I try to make a 3d wall gallery using 3dpapervision. My gallery contain photos & video. I can make with the photos, but when I insert the video file ( FLV) there is a error: "Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2124: Loaded file is an unknown type."

View 2 RepliesI have a dae file which includes an animation. I loaded it to papervision, and also i have an embedded video in my scene. The thing i want to do is, running the video and animation both at the same frame rate. Normally, i have a synchronization problem so i wanted to use updateToFrame method in AbstractChannel3D and tried to import current frame rate of the video to dae animation file, to solve this problem. but it doesnt work.

That is when you hold the marker at a z axis(flat) the video plane plays vertically, basically like a hologram playing off a flat surface. I am new to papervision 3d and I cant figure out how to orient the plane to the marker.
View 3 RepliesI am trying to build a portfolio application similar to the used by Whitevoid. I am using Flex 4 and Papervision3D 2. I have everything working except for one issue. When I try to load an external SWF as a material on one of the planes, I can see any native Flex or Flash components in their correct positions, but the papervision objects are not being rendered properly. It looks like the viewport is not being set in the nested swf. I have posted my code for loading the swf below.

Below I have posted two pictures. The first is a shot of the application running by itself. The second is the application as a MovieMaterial on a Plane. You can see how the button created as a spark object in the mxml stays in the correct position, but papervision sphere (which is rotating) is in the wrong location.
I'm trying to preload a external SWF file made with AS3 + Papervision, but I'm getting:

View 3 RepliesI'm working with Collada files and I need them to be a certain size. When instantiating them in pv3d you set the filename, materials, and scale. Scale works like a percentage, and there's no way to get the width, height, or depth of the DAE once in flash. I want to be able to specify the size of DAE in 3D space relative to other pv3d native geometry.

The map works with if I use the .html file in my original folder but all the paths are relative and I'm trying to make this work in an ASP.NET MVC project using visual studio. Can I use addchild & cuepoints in a streamed video to
1. play an external moviclip/swf on top layer with a transparent background? (without affecting original timeline & background video playback)
2. play an external audioclip/mp3/swf that will be "inserted" into original timeline?(thus extending original timeline however long the external
audioclip is)
I make alot of videos and far from pro at AS3. My employer wants to be able to pause the video during production and insert comments at a specific frame. Can this be accomplished with que points or utilizing the progress bar somehow?

View 14 RepliesThe problem here is that I have made a simple loader (by following an online tutorial). Its called loader.swf. Now this works fine for the first main swf. But I want this loader to be called in every time an external swf is loaded.This is how my website works, home.swf is loaded first, called from the complete frame of the loader. Now within home.swf there are three buttons, which load separate external swfs each.For example when you click on about button, it loads about.swf. Now I want to call the loader here, as the swf is heavy, but where do I insert the code and how do I link it to the loader??? However, if I try to put the cursor in one of the second .swf textbox movie, it doesn't work. The focus stays on the object that was calling it.
Also, I want this movie to be non modal so anyone can go back in forth between both application.

Originally, this flex component can be loaded as a standalone flex application with parameters to connect to the appropriate server. But now a customer of mine wants to integrate this flex component (originally inserted in a flex application) in a custom flash application, thus in .fla file using Adobe Flash CS4.
I've seen that it was possible to integrate a flash animation created with Adobe Flash CS4 in a flex application. But what I need to do is the opposite.
