I have some buttons in a movie clip, and while they work when previewing flash, they don't work in the browser. I am using geturl on the buttons, and I'm thinking they are not functioning because they are within movie clips.
I have a flash project, its working fine in local system, but the same file is not working in live here is the link of the site, its showing blank page, the flash contents are not loading... [URL]
I have a flash project, its working fine in local system and checked this file with uploading in someother websites, its working fine there too, but the same file is not working in live here is the link of the site, its showing blank page, the flash contents are not loading.URL...and here the same file which i have uploaded it in other server its working fine.URL...
I'm working on a site and I have 2 movieClips/buttons that I would like to use as use as next frame/ previous frame triggers respectively. Is there a way to set the buttons up once and then access the functionality from the various levels of the site? Note that the prev/next buttons will not always be on the stage.
im working on a zoom/pan gallery and i have a problem that i can't solve.URL...the pan buttons are not working but the zoom and reset buttons works. im working on movie the image using the mouse now, if you will hold the image and move it it will drag it on stage.the image is a loader the loads and image and placed on screen.there is a mask on top of it and a frame that indicates the size of the gallery.when the user pan the image loader content i want it to stop as soon as it gets to the gallery frame, but i cant seem to find the best way to do it.so basicly when the image is in 100% i dont want the user to be able to drag it but after you zoom the user will be able to drag it but only to the edge of the frame so there wont be any white spaces.i tried a lot of different ways to do it but all of them are complicated and not working the way that i want them to work.
I have three buttons and when I click the second one, the first stops working (e.g. no trace event and it won't go back to the frame "tab1") but the third still works. Then when I press the third button both the first and second no longer work. If I take out the gotoAndStop lines, the buttons work fine. The subsequent frames simply have stops on them.
b1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP,b1Pressed);b2.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP,b2Pressed);b3.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP,b3Pressed); function b1Pressed(event:MouseEvent){ trace("b1 pressed");
I am new to flash and my site is not working.it is on URL... HERBALIFE is meant to be on top of the page and it is missing a lot of the text/I published it and the swf does not work. I saved the .fla file and published as .swf
When I updated my Flash website I added new sounds to all buttons on the site. I also animated the main section buttons with a movie clip in the "over" frame. I added sound to the "down" frame of the animated buttons in the same manner that I added sound to the no n-animated buttons. When I click on one of the non-animated buttons and release, the complete sound plays. When I click on one of the animated buttons and release, the sound stops the instant I release the button. If I click on one of the animated buttons and do not release but continue to press the mouse button, the entire sound will play. How can I make the animated buttons behave like the non-animated buttons and play the entire sound even though the button is released?
Got a site almost complete however the user authentication isn't working. Simply put, I wish my website to reference a PHP file, which is echoing a users authentication level. Via the Actionscript, Flash pushes the user to the frame on the timeline they have the authority to view.
My PHP Code <?phpecho 'checkLog=999';?>
My AS2 Code - This code is pasted in the first frame of the timeline appname="mikesapp"loadVariablesNum("newlogin.php", 0, "POST"); //This verifies the users status and forwards them to the portion of the website they are authorized to access.////Auth Level 100 = Regional Access, Auth Level 200 = Franchise Access, Auth Level 300 = Employee Access, Auth Level 400 = Denied Access and Back Button as they do not have the privileges to move forward from there.//
Because the "checkLog" value is 999, the user should be forwarded to the "denied" label in the timeline however it is not as the site simply loops over and over. I'm sure Flash is accessing the "newlogin.php" file as when I rename it, flash errors stating it cannot locate the file. I have changed it back to the correct name since.
I have built a site for a client using AS2 which contains links to streaming mp3s. The audio loads and runs just fine in Safari but malfuntions/doesn't even play in other browsers.
Here is the site in question: [URL].. I'm hoping that one of you lovely gurus out there can help me resolve this problem. If needed, I can supply the .fla.
Back in 1999, I taught myself how to use Flash (it was before Actionscript). I used it to make a funny website called Mirsk-T: [URL]..I also created some basic HTML on the site's front page to determine whether a visitor had Flash version 4 installed. If the person didn't, then the person would see a page with a link to Adobe's download site.
Now, it's 12 years later and I haven't used Flash since I created Mirsk-T in 1999. I also haven't done any HTML coding either. But I'm having problems getting Mirsk-T to work with certain browsers. The site works fine with Safari, Internet Explorer 6 and 7, and OmniWeb. However, when I access the site with Firefox or Chrome or Camino, I see the GIF image I created that appears when a visitor doesn't have Flash installed. And I know I have Flash installed on those browsers.
I therefore have no idea why the site isn't working with those browsers.
