Professional :: FLVplayback Window Disappears But Sound Remains?

I'm using Flash CS5 and Actionscript 2. I'm created a multi page training document with some pages containing videos. I have a set of XML program generated videos that work great until I use removeMovieClip(); when exiting the page. I use this to kill the video before I get the the next page.When I come back to the page the code I have regenerates the list. But when I play the videos I only get sound and no video. Sometimes the video black window appears and then immediately disappears or nothing appears but the sound starts playing.

I loaded a flv into a uiloader. I have 4 buttons which load different projects in. A quiz, an animation and a video. Works great apart from when you click the buttons either the flv sound remains or if you click the flv button I have multiple instances of the audio. The main file AS3 is

I am working in CS5/AS3 with an FLVPlayback component and a pre-made skin with some custom colors. It is a skin with the caption button included (SkinUnderAll to be exact). I'm using Timed-Text files for the caption content. The captions work just fine. All other buttons on the skin show up, but the toggle button isn't showing up.
I checked all of the linkage in the skin's FLA, checked the AS that creates the FLVPlayback and FLVPlaybackCaptioning objects. All seems fine there.
I've checked the paths and SWF locations to be sure all are in the right places.
I've also included a SKIN_LOADED event listener to get around the default captions-on issue. I'm just not seeing what the issue is. I'd prefer to not go back through my code and make a custom control panel with button components. Started this in CS3 and moved the file to CS5, so I'm not sure if there's something I overlooked in the documentation that spells this out.

When I open Flash CS3 to create something,if the Flash window is not maximized, it disappears off the right side of the screen(s).If I maximize the window using the task bar, it's fine,but it covers up the other resources I need to use. I'm using Vista Business and Flash CS3 with two screens, the extended one on the right.
Right-click the Flash button on the taskbar and select Move.What happened: When I use the arrow keys, nothing appears to happen.When I move the mouse, the arrow pointer comes in from the extreme right side of the screen.When I hold the mouse button down and drag, a four-headed arrow appears at the extreme right, but the Flash window does not appear .Reboot. What happened: Flash is still off the screen unless maximized.
What happened: I found a registry hack that I tried (next item) but it didn't work.Use Regedit to modify settings (after exiting Flash): HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Adobe > Flash 9 > Settings > WindowThe current value is 12639 960 13919 1872.I assume these are X and Y for upper right position and pixel length and width, but I don't know in what order.I tried a couple of values, including 0 0 0 0 and 100 100 100 100.I tried rebooting, verifying that the Window values were the same as those I had set, and ran Flash. What happened: Flash is still off the screen unless maximized. Registry values return to being huge numbers.Repair or uninstall+reinstall Flash Using Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a program. What happened:Although several Adobe products are listed, Flash CS3 is not listed, nor are any of the other CS3 suite.Using Start > All Programs > Adobe > Uninstall. I've used a standard skin on an FLVplayback component which loads and plays perfectly. The problem arises when I enter fullscreen mode and then leave it again. Once I've done this, the video remains on the stage irrespective of what frame I'm on. I can even change scenes and the video remains in the middle. I haven't even added the video using actionscript so I don't really understand how it could possibly stay on more than the frame its inserted in!? At the moment I've used no ActionScript to control the video. I apologise if I'm missing something, this is the first time I've dealt with videos.

I have downloaded a free templete of flash. When I make any changes in the contents and Test Movie (Control-Test Movie), the sound from the swf file disappers. how do I make changes in the fla file without having sound disappear.

We are writing app for facebook. It's a game written in flash and embeded with wmode window.We get problem with Firefox 6, but only on Windows XP. When user invoke some facebook dialog (for example: pay dialog or buying more credits dialog) flash disappears. This same happens when user click on notifications (globe icon in top facebook menu) and hold it for a while (however this is not so important).After flash disappears it it still in DOM as <object>.

what i am trying to achieve is have a rollover on a button that pops up a 'window' with some text on it (i have this bit worked out) then once the user has finished reading the text they rollout from the 'window' and the image behind is restored. i have attached the .fla so you can see what i mean.
what is going wrong is that the active part of the rollover on the button is only very small and as the 'window' expands and then reveals the text, the active part of the button remains small. so when the user moves his or her mouse the 'window' disappears. i'd like it to stay open until they rollout from the entire text window.

