ActionScript 3.0 :: Sling Or Catapult - (Drag On The Ball Release It And Its Shoots)

I want to make a basket ball. Drag on the ball release it and its shoots far depending on how far you drag it back.. Anyone have a quick code to share?
1 : click on the square to make duplicate movies of the ball. 2) which can be dragged to the trash can, to be discarded, but the problem I�m having is that I when I hit the square after the first time I drag a ball to the trashcan, it appears on top of the trashcan, and not where I want it to, yet the next time I hit the button it�s fine.
I have an HD video that I shot of curtains or drapes opening and closing. I would like to make something in Flash where someone could click one side of the curtain and pull it open. When they release the mouse it should close back. In the video both sides open at the same time so I'm not sure if I can make the sides independent or not. If I can do this I may also want to make a version where the curtain stays where they released it.After I make a web version I am going to try to turn it into an app for a smart phone. The online use with a mouse is way more important at this time.

When I play, it starts and stops dragging nicely. But it will not advance the frame. If I try something else like getUrl, that works fine too. gotoandPlay does nothing as well, though. What am I missing? This is Flash MX2004, as2.
i m developing a seekbar which user can drag to the end of the movie. its working but when the user drag the seek bar and release it , it stops on the current frame. and do not go further.
There's no problem in my computer at work on this issue. When I press on something that is draggable, it's dragged. When I realease it (or realease it outside), it stops being dragged. But it does happen in my boss' computer! what a coincidence! It happens to be something related to very quick double clicks. Sometimes, the draggable movieclip gets stuck to the mouse movement even if it has been released. Is there something to take control on this? or is it any issue from an old version of the flash plugin?
I have an FLA that "erases" an image to reveal something below, at which point the cursor (an eraser bitmap) needs to be released in order for the user to use it to click a print button. You can click the print button with the erase function cursor, but I feel like it is not good user interface. The AS below should delete the eraser cursor and advance to another frame but it isn't.
I am trying to recreate an effect like the clouds on[url]...I would like to be able to click and drag on an object then once mouse is released the object would dynamically return to start position. I am struggling to get my script (AS3) to dynamically return it to original location.
i wanna ask how do i make a ball bounce off something like a ball bouncing off a bumper in a pinball game? i've tried a lot of times but everytime the ball get stucked to the box and it doesn't move anymore...will be grateful if anyone noes the actionscript of it..
ball collision inside another ball using gravity.I have one large circle in the middle of the stage (its radius is 150 pixels). I have another circle inside of that one (20 pixels radius), this is the smaller ball that I would like to have bounce around inside of the larger one with gravity. When the small ball hits the edge of the larger circle, I would like it bounce inwards to the center of the larger circle. It keeps doing this until it eventually stops in the center of the larger circle at the bottom.
Underlined Text On (rollOver) Is there an action script to do on (rollover) underline text? It would be on a button that would also, on (release) gotoAndPlay a frame. I know you can have a movie with AS like this:

But when I add the on (release) to the movie it doesnt advance the timeline on (release). And when I change the file to a button instead of a movie clip it doesnt do the underline on (rollOver).
I am pretty new to action script 3 (I did a little bit in as2) and i am trying to create a laser gun that rotates towards the mouse and shoots when the mouse is fired.
I created a SWC which is a simple MovieClip that contains some TLF text fields. I have embedded the font using the Flash Professional IDE. When instance this Class in my main app

I really need a Timer that shoots multiple functions. The Timer Class just handles one function and therefore is not good enough for my project. The Timer should work something like this:
After 1 seconds fire functionOne After 4 seconds fire functionTwo ...and so on...
Time is really crucial in my project (down to milliseconds) so I really can't use the Timer Class and fire "new" Timers all the time because Flash needs some milliseconds to process all the code and in the end it sums up to kind of a lot of time.
In my side-scrolling game, I am trying to create blow darts which the player shoots. Of course, I want the darts to start where the Player is and then the darts move in their directions.

I have like a bullet shooting thing which shoots bullets (obviously), and it sorta rotates around a point and fires at a movie clip. At the moment the bullets move outwards because of a animation in side the bullet movie clip, but how can I make them move outwards and away from the thing that fired them using actionscript?
I'm working on a small application that uses some throw physics to fling items around the stage. Everything is working as it should, apart from when I test it on my touch screen, the throw physics don't work. I've tried all sorts of things, in in those tests noticed that AS2 release and release outside do work on the screen perfectly, whereas mouse up and mouse out do not!
So, is there a way to emulate the AS2 mouse events in AS3, as I have to stick with AS3 this time.
I want to have an image and when I click on the image ,one can hold down the mouse and drag a copy to where ever on the stage and when one lets go, one can drag another and another with each copy still being able to be dragged after released.this is what i have but its pretty simple and doesn't work....

I have a function that states when movieclip1 is dragged and hits a line then it stops the drag, however it seems to stop the entire drag function in the swf on the other movieclips even though they arent called in the function.[code]
Im trying to do a drag and drop system where the user can drag a movie clip into an area. Although i would like to make it snap to a target instead of just sitting wherever it lands in the area. Problem Two:
The next thing i am trying to do is when the user has a movie clip on a target already, and trys to put another movie clip in that target area, it will replace the one thats in there and go back to its current position. Here is the script of what i have done so far:
I have some movie clips. i want to drag all clips when i drag single movie clip. Ex. I have movie clips "A1", "A2", "A3", "A4", "A5" . Randomly visible some of them. Suppose "A1", "A3", "A4" has visible. When i will drag "A1" movie clip all these "A3", "A4" also move with "A1".
What's the code to start drag and stop drag. I would also like to know what's the code to detect if the object has been dropped on something. I know the code in AS2 but i cant figure it out in AS3.
I am very new to AS3 and I am running into some issues creating a simple class that will allow you to drag and drop and object but then also scale when it is over a hit area. Here is my current code:
i have load in a .swf and this .swf is make up of one drag object. When i load into my _level0, i can drag it but it seem then the drag is not smooth, instead it is lagging. Thus i went back to the indiviual files and try to drag on it and it was not lagging. ...why is it like that? All the files are still on my local disk.
