Cannot Get SWF With Imported Video To Play On Server?
Jan 10, 2011
I am having an issue trying to get an SWF that features an imported video to play on our web server from its URL. About six months ago, I didn't have this issue. The only thing that has changed since then is that I have gone from Mac (Snow Leopard) to PC (Windows 7). I am using CS 5. I've attempted to perform that same action on the Mac in CS 4 without success.
I do as I usually do: import the video (in this case an MP4 or F4V) into a Flash file and add a skin using Flash's "Import Video" function. I publish the file as an SWF and can get it to play on my hard drive. Once I place it on the web server, I can get the file to play by browsing to the server's contents in Windows Explorer and clicking on the SWF file. However, when I attempt to access the movie via its URL, the file will not play. The skin I chose shows up, but the status bar in between the "play" and "stop" buttons just looks like it's loading continuously.
I've tried importing the video in several different formats, always with the same result. At first, I thought it was the MP4 file, but then I used Adobe Media Encoder to encode it into an F4V file with the same results. Everything plays fine locally (even from the web server). But when I attempt to access the video by its URL, it simply won't play.
We have imported our video into flash cs4 (we are using presentation mode to mimic a powerpoint presentation), we have gone into the component inspector and altered it so it doesn't autoplay. When it is on autoplay, it plays the audio throughout the entire presentation. We want the video to start on click (hit the spacebar or return or anything).
I have an *.flv file on a FMS. When I play it on the client side the video plays just fine, but when I call Stream.play(filename, 0, -1, false) on the server side the video turns out really choppy.I both cases I use NetConnection to connect to an rtmp and NetStream to play the stream, but in one case I connect to a stream and request the server to play my file on that stream. Apparently that doesn't work with files? It works just fine for live streams.
the question is,a client which can use "rtmfp" to connect to a FMS server, and the connecting success,Whether Can not guarantee that the client can play the Multicast video? because the client may be behind a Special firewall So he may connect to the FMS server ,but can not use P2P to connect to the members those are in the group?
If the answer is "yes",Whether i should make a check function that make these client back to "RTMP"?
i want to know if it is possible to play a video via flash player, when the video is located on different server's mysql. for example: i want to play video on [URL] which(video) is located in [URL] mysql
i have a linux machine with two NICs, one for Apache/PHP (port 80) and the other for FMS 4 (ports 1935, 80). I need to use RTMPT over port 80 due to our organization wireless network restrictions. I think i have set up everything right, but we cannot see any video using the wifi clients. Apparently, the problem disappears when opening the firewall and allowing port 1935 traffic.
is it possible to play recorded video file which is stored in another room(instance)? for example, I have file "video.flv" on the server at "/streams/room1" if user is connected to room2, can he ask flash media server to play "video.flv" from the room1; something like this, client side:
var ns:NetStream = new NetStream(nc); ns.play("../room1/video", 0);
I'm trying to get Flex Builder 3 to play a live video stream with Flash Media Server and Flash Live Media Encoder.
I'm able to stream pre-recrorded (vod) flvs in flex from flash media server. I'm able to stream live video using Flash/FMS/Flas Live Media Encoder, but not with Flex.
This code streams pre-recorded Video on Demand flvs, but not live streams: If I change source to "rtmp://localhost/live/livesream.flv, I get nothing.
start a video playing from a precise point in time?Using rtmp protocol to stream a video:rtmp:\my-servervodmy-video.mp4is it possible to use a similar form, as the following:rtmp:\my-servervodmy-video.mp4 =00:20:21to start video file from that point?

is it possible to play video stream from non-adobe(or homebrew server), in the newest flash player(10).It looks like the VideoPlayer only plays the stream from FMS? Is it the business model of Adobe?
Same file streamed from FMS4 (same on 3.5) with rtmp protocol has very poor quality compared to real file quality. Is there some low level configuration to do on Flash Server? Is the streaming server making some kind of transcoding before sending the stream? Or it can be Flash Player? Tried unchecking "hardware acceleration" but nothing changes. I am on a local gigabit network, so no network bottlenecks. Video seems very pixelated on the edges (not soft/antialiased). These are the file details:
if I repeat this IIS topic, I couldn't find the answer to my problem any where on the internet. I installed FMS Dev 3.5 on Win 2003 Server with IIS 6.0 enabled. I don't have any issue with port 80 Listening, I used the IP address 192.168.0.21 for my web application (IIS) and 192.168.0.22 for FMS (I only have one network card and port 1935 is open under firewall). I can play the sample videos (RTMP, HTTP, and Dynamic Stream) using the Flash Media Start Screen (or from the location C: Program FilesAdobe Flash Media Server 3.5webrootindex.html) without any problem.
I then modified the IIS Default Website to look at the "webroot" folder (C: Program FilesAdobe Flash Media Server 3.5webroot). From IE, I can access the default web site by enter http://192.168.0.21/index.html. The website loads up correctly, and the RTMP video is playing perfectly. However, if I click Play Video (HTTP) or Dynamic Stream (tab), I receive "Connection Error. Please press Play to try again." I look at the log file (access.01.log) and see the error log "Session disconnect
I'm trying to record video from the users webcam and play it back at a later date. I call
[Code]...
