View 1 Repliesim looking for a script that can record audio from a mic and save it to a fms server i came across a video email script but would like to have just a audio one that can do the samething as the video email with out the video part.
View 2 RepliesI have to a problem using the Flash Media Interactive Server Feature Explorer. I want use the sample: RecordStream. I can see the instance "RecordStream" in console FMS 3.5. and show me the video in app AIR, but does not save the .FLV in my server.
View 6 RepliesI have a flash file sitting inside of a web page in our company domain. There is another server (used to store images) that is part of the domain but is not running any web services (for security reasons). A folder on the images server is however shared in such a way that any site on the web server can display images from the images server as long as the user is plugged into the domain. For example, both I and my boss can pull up a web site on the web server and see all the information, but only he can see the images
because I have Vista Basic and no domain support. This is done via "<img src='\serverNamedirectory.'/>"
That's ok, but on this particular instance I don't want to display the image on the webpage, I want it in a SWF on the page. However the SWF can't seem to load the images even though the page it's sitting in could. I've tried tons of variations of URLRequests and Loaders, most resulting in security errors. Since most of the online discussions about these errors revolve around cross-domain access, I can't seem to find any tech support for our specific situation.
I have what I'm sure is a very basic flash question. I have a flash movie (swf) and the accompanying fla file. I can open the fla file, and see all the images used in the file (symbols in the library), but how can I export or save one of these images separately from flash?
View 3 RepliesI was wondering if it was possible to automatically save images captured from a web cam instead of using buttons.[code]...
What I want to do is instead of the button to save the image, I want it once the button is clicked to capture the image to automatically save it to a folder as well.
i have in fla library button with instance name: _btnSave, and use for button Save function this code:
Code:
private function onSave(e:MouseEvent):void
{
var temp:BitmapData = new BitmapData(_imageManager.width, _imageManager.height,

I want to create a image application in flash, but trying to map out the complexity of it!
Step 1: I want the user to upload a image
Step 2: The user can choose a separate background image
Step 3: The user can manipulate the image to make it fit with the background
Step 4: Export as one image as a profile picture on facebook or just the desktop
This is kind of like the yearbookyourself.com application if you have seen it=)
I have an Air application with remote service in codeigniter. I'm trying to save a bytearray that I received from the Air app but when I save the data I get empty files with the correct filename.So there must be something wrong with my bytearray or the way I save the data. Does anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong? I've debugged the Arraycollection I sent and the bytearray is definitely in there.This is where I make my arraycollection to send to my codeigniter amf
ActionScript Code:
var ldr:Loader = Loader(event.target.loader);
var b:Bitmap = Bitmap(ldr.content);[code]....

Has anybody out there made a similar application?
Is there any easy way how to save data to the server from running flash application? For example i would like to save map 2d array to xml file on the server. I know that i should be done thru php script but i searched everywhere could not find how to realize this thru AS3.
View 1 Replieswhat I'm looking for is a tutorial on how to save a MC directly to my server. So let me explain this. The user will click on a button inside my flash application and it will save the MC straight into a folder on my server (as a jpeg), so it can be accessed later on.Is this even possible?
View 1 RepliesI know that most of the media in web pages are temporarily stored to a temp folder or browser cache. Some are directly embedded in web pages so that we can see the source and can save them. But how to save images loaded using any other method? You can see what I am talking about here. Is there any solution to save images from this site's gallery?
View 3 Repliesas3corelib functionality is awesome and I have used the great tutorial at Henry Jones.com to create an example with a quick interface...

Now this is a bit wierd here because it works on 70% of location tests but seems to be dependant on the internet provider allowing uploads. It doesn't work at my mates house but works at work and my house etc...
The second thing is that I need to know what the as is to save the mask to the server instead of downloading it to your machine.
I plan to create a level editor for the game I currenty work on. Thats no problem at all, but I have no idea, how i could save data for the maps into a server from the .swf and get them back at a later point.And I also would like to know, what kind of a server I would need. Are free ftp servers enough for stuff like this, or are they useless?
View 6 Replies1) Is it possible to save FLV file(s) outside of the FMS?
2) How to move FLV file(s) from the FMS?
I need to take a picture with a web cam and save it in the server.
View 2 RepliesI now know that it is impossible to save a swf over a virtual server (in real time) which has had its text changed dynamically. But does this apply to webcam video? What I mean is, if I allow someone to use my app on the internet, and this app allows them to record a video using their webcam, can they then save this swf to their computer?
View 1 RepliesI have a Flash Application that sends an image (using as3corelib) to a PHP script that previews it in the browser, which works! But, I would actually like it to permanently save it the a server folder (uploads, etc.) instead of temporarily saving it. I can't find the right variable in the PHP that actually sends the image to a server so it could save it.
<?php
switch ($_POST["format"]) {
case 'jpg':

I create an area within the site where a user can manually create something from a list of objects, if I, say, wanted to save this data as a number of variables to the server ie- a new row containing all the data unique to that saved item, does anyone know the best method of doing this, I'd figure it'd be XML but resource seems a bit sparse in this area.

Heres a code I used, taken from [url]... showing how to manipulate a movieclip, convert it to a jpeg and download it.
Basically, I need to upload the movieclip to a server rather than download it to the computer.
I thought simply loading an image from jpg_encoder_download.php?name=sketch.jpg using an external image code would have done the trick, but this is registering as a php not a jpg obviously.[code]...
