machines, it works with Flash versions:
Chrome, Flash version: 10,33,181,35
Internet Explorer, Flash version 10,3,181,34

Since these tests, I've also tried it on a number of other Mac/PC's and haven't found any problems. Steps I have taken so far to try and troubleshoot: Cleared Flash cache and browser cache on machine where site works, and also on machine where site doesn't work. There is a file that doesn't appear to be load (this is showed in Safari on Mac) - framework_3.1.0.2710.swz - initially I thought this to be the problem, but yet the site works on some machines still without this file.

Loading Swf Files In To A Movie, In Order?

Jul 10, 2009

In AC2, I am trying to load .swf files in to a movie.

I know how to load them, and I can load them at random. But what I want to know is, if I have say 500 movies, named movie_0.swf movie_1.swf movie_2.swf etc...

is there a way I can load them ten at a time, in order of highest number to lowest number. In a specific location.

In other words, I want to be able to have many external swf movies, about 400px wide by 100px tall, and load 10 at a time in to a 800px wide by 1200px tall movie, 10 movies at a time, in order of highest to lowest movie name number. Each in a specific place, with a next and precious button to show the next 10 or last 10.

Im basically working on my first site, and want to use something like this so I can show my latest articles first when someone clicks on the articles section of the website.

Now resolved with AS3

PHP Code:

var loaderone:Loader = new Loader();
loaderone.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, loadedone);
loaderone.load(new URLRequest(prefix + totalfiles-- + ".swf"));
function loadedone(one:Event):void