However, when I look at the FMS Admin Console at the streams in app/_definst_, their types are either "NetStream" or "Live". If they were being saved wouldn't they say "Stored"? After I close the application doing the recording, the "NetStream" type stream disappears, and after a while all the "Live" typed streams are gone too. Nothing is saved.
I have no idea what is happening. I don't know if it's a problem with my AS3 code not closing the recording properly or if I'm doing something else wrong, or maybe somethgin isn't right in the FMS?
Writing RTMP Streaming Server for streaming AVC+AAC video. And it works fine with rtmpdump. But I can't force it to work in flowplayer and other flash video players. The message sequence after handshake is similar to FMS / RED5 / erlyvideo / haxevideo servers: I've tried a lot of variations.
From Chrome debug console I can see, what all negotiating messages passed to the flowplayer. The last one is onMetaData. And after this the working sample (rtmp://flash.tvwmedia.net/LiveVideo//Live300) gets NetStream.Buffer.Full. And streaming from my server don't get it.
I'm starting with AVC Header message, containing sps/pps. After it first AVC picture passed. After - AAC header and AAC sample. And then AVC/AAC samples. This dumped OK by rtmpdump - I have working flv on exit. But flowplayer and others does not work.
I have imported a gif but it does not play correctly. It's only two frames. The first bmp associated with the gif in the library has both slides combined while the second bmp is correct. To show the issue I am having. Here is the 2frame gif playing correctly:[URL]Now here is a screen shot of my library:[URL] You can see how the highlights bmp is incorrect. When I play the gif in Firefox,IE, Ulead gif animator or anywhere else it is fine but in Flash it shows that first frame with the combined slides and then the 2nd slide correctly. It ruins the "dancing effect" I'm going for.
I am wondering if there is a way in as 2.0 to allow flash to auto-execute an attachMovieClip (in the next frame) at the end of an imported video file? a 2 minute timer delay could potentially have flaws, and doesn't seem correct.the goal is this:- choose a language- attach imported video in selected language- at the end, go to the menu of the specified language. The auto-attach at the end of the movie is all I have left to do, and I am uncertain about it.
I'm using OSMF v.95 to handle my video playback. When my streaming videos finish, the following error is triggered:"NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound"I want to be able to re-play the videoor scrub back, but the stream is unusable after that error.I've tested against a few different streams - here is one:
1- I imported an flv video file with "file->import->import video" and then put the object on the stage on a precise frame ( 71 and 79 ). Around the object player I created a transparent button as wide as the stage (67-82) which clicked brings you to another frame(2).The problem is that this work is a site and if you click on the transparent button you see a frame with contents but the movieclip playing is still on and user still ear the music and experience the bandwidth slow down. What I want to do is something like: movieclipinstancename.stop(); to stop the movie playing.
2- I'm triyng to understand the best way to import or use a movieclip, using AS3.
I have an application that is showing an imported mp4 with the playback component. The video is to be displayed at a fixed size on the interface. When I launch the app it works perfect. However this is a projector file that I need to launch in fullscreen mode.
I imported multiple flvplayback videos on my file via the Video Wizard Import. After that I removed all videos except one. But it's still trying to load those old video and the skin of their player when I preload the file. I am sure there's no player on the stage except the one I need. And when I need to play the file, it's working well, the only problem is the extra loading for 6 skins that I don't use anymore and the time to look for 6 videos that are not there. So here're my questions;
1-When you import a video via Wizard, it there a script hidden somewhere that can be found? 2-When you import a flv to the stage, there's a loading bar saying getting metadata. Is there a place to edit or erase this metadata ?
3-Any other ideas of where I could look to find this hidden data or trace or ghost that needs to be remove from the file ?
I do animation as a hobby on youtube (using a combination of Adobe Photoshop, Sony Vegas, and a few other programs for specifics such as morphing and mouth movements), and I was recently contacted by someone who wanted me to do some work for their website by making animation. The catch is, however, that they want my videos to be in flash format with the option to start playing (and repeat) when a person rolls over the scenes with their mouse.
Now, I was able to figure out how to convert my videos into Flash F4V format (yea!), but I can't figure out for the life of me what to do next. All of the tutorials I've read talk about inserting buttons and changing instances and setting things to over and... it doesn't make a lick of sense to me.
I'm not a dummy... but I've never used this program before, and a lot of the videos out there seem to assume a familiarity with the product.
It "sounds" like it should be something easy and simple enough to do, but I must be missing something obvious here.
I am trying to import a .flv video to my flash websiteI do it by choosing the "Progressive download from a webserver" optionIn the .swf file generated, the video runs normally , but when I run my website trough the index.html file and I goto the page where It is supposed to be, the video doesnt show up, as if it never existedI dont know what may be hapenning
i want to import a .wmv file in flash. when a play button is pressed, that video file should be played. but i want the video to be paused when (preferrably) the same play button is pressed again.
so:
-how to pause an imported video file?
-how to control both play and pause of the video with the same button?
Is there anyway to use the playback components to play a video imported into the library? (The .swf I'm creating has to be stand alone so I need the video to be imported). Also can the component video skins be imported also?
