I'm completely new to programming in PHP. I finally got the Flash/ PHP mailer working as demonstrated on this site ([URL]). Now I'm just trying to figure out how to block out blank forms... and possibly do email verification.

So i have an external as file which have a function. the function make the movie clip do something when it hit another object which i named "block."
but the external as file can't accses "block" movie clip which's added from the fla files and given an instance name as "block".
I got this:- I created a form mailer .fla and Im using php (loadVariables("action.php", OST");- everything works great, if I embed the swf into html.My problem:- I created a main .fla, where Im using a container for the form mailer .swf- in this case, the action.php file (residing in the same folder with the .swf files) doesnt compile anymore, so, mails wont be sent.

the USERNAME value is for me to add my formbuddy username after i have signed up with [URL] .Now my problem is that i dont know how to put the hidden fields in flash, especially the <input type="hidden" name="username" value="USERNAME">. So how do i do it? And yes, i have seen all the tutorials they have here about the form mailers. I also tryed to put the the hidden fields has variables in flash which again did'nt work....
I'm creating my first Flash website using AS3, and it's really basic. I would like to put in a contact form, which I have made. I've converted the 3 fields (name_field, email_field and message_field) to a symbol (movie) called 'form'. I've also got a send button, which is called send_btn.
I've set up the Action Script so that when the button is clicked, the user is taken to a confirmation-style page. All I want to do is called a php script (I'm comfortable with the code for that) called 'mailer.php' and send the three variables from the form to it before then loading the confirmation page.

I can type them in the form but when I read the email after sending it to my mailbox the email appears with strange, unreadable marks.I have tried putting some code in the email.php like:[code]I was reading on the Internet about converting / setting charset in Flash or php (eg. I followed this tutorial for a form mailerHowever when I try to load this from my main swf into a movie clip holder, it no longer works. It only wants to work by itself, im a novice at flash/actionscript but im wondering if this is causing the problem by trying to get to the root of my main movie instead of the actual mailer.swf?

Problems:
I don't know how to link the text to the appropriate website when they are verified. EX: "You may enter" linking to the site. "You are not of age" linking to disney.com or something.
Also, when there are no digits entered, it verifies the user of age.

I can get my parent movie (flash website) to "loadMovie(ADOBEmediaGallery.swf)" just fine, but what I would like to do is incorperate a LOGIN (username/password) into media-gallery.fla BEFORE it loads.
I can make the text boxes/button, etc, but I need a little help with the actionscript/PHP/mySQL. I've found some older tutorials on that, but I don't know how to make the ADOBEmediaGallery.fla WAIT for the Login Verification BEFORE loading...

I'm having a hard time getting my virtual pinpad to output to the input text field. In the zip there's a safe, in order to open the safe you must get the right combo...the issue I'm having is i don't even know where to start with the code. I want to be able to push one of the buttons and have it output to the text field...and if the combo is right which in this case is going to be "23012" i want it to go to and stop at frame 2...and if its wrong i want it to start over.
The green button should be the enter button. and i want the red button to be the clear all button.

I have a flash and php based mail form that needs to have the fields verified. So when a user does not insert info in the text fields, an error clip will play. The form works fine without the verification of fields, but I want to prevent from receiving blank emails. I'm building an array of JPEG files from an XML file. I need a way to verify that the file exists on the server as it build the array. If it's not there I want to substitute another file name in it's place: default.jpg. Using loadVars I came up with this code.... which won't work:

I posted this on the FLASH forum but the only answer I got was that it can't be done and I should use a server-side script. Flash should be able to tell if a load failed or not..yes.
If I place an set of FMS servers behind some reverse proxy caches, will I get problem with SWF verification if the cache layer caches the .f4m meta data file with the SWF verification data? Is there any documented best practice on the requirements to build large scale deployment with security enabled?

I've tried deleting certificates, provisions over and over. I've tried to export only the key, only the certificate and both of them. I extract the .ipa and compress it into an zip. I've tried everything but it doesn't seem to work.
I want to make a code verification form. Those forms that generate an image which you have to read and type down the code in it. I want to have AS generate a random set of letters and numbers in an unselectable textField. That will be the generated bitmap (not a bitmap actually, but... ). I also want that randomly generated set of letters and numbers to be written down in a variable so that I can compare the variable with the input field of the user to test if it is ok. How to randomly generate that?

I made a guestbook with PHP and XML and my contact form with PHP, but the server I am using doesn't accept files with php, asp, js, html, or htm extensions. They are using godaddy's WebSite Tonight built-in website builder currently. They want to keep the original site for backup but cannot export the current website files because of the website builder application. Is there any way I get make a guestbook without php, asp, js, or html?

But the verification only works for 2 field. The code is exactly the same for the other but it doesn't work. View 4 RepliesI have two servers running FMS 4 (exacyly the same version). On one server, when i add a swf in the folder application/vod/SWFs, the swf is "added" 5 minutes later as authorized swf, according to the UpdateInterval config value. On the other i have to restart the server. I checked every config file of both server, they are exactly the same (except few values depending on the servers themselves, of course, like IP, host, etc...).Anyone has an idea on what could be the problem on the first server? This is very annoying since a restart disconnects all my customers!
