IDE :: Adding Interactive Scroll As Element Of Page?

I created an interactive image pan (750 x 300). I then tried to add the 750 x 300 panning image as a movie clip as part of a larger stage (750 x 550), so that it was a band across part of the stage with static content above and below. When tested the scroll keeps going off the end of the image? How you can add the interactive scroll as an element of a page rather than just on its own without the scroll going off the end of the image?

very desperate to learn and create the technique or an interactive paralax scroll method that is being used on the following website: [URL] I want to know how to do something almost identical to what is done on the above URL, where you move the mouse and the front image moves as well as knowing how to limit the movement so the image doesnt scroll off the stage but instead only moves just a couple of steps either side as you can see.

FOR EXAMPLE, WHEN THE PICTURE IS IN FRONT OF YOU AND YOU CAN SEE OTHER PICTURES BESIDE IT BUT THEY ARE FURTHER AWAY AND YOU CAN SEE THE REFLECTION ON THE FLOOR OF IT IS THIS A POSSIBILITY IN fLASH?

Im working on a website for school, and im doing it through flash. The server ive been given is being taken up by thousands of pages, so its slow. Instead of loading each page through HTML, ive decided i could do a seperate frame for each page. However, to reach the menu at the bottom, you have to scroll down. Is there any way to make it so that when you click a button to load a different page for the flash player to scroll up all the way to the top of the page itself?

I have successfully gone through and executed the Interactive Image Pan tutorial you have on here. However I am looking to add more of a sense of depth, so would like some images in the "foreground" to scroll by faster (than the background) as the cursor is moved.
To accomplish this I have made the foreground image cover a much bigger width than the background, as it makes sense to me that this would make it scroll faster, using the same code as the background.
So my question is what code do I need to add to the original code to make the foreground image scroll too? It's a MC called fg_mc. Here's the original code for quick reference:

So, I am working on this widget which is basically a mini website that we want to allow our members to create their own widget (xml) and then use it on facebook etc.so in lack of knowledge regarding best practices what I did was to create many layers on the timeline (one for each page) and shift them over and on top a layer where I added labels to the keyframes. I will try to demonstrate:

I have used the simple script below on several Flash animations to restart the movie by clicking on the last frame. It works fine, but does not show the interactive cursor (the pointing hand). How can I alter the code below so that the browser shows the hand when the visitor moves the cursor over the paused movie?

I have a DAE model that is parsed into several parts. I am able to deal with them separately, such as changing their material or colour but I am having problems adding click or hover listeners over the children. For example, lets say I have a model of a kitty where each facial feature is a child. I want to be able to hover or click the features and have a window pop up explaining the feature. I've tried parsing the model and adding listeners but it doesn't seem to work.

I have a library MovieClip the I am putting into the Scroll Pane. Inside this MovieClip is a Dynamic Text field that I fill with data. I have the ScrollPane on my stage and have used the source, refreshPain and update to try and get the new information from the dynamic text field into the Scroll Pain. To no avail all I get is the orginal text that was in the box when it started.

I'm looking to add an element to this function to make my text fade. On (release) of my 'biog' button this function starts. But also I need my text on the page to fade from 100 to 0 on release, before this function begins. I've tried applying code that I have but can't get it to wrk. Not sure how these functions work exactly and no matter how much reading I do I can't get this right.

Check out the link below, as you can see my overlay is hidden behind the flash element. However, the blue bar with the 'Continue' button appears above everything. Does anyone know what CSS changes I need to make so the overlay will appear above everything below it? The background loads an iframe.

I can't add wmode="transparent" to the embed tag, since I have no control over the page loaded in the iframe.

Is there anyway to take take a "screenshot", "save" or "capture" the active SWF element on a page as an image? I'd like for users to be able to simply click a button on my page, instead of having to need to manually take a screenshot of the entire page and then crop the image to show only the SWF element.I found a Jquery method, although I am unsure if it could work with SWF files. It basically captures an area of an Image element on the page and allows you to save that as a separate image. What I would need however, is to capture the SWF as the image instead. Note: I do not have access to the SWF code so I cannot achieve this using Actionscript or anything like that

I'm trying to create a simple interactive animation for a website that consists of three rollover areas on a page. When you mouse over an area, a bit of explanatory text is revealed by animating a mask over some text. The text is left displayed until a mouseover of a different area occurs.Let's call the three mouseover targets A, B, and C.A MOUSE_OVER event listener is registered for all three targets. I've created a scrolling thumb panel in As3. Everything works fine except that when you Roll out of the get bounds section it removes the enter frame function and stops immediately.
I would like that when you Roll out of the get bounds section it has a deceleration instead of a sudden stop.

I was looking at this site:[URL]and i noticed that on a smaller screen with a lower resolution, the page simply moves in, instead of it staying at the normal size and having a scroll bar on the bottom. what extra code would i need to insert in order to do this?

I've been working on Kirupa's adding thumbnails to the XML photo gallery. I've managed to change the scroller to one that is vertical and reposition it to where I wanted it and everything works fine. urrently the code accounts for when the mouse moves (on the horizontal) to the left or right of the thumbnail container to stop scrolling. However when the mouse moves up and down to scroll (on the vertical) it continues to scroll even though the mouse has moved outside the container area. I'd like for it to only scroll when the mouse is within the 30 pixel - hit_left/right boudaries.
Here's the code, as you can see the changes have been very little from the original.

Im making a simple website tutorial using flash.
I have all the frames within a Movie symbol with a scrollbar to navigate the page as its quite long.
The trouble i'm having is when you are at the bottom of a page and click to the next page it will show the next page at the exact same position as the previous.
Is there a script so where when you click to the next page it returns the top?

I'm using actionscript 2.0, trying to make my text scroll across the page like a "news headline". Thsi is the code that I have been using (see below), which works. However, I want my text to scroll continuously (non stop). The code that I have right now, once text leaves the zone, it's gone.

I have an AS2 site where all the pages are different lenghts and have navigation at the top and the bottom.
When you click on the bottom navigation on one of the longer pages in order to get to another shorter page, you land on the same place where the bottom navigation was on the page before; ie you land at the bottom of the page.
How can I get around this so that every time you land on a new page it has scrolled to the top?

After adding a mouseListener via Mouse.addListener to my flash movie the mouse wheel event is not bubbling to the browser when the mouse cursor is placed over the flash moviePeople all over google are complaining that in AS3 the event is bubbling and it is hard to stop it but in AS2 I wasn't able to find a solution to get the behaviour just as it is in AS3.Some code:

I'm working on building a personal portfolio site right now. I wanted to add a scroll feature to one the pages. I wasn't sure how to build it, so I down loaded one off here [URL] and just plugged my own graphics into it. It scrolls up and down just fine, but when I try to put a mask over it, it doesn't work. In the content the author wrote for his movie he says "Note: If you want to have a mask over the content: copy MC:frame and make it a mask for MC:Page. If you do so, notice that "non-anti-alias text" is not possible anymore. This is a common thing in a Flash Movie. I keep trying that and it just blocks everything out all together. So what am I doing wrong?
