ActionScript 3.0 :: Transmitting Image From Application To Flash?

i'm trying to send a specific image (extracted from a png file using C#), from a C# application to the flash player.
I do this by:
-extracting the ARGB (Alpha,Red,Green,Blue) values of image
-storing these in a byte array
-transferring to the flash player using sockets
-using LoadBytes to read the ByteArray
LoadBytes however gives me an error message "unknown file type".
Now, I'm guessing that this could be because the bytes are not encoded as png. (I don't know how to do this)
I have an array placed in movieclip which I am using to store the x and y values of other movieclip clips. The values work when the clip initially loads (it moves the targeted clips to the assigned positions) but when I reset the positions of the clips in the array (using another button) then I hover over the array assigned button 'portfolio_btn' nothing happens.

I'm doing an app for the next st valentin's day and I'm using the Facebook API. The idea is that the user will be able to take a picture with it's own webcam and then edit that photo for to send it to a friend from facebook. But I can't find a tutorial about to edit an image (a bitmap) in the application. Can you tell me how can I do it? I want to edit the bitmap on the same app, like add a frame around the picture and maybe add a message too.
I'm trying to save an image to the application directory by opening a file stream and write the bytes from a bitmap data. I added some events listeners for testing the file stream process but I don't receive any response event. [code]...
I'm having a difficult time finding any ActionScript that will do the trick of saving an image during runtime.
It's a Flash application where the user can design something, then send it in (to me) for publishing (I figured the best way to do that would be to take a picture JPEG of their finished design using some sort of ActionScript and then save it to my Web Server). I have an AIR app that gets bundled with XML files that the app needs. These get put into the APP Storage Directory, of course. Works great. But when I install a new version ( which includes new XML files) , the new files don't get added or overwrite the ones from the previous version. It seems that if that directory is there from a previous install, the installer will ignore the part where it moves included files.

Currently i'm developing a facebooks apps with falsh application. i've have completed the development with all API required to run a facebook apps. Everything went well and it's live now. My question :
1. How can make user to go directly to the application page everytime they click the link posted by user who already use the application instead going to the canvas page applications. i'm been trying to look for the article that support saying that user will go directly to application directly to canvas application page instead of going to the application page.
I need to make my Flash application create a connection to a remote application and have the remote application send periodic updates to my Flash animation. The remote app is written in VB 6, and does not support XML sockets. However, I don't need the ability to send or receive XML since I am going to be overriding the onLoad() event anyway.
Or maybe I do need that ability... I'm having trouble getting my onLoad() event to trigger. Right now I'm just testing the onLoad event like this:

So, basically I'm trying to find out how I can format the data I'm sending it so that the onLoad() event triggers. I've read that the XMLSocket object listens for the Null byte, so perhaps the data I'm sending it doesn't terminate properly. I need a persistent connection from Flash to the VB app because the VB app will be the one initiating the updates to the Flash application. Is the XMLSocket the way to go here, or is there another class of objects that I'm missing?
EDIT: I just needed to add: import mx.controls.Image. I have an MXML file, and when I can add image tags to the XML and it works.But, I can't figure out how to create an image and add it to the canvas programatically with AS.

Is there any application which can relay another application on Flash Media server? For exmaple I have a "live" application on the server. I want another application, "liverelay" which can basically relay what is coming on the "live" application. Is it possible? If so how can I implement it? Looking forward to a response.

Do you know is it possible to start iPad application from another application that is developed in Flash? I need to create small iPad app with two buttons (and some graphics/animation) in Flash. Clicking on those buttons, another iPad application should be started. My guess is that will use ExternallInterface, but I don't know what to send :)

I created flex application that loads a image. I compiled this app and ran in the computer where it was created. it works. when i try in a different system, the image does not load. I think it's chekcing for the image path.how to include image as part of the application

creating a simple paint application in Flash. My issue however, is being able to export the image from Flash and either uploading it to a server, or saving to desktop. I have Flash CS3, and a PHP server.I've looked around at bitmap exporters and such but I was wondering if there was anything already out there, such as source code? Which mime-type should i use to embed .jxr images? In the list of supported mime-types i find nothing new.I tried to load jxr image, but application does not recognize this format.All i receive - a lot of different errors.

My embedded images show up in the Flex Builder Design Preview, but are not displayed when the application is run. The images have relative paths (/assets/images/...), and the application is run on the server (wamp). I've appended the path to the compiled location [URL] and tried to display a image in the browser, and the image exists, too. I've compiled it via FlashDevelop, Flex Builder, and Ant. I've deleted and remade the bin/bin-debug/release/bin-release files to no avail.
I am making a basic app but am not sure where to start. This is what I want to accomplish in 3 steps:
1. The user has an option to choose 1 of 6 images for the background. 2. The user uploads an image that meets requirements 3. The uploaded image is skewed/scaled and placed on top of the background image in the appropriate place.

i have a mobile application that i am creating in Adobe Flex (Flash Builder 4), and i am trying to create a zoom function. The one i have works, but the point is to be able to more easily read words that are in the image (the images are .jpg files). The images are 2550x3300 originally, but as soon as you zoom, the image quality reduces drastically, and nothing is readable.
I have a flex 3 application that creates an Image from a canvas which the user draws on. I use the ImageSnapshot class to create the image

I want the user to be able to print or save the image. I can use the following code to print the image but flex does not provide good control over printing across multiple pages

I would like to display the image in a browser window so that the user could print it using the built in browser functionality or right click on the image and save it. Can this be done without requesting server side code to do it?
