Flash Window Disappears Off-screen?

When I open Flash CS3 to create something,if the Flash window is not maximized, it disappears off the right side of the screen(s).If I maximize the window using the task bar, it's fine,but it covers up the other resources I need to use. I'm using Vista Business and Flash CS3 with two screens, the extended one on the right.
Right-click the Flash button on the taskbar and select Move.What happened: When I use the arrow keys, nothing appears to happen.When I move the mouse, the arrow pointer comes in from the extreme right side of the screen.When I hold the mouse button down and drag, a four-headed arrow appears at the extreme right, but the Flash window does not appear .Reboot. What happened: Flash is still off the screen unless maximized.
What happened: I found a registry hack that I tried (next item) but it didn't work.Use Regedit to modify settings (after exiting Flash): HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Adobe > Flash 9 > Settings > WindowThe current value is 12639 960 13919 1872.I assume these are X and Y for upper right position and pixel length and width, but I don't know in what order.I tried a couple of values, including 0 0 0 0 and 100 100 100 100.I tried rebooting, verifying that the Window values were the same as those I had set, and ran Flash. What happened: Flash is still off the screen unless maximized. Registry values return to being huge numbers.Repair or uninstall+reinstall Flash Using Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a program. What happened:Although several Adobe products are listed, Flash CS3 is not listed, nor are any of the other CS3 suite.Using Start > All Programs > Adobe > Uninstall. The Adobe group doesn't have an Unistall or Install program, not can I find one in C:Program FilesAdobe*What I'm using:

We are writing app for facebook. It's a game written in flash and embeded with wmode window.We get problem with Firefox 6, but only on Windows XP. When user invoke some facebook dialog (for example: pay dialog or buying more credits dialog) flash disappears. This same happens when user click on notifications (globe icon in top facebook menu) and hold it for a while (however this is not so important).After flash disappears it it still in DOM as <object>.

I have a main swf file. In this file, you can click on a link, which stops a background swf from playing and also loads an external swf into a blank movie clip. All works well except for two problems:
1. The external swf is not loading where it should be, but off kilter. I think this is registration issue, haven't figured out the particulars.
2. More importantly... upon resizing the external swf "disappears" into the ether. I understand it might not really be gone, just somewhere I can't see it. Very twilight zone.

We have a problem with a code as below made in AS2. By some reason 3-4 minutes after appearance the image disappears from the screen. How to keep the picture on the screen and make it possible that it would be dynamic only at the first loading, and at second and next clicks on the html links it becomes static?

I'm using Flash CS5 and Actionscript 2. I'm created a multi page training document with some pages containing videos. I have a set of XML program generated videos that work great until I use removeMovieClip(); when exiting the page. I use this to kill the video before I get the the next page.When I come back to the page the code I have regenerates the list. But when I play the videos I only get sound and no video. Sometimes the video black window appears and then immediately disappears or nothing appears but the sound starts playing.

what i am trying to achieve is have a rollover on a button that pops up a 'window' with some text on it (i have this bit worked out) then once the user has finished reading the text they rollout from the 'window' and the image behind is restored. i have attached the .fla so you can see what i mean.
what is going wrong is that the active part of the rollover on the button is only very small and as the 'window' expands and then reveals the text, the active part of the button remains small. so when the user moves his or her mouse the 'window' disappears. i'd like it to stay open until they rollout from the entire text window.

Using Adobe Flash CS3 on a sometimes dual monitor setup. After attaching back to my docking station, and starting up Flash CS3, the window is off the edge of the right hand monitor somewhere, and I am not sure where. The mouse cursor makes it look like the window is somewhere off the lower right hand corner of the screen somewhere, but even after holding in the left and up arrows for a long time, there is no motion, and the window never appears. I can maximize the program back to my primary monitor, but this is hardly an ideal solution.

