I have a movie that has an audio track (I have it set to "start" for the Sync). It works perfectly, but when I insert a preloader with it, the audio disappears. The rest of the movie still works fine (visual) but it is silent.

View 5 RepliesI have two Preloader problems for a project I'm working on right now.
1. The Main Site preloader disappears when 60% is loaded...with a blank screen lag until moving to the main screen
2. My external .swf Preloader is still on screen after an external .swf has loaded. I can hear the external .swf playing while watching my loader bar at about 20-40%.

I have created a website with a preloader on flash CS3 and now i need to import it to a .html file, and finally upload it to web. I have imported the .swf into dreamweaver and saved it. However, when I open the html file on Internet Explorer, the preloader has disappeared. (It works fine when I clicked simulate download when playing the website in flash)

View 3 RepliesI've made a flash image with the gif extention with Adobe Flash CS4 Pro. I have set the WMODE to tranparent and i've set the Transparency at the giv tab to transparent to. But now comes the difficult part. Each time when I export the image the background is still white.
What did I do wrong? and how can I fix it?
I just upgraded from Flash CS3 to CS5 and when I draw something and try to convert it to a movie clip, duplicate it, etc. the entire drawing's outline just disappears.

But when I press Ctrl+Enter to view it in test mode (and when I export to SWF), one of the five layers just doesn't appear. It's as if I never created the layer! What could be causing this issue[URL]
View 4 RepliesI am having a pretty irritating problem with the audio I am using for a Flash game which I am making using Flash 8 and Actionscript 2.0. The game itself is near complete and is already hosted online, it is a simple 2d shooter game where enemies go from one side of the screen to the other and you shoot them. I have built a preloader which works well however I have just added audio to the game, and I am finding that the preloader doesn't seem to take this audio into account. The game itself loads up and is ready to play, however it could be another 30 seconds or so before the audio will kick in.
I have a main song loop which plays in the background (triggered once the start game button is pressed). A bullet shot sound when the mouse is clicked (triggered through code), and various sound effects that are played on the timelines of the enemy movie clips characters. Part of my problem is that im implementing the audio in so many different ways and I am confused by the complexities of using audio in Flash. Should I build a separate preloader for the audio? Or am I simply doing something wrong in Flash itself when it comes to including the audio?
The .swf file (CS4 AS2.0) disappears when viewing in IE8 (PC) after refresh in the browser

View 9 RepliesI'm having trouble figuring out how to get my audio to load without exporting it in the 1st frame. In other projects where I use components, in the linkages panel, I deselect 'export in first frame', and put an instance of the component in an assets frame. That way the preloader opens right away and the components loadup in the second frame (which just gets jumped over when the movie plays). I'm trying to do this with my linked audio but it won't work. When I deselect export in first frame, I just get no audio. In the assets frame I have the actionscript

I am staggering it 14 times throughout scene one, with varying times.My problem is that it plays once then disappears (I added actionscript on the last frame in the symbol movie clip). I would like it to play then keep the last frame displayed in scene one until a specific keyframe (60). Not have the movie clip instance loop, rather show the image that is on its last frame.

View 5 RepliesI'm using Flash CS5 proefessional and trying to do a demonstration. The demonstrationincludes a rope-like lanyard that is quite long and needs to bend at many many points. After successfully applying the bone tool to the object, I tried moving it with Free Transform.However, when I do so, the lanyard suddenly disappears, besides a couple tiny pieces. I didn't delete the previous layer, and I had unioned everything before breaking it apart again to apply the Bone tool.

I created a motion tween for the first image (on it's own layer), but when I try to run it, all the other images and background dissappears. The tween works, but the rest is invisible, just turns white.
View 5 RepliesI've got a dynamic text field that has embedded fonts. When I copy it from one file to another, the pasted text field loses it's embedded checkmarks. I have to open up the embed menu and reselect the appropriate embed keys.
The problem is that this text field is inside a component that many of my coworkers use several times / day in many assets. We just jumped to CS5.5 from 4 and text is now disappearing. I've tracked it down to this issue, but don't know how to resolve it. There's NO reason this dynamic text field should be losing it's embedded..
I'm using Flash CS5 and Actionscript 2. I'm created a multi page training document with some pages containing videos. I have a set of XML program generated videos that work great until I use removeMovieClip(); when exiting the page. I use this to kill the video before I get the the next page.When I come back to the page the code I have regenerates the list. But when I play the videos I only get sound and no video. Sometimes the video black window appears and then immediately disappears or nothing appears but the sound starts playing.

how to load audio and have it ready for after the preloader. I had it export for actionscript before but it loads before the preloader starts which really elimates much of the need for the preloader. My Text is visible before rotating it to verticle position using Free Transform Tool. But when once it is rotated to verticle position the text disappears from the Stage. And it is not an animated Text as well?

View 9 RepliesI have a files that is loading and parsing a huge amount of data from a csv file and creating and plotting a graph using the data. All is well if I have the file loaded on the first frame of the movie. But if I pass in the URL by entering the file name in a text input field and clicking a button. The X and Y axis values disappear as do intermittent notes placed above the bar graph. I still see the x and y axis and it's hash marks and the bar graph (shapes) but all of the text is gone.
