ActionScript 3.0 :: Play Wipeup Effect When Remove Canvas From Viewstack Options?

This is the sample code of what we are using in my project The way which we are using to apply effect when using removeAllchildren from viewstack.Requirement is when i click on second button the canvas which i was created dynamically has to remove with wipe up effect how can i put effect with using removeAllChildren method.
In my example below, when I click "Add Content", new stack content is loaded into the ViewStack as expected. But when I then click "Close Content", I'm expecting it to close the newly created content inside the ViewStack and switch to the "defaultContent" content.
In my flash application I draw in data from an XML. This data is for example 6 lines long in 1 language, but could be 20 in a different language. However the textbox on the screen can only populate 10 lines of text and I'd like to give the option to users to press the arrows to go to the next page (if there is a next page).What are my options to get this 'page'-effect?
I'm working with cart software called PinnacleCart. It's a pretty good system, I use it mainly because of the flexibility in the attributes fields, and our products require alot of customization. The obvious solution here is to add in a Flash customizer, to make it easier for prospective clients to see the changes being made to the items. Inside of the cart software I can select images to upload. I thought about stripping out the validation so I can upload .swf files (edit the product page php to embed if it's a swf file) and go from there.
Now here is the tough part, for usability reasons I want to remove all the actual attribute options - So the logic is simple, if SWF = true then don't display attributes. So, from here I assume when the person clicks 'add to cart' I need to run some javascript to grab the attributes from flash, assign them to the javascript attributes, then proceed as normal.
On my website: www.iferanart.com under the animations tab I have several animations that I embeded using Flash's premade option: "SkinOverPlay SeekStop.swf" player. The only change made to it was the color.My problem is that, as you can see when you go to the website and click on an animation, there are no play options at all.I have no idea what to do to fix this because when I publish preview they are there...but once I loaded the website to the server..nothing. The website is coded in AS3, built with Flash CS4.
Im building a program that queries a database for options and displays the options in a number of comboBoxes. The comboBoxes are dynamically built and loaded via code and added to the stage. I would like to build the comboBoxes into a single movie clip (maybe not the correct wording) so I can use options like tweening and such to make it look better. The code is below.
Is it possible to have a context menu on a multiple frame movie with all the options except next, prev and play..?I want to have zoom in/out but not next/prev..

I want to dynamically add different items to thumbContent canvas and use scroller canvas to scroll. I see than the height of thumbContent bigger than 7977 it truncate from scrolling. So - I see the scroller canvas with empty space on top. Then I scroll to bottom - I see the content of thumbContent and at bottom scrolling I see empty space too.
I'm trying to skin a canvas with an image (which is essentially a custom border for the canvas). I've been trying the backgroundImage style as well as the borderSkin style. I can't get the image to scale to the full size of the canvas though. I was wondering what the best way to go about this is.[code]...
The problem is that every snowflake is created over everything else on the stage and I need to hide all snowflakes for some frames to make transmission between two scenes.Transmission is transparent black rectangle over the scene and alpha is slowly going to 100%... but the snowflakes are visible over the black rectangle - how to remove them all ?
I want to rotate the object on these axes, but it's causing a problem in that I want to flip the image 180 degrees only, however the image becomes mirrored when it flips and you must continue rotating another 180 degrees to get it back to normal.
Is there a way to take off the image mirror when rotating something?
Basically I want to go to frame2 when the cursor leaves the canvas. The code below contains no errors when tested but it still does not work.

We know that the function gotoAndStop(frame2); works in multiple situations which means the first 3 line is fine. I don't know if the problem is the MOUSE_LEAVE event or this.stage which i suppose is the identifier for the canvas. I sure that there must be an alternative code for the identifier this.stage or the whole code. Any solution on how to fire the given function in the event when the cursor leaves the canvas?

Say I design multiple movieclips (snow for Christmas, pumpkins for halloween, fireworks for bonfire night etc) can I use AS to detect the users local date and call the relevant symbol to rain down?
I've put a blur effect on the hit state of a button, but the script for the button is On Release Go to and Play the scene I wan't it to skip to. So as soon as the button is clicked it does what it's told and the blur effect (16 frames long) doesn't get to play.
I could not play the parallel effect which is defined by the following code:

On playin the effect by calling effect() function only the effect E1 is getting played. If the code was:
In one function I am calling the play method on an effect and in another I am calling the reverse method. The play method works but the reverse method does not. It appears that the propertyChangesArray is used to store the previous effect start values but that property is null when calling reverse.
Im an aspiring flash game developer struggling with a bit of code in my upcoming game, I want to play a sound(A "ding") everytime the main character touches a cookie on stage. The main character follows the mouse cursor, and the cookies fall down from the sky.

And I was hoping it would go into the library and play the sound bit named "bellSound" but it doesnt do this, instead nothing happends, not even any errors under the "Compiler errors" So no im a bit lost, as I do not know how to make this work, so a sound is played when the main character touches the cookie.
I'm removing a component from the WindowedApplication, using removeChildAt(), and want to play an effect (defined within the component, say mx:Resize) which reduces the height of the component (an hbox) to 0 before it is removed.
I was using the removedFromStage event within the component, but it just disappears (without playing the effect). I guess it's being removed before the effect is played. Is there a way to play the effect, which is preferably defined in the component, before the removeChild function completes?

I already get the play and pause fuction (that's all i need). I just want to add an image to show when the video still not playing in and pause. If the video played the image will disappear and if pause the image will appear.

I have a panel with a button in it. Clicking on the button will direct the panel to state "State2" adding another two buttons into the panel. During the state change, I want the panel to resize first and then show the newly added two buttons, so I applied transitions onto the state change.
My question is:
If I put the two buttons within a HBox directly under the addChild tag, it works fine. However, if I create a new component with the same code (HBox with two buttons in it) and then add the new component to the panel (Comp in the code commented), it won't show the resize effect.
I'm completely new to AS3. Being completely new to actionscripting I found a tutorial on how to create a typewriter effect, which I have successfully made into a movie clip. My problem is that I want to stop the movie for the typewritten text to appear and make the movie pause for a pre-defined number of seconds and hereafter continue to the next scene or frame or whatever is the most easy. I have bought a flash template in which I want to incorporate into another movie but I need to remove the preloader and button control. So in other words as soon as I preview it, it should play automatically without first seeing a preloader or having to click on a button to play the movie.