I have attached a video on a frame of my website in Flash. When I preview the movie the film plays as it should.But when I export the Fla. as a Swf. file it then doesn't have the movie there anymore?It does show this error:
**Warning** The linkage identifier 'FLVPlayback' was already assigned to the symbol 'Video/FLVPlayback', and cannot be assigned to the symbol 'FLVPlayback', since linkage identifiers must be unique.
I really don't know what that refers too.

How do you remove the sound from "specifically" from FLVplayback component? Since the sound wont stop playing when I'm on different page(assume that if the person didnt click the pause button and navigate to other pages)....Normally I would add SoundMixer.stopAll(); for every button in my main and loaded swf but this will stop my background music as well....
The flvplayback component is located in another swf file and the code was added on the second frame of the movieclip call "scrollGroup"

I'm new to Adobe Flash CS4. I'm making an animation of some fish underwater. I have 2 small fish motion tweened to follow a large fish from left to right. When I view the animation in full screen the small fish seem to be wiped off the screen at a certain point. The tween box continues to follow it's path but the symbol disappears. This only seems to happen with larger objects.

I have a main swf file. In this file, you can click on a link, which stops a background swf from playing and also loads an external swf into a blank movie clip. All works well except for two problems:
1. The external swf is not loading where it should be, but off kilter. I think this is registration issue, haven't figured out the particulars.
2. More importantly... upon resizing the external swf "disappears" into the ether. I understand it might not really be gone, just somewhere I can't see it. Very twilight zone.

I have a movie that has an audio track (I have it set to "start" for the Sync). It works perfectly, but when I insert a preloader with it, the audio disappears. The rest of the movie still works fine (visual) but it is silent.

I've made a flash image with the gif extention with Adobe Flash CS4 Pro. I have set the WMODE to tranparent and i've set the Transparency at the giv tab to transparent to. But now comes the difficult part. Each time when I export the image the background is still white.
What did I do wrong? and how can I fix it?

I'm using Adobe Flash CS5, ActionScript 3.0. I've created a simple file with a few animations. When I press enter, the movie animates perfectly on the stage. But when I press Ctrl+Enter to view it in test mode (and when I export to SWF), one of the five layers just doesn't appear. It's as if I never created the layer! What could be causing this issue[URL]

I try to switch or change a server-side stream, it starts lagging after 2 seconds of playing and sound disappears. Here are scenarios that result in that terrible lag:
1. I create server-side playlist with stream.play() with reset=false; when it is time to play the next movie in the playlist, it starts lagging after 2 seconds.
2. The same problems appears when I just switch streams. I installed FMF Feature Explorer and tried to launch SwitchStreams sample application: the same problem - server stream starts lagging after I switch streams with stream.play().
I tried on different servers (local and remote), with different players (debug player of FMS Admin Console, Standard Flash videoplayer component, OSMF player, Flex video player). I also tried all possible flv, f4v and mp4 file compression options for video files - still the same problem. I have also tried literally thousands of Application.xml settings: changing buffer, buffer ration etc. Is there any tip where I should search for a solution?

I have a simple static text MovieClip that is masked in the timeline the traditional way - layer above the text layer has a rectangle and that layer is set to mask. This looks fine in the timeline while authoring. As soon as I publish it as Flash 9, the text disappears

when a video is playing..and i click a button to play to a different label in the main time line..the video component disappears but the audio keeps playing.. all so the volume component, the slider indicator stays stuck to the stage.. what AS3 is needed..to stop the audio and fix the indicator..

I have a movie clip symbol that is about 8 frames long. I am staggering it 14 times throughout scene one, with varying times.My problem is that it plays once then disappears (I added actionscript on the last frame in the symbol movie clip). I would like it to play then keep the last frame displayed in scene one until a specific keyframe (60). Not have the movie clip instance loop, rather show the image that is on its last frame.

I have faced a problem in Adobe Flash CS4. I have created a simple text box and set it to a vertical direction, I've rotated it to 90 degrees. It looks good in the FLA file but when I convert to SWF, the text box simply disappears. Other components of my animation remain as I have designed them.