I'm working on a site that's intended to display full screen. At present the initial HTML page has a "launch site" link which pops up a fullscreen window (via javascript window.open) with our Flash content.Once in the Flash site, all URLs that point at off-site destinations are set to open in a new window ("_blank" as the target - either an href in text, or via navigateToUrl). In Mac Firefox the new window opens BEHIND the full-screen Flash (as a new tab in my case). In Windows FF and IE, and Mac Safari, the new window pops in front of the fullscreen Flash.Is there a way to make the non-fullscreen window pop in front of the fullscreen Flash? I'm using swfobject 2.1 - perhaps I need to use an externalInterface call...thoughts?

I came across the following javascript code that creates a fullscreen pop up window from a rollover button (html/javascript) that appears to be unaffected by popup blockers in IE (or at least on my computers it's unaffected). However, when I adapt the button code to actionscript for use with a flash button it starts to trigger the popup blocker. figure out the correct actionscript to make this work without being blocked?

I am working on a Flash app that is 900x700 pixels. When viewed in misc. browsers at 1024x768, the browser chrome causes robs too much of the vertical space and the app appears in a window with a vertical scrollbar. Unacceptable.
The flash app will be launched via a link emailed to the viewers.
I'd like to avoid resizing the flash app and am wondering if there's a way to do the following via javascript, with no clicks involved:maximize the current browser window remove current window address bar and tabs / switch browser to full screen view (equivalent to pressing F11).
An alternative would be to resize the flash app vertically to match the browser canvas height to avoid scrolling. This may cause the app to become unreadable, so not the best approach in my case.
UPDATE: Seems that browser resizing and autoswitch to full screen won't work and neither will the flash app auto resize. What is the best approach then? And, some users may have browsers with toolbars or open a small browser window.
The only idea I have is to use javascript and display a message to users with small browser windows to pres F11 manually. The audience is executes and some may not even know what an F11 means...

When I open my actions window, it is automatically sized too far lengthwise. With this being said, I cannot read the last 10-15 lines of my coding. I cannot reach the corner resizing tab since it is at the bottom of the window (window resizing does not work on the top corners) which extends past the bottom of my screen. Does anybody know how I can fix it so that I can resize this window to fit on my screen properly?

I have an AIR application. It should be moved around the screen with the mouse. In order to achieve this I use the event: this.stage.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, onMouseDown, true,-2);
It should be activated with the lowest priority compared to inserted elements for example those that should be scrolled, clicked, etc. I tried the solution shown below with the event priority set to -1 because there might happen 2 different events and my moving application event should be the last one to be serviced or shouldn't be serviced at all.

I want to launch full-screen pop-ups for the large photos within a Flash gallery.The gallery (above) is a visually customised version of the AS2 Image Scroller Gallery purchased from Flashtuning.net.I have done some research and located a JavaScript full-screen pop-up tutorial hosted by ActionScript.org, but as the image is embedded within a SWF and not an HTML page, I'm assuming that it won't work.The JPG URLs for the Flash gallery are obtained from a supporting XML file, but I'm assuming that integrating the full-screen pop-up JavaScript within the XML won't work.

I have a problem with the following actionsctipt. what this actionscript does is to position the "mc_content" in the middle of page all the time, even the user trying to resize the window. but my problem is when you open the window "mc_content" is not align in the middle, but after you resize the browser it will adjust in the middle of the page.

Is there a way that I can have it open a 5 pixel window that automatically closes after it loads? Also, is there a way to specify within the actionscript where on the screen I want the new window to open?

What I'd like to do is have it add a product to the shopping cart and close back down.If I can't do it straight from flash, I'm sure I can have the flash page open up an html page which redirects to the add to cart page and automatically closes, but obviously a much bigger pain in the butt, and it will only work anyway if I can specify in the actionscript for it to open a 5 x 5 pixel window.

I have a project that's 1024x768. However, on screens with a resolution of 1024x768, the users still have to scroll (the project is too big to fit in the browser window). Is there a way to allow scaling of the project only if it's too big for the user's window? I don't want the project to always scale to fit the window size. I only want to scale it down if it's too large to fit on screen without scrollbars.

i attempted to add some code to call up another pop-up while my flash loads. since then my problem is this: both pages are called up correctly except that they come up full screen. this never happened before. i have specified the W and H variables in my flash script as 400 x 415, which worked fine before. the only thing i changed was adding the extra code at the start of my flash anim, and the pop up title.