A few more details: The Mirsk-T site consists of two different pages. The opening page is at www.mirskt.com (www.mirskt.com/index.html). It consists of a Flash movie that is a song with animated lyrics. Once the song ends, visitors are taken to [URL]..The page with the song is what's not loading in Firefox, Camino and Chrome. If I directly put [URL]..into the browser bar of Firefox, Chrome and Camino, that part of the site works. So, there's something strange going on with the HTML in the page with the song. I'm guessing the HTML I had written back in 1999 for detecting Flash is not working anymore somehow.
So, I'm wondering if anyone has any idea why the front page (the Flash movie with the song) isn't working in some browsers. I don't know if I'm skilled enough to be able to change the HTML even if someone here knows what's wrong. But then maybe someone here could do me a favor and quickly fix the index.html file. I'm guessing it would only take a few minutes for someone who knows what he/she is doing.
I have a thumbnail scroller, it's working when I preview it in flash or in IE when the files are not on my server, however when I upload them to my site, the scrollwheel no longer works.
iv been trying for awhile now to get a few of the buttons im using on a site to change dimensions when i hover
basically i would like the button background to change dimensions and extend length wise to the other end of the web page whenever the mouseover appears the lenght of the botton extends smoothly and also goes back to its original size smoothly without snapping back
iv read lots of tutorials (got adobe flash cs4 book) but its all about moving images and so forth not really dimensions
if anyone can point out a tutorial or knows how to resolve this
I've got a nearly completed Flash site, but one of the buttons isn't working--sometimes.
It's hard to explain, so here's how you can see the problem. Run the .fla below, wait for the animation to stop, and click the "services" star. Two more stars appear: "design and production" and "editorial." If you click on "design and production" first, everything works fine. You can get to editorial and everywhere else. BUT if you click on "editorial" first (after clicking "services" but before clicking "design and production"), the "design and production" button doesn't work from there (the "editorial" label frames in the "inline_frame" movie clip).
I've got several Actions keyframes in the "inline_frame" movie clip--I don't know if that's kosher or not.
I have a very simple button with a GetUrl action. The flash is being embedded via a script, using document.write method. All works as expected when the script is hosted within the webiste. I need to host the script externally though, on a remote website (its a banner script). The problem is that when I embed the movie using the REMOTE javascript file, i.e. [URL], the simple GetUrl does not work at all.
I'm sure this is something related to security or cross site scripting, but I'm equally sure there's a way around this. Affiliate banners use flash to do the very same thing (somehow).

I have created two photo slideshows to put on a site I'm working on. One is on the home page and it seems to work fine. The second is on another page. This one is not working for some reason. I published it in the same way I did the first from Flash Professional. When I post the slide show on the home page it works. When I take the slidshow from the homepage and put it on the second it does not work.
Not necessarily my own website, but if you browse to [URL] and take a look at the scores/schedules area that has the left/right slider, is there a reason taps that usually register as clicks don't cause the slider to move? Is it a flash bug? Just want to know out of curiosity's sake.
I'm trying to load a jpg from [URL]. I load if from my computer, it works.. load it online, doesn't. And it doesn't give me any errors or anything. The completeListener is not working! Is there a problem with flash loading from other domains or what?.. If I test it, it shows in Safari's activity that the jpg was loaded, but it won't display it.
When going to the links on the flash banners at the bottom work perfectly. there is an increased frequency in people visiting the site and only typing and in those instances the links do not work.
I produced a website a year ago now, and up until now it has been working fine. My client brought to my attention today that there are suddenly problems when viewing the site in chrome, IE and safari. You cannot get past the landing page as the 'enter' button is not there despit the graphics being in the right place.I have updated to flash player 10.1, and opened, published and uploaded the flash file in a newer version of flash to see whether that helped, but no go.
AS3 on 1st frame:
Code: stop(); addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, loaderFF); function loaderFF(e:Event):void{
I am working on a portfolio site to display images. I have 2 frames, the first contains a progress bar and this code:
[Code]...
The second frame has the content and different action script that is related to it.
My problem is that the whole site works fine in Flash when i "test movie" and "simulate download" but as soon as i "publish preview" in either flash or html the progress bar doesn't work, it just freezes on that frame.I am really new at this and have just pieced together the code i have from various tutorials on the net but this is really testing my patience. So frustrating because the site took me ages and it looks great in flash, just need to get past this little hitch.
I had designed and setup a flash website for a client a while ago and just recently they emailed me saying their website doesn't work in Google Chrome or Safari. I have SWF Object 2 on the website and that doesn't seem to help. The flash component of the website doesn't show up at all yet works fine in IE and FF. What could be the issue here?
I created a Flash CS4 document which contains 2 buttons. I used the code below to link the two buttons to well known web sites, tested them in Flash and the buttons work fine.
I am new to the community, I doing a free website for internship purposes, long story i cannot get my buttons to link in flash site, i have tried many different codes and none had worked, i am a newbie and i need some guidance in the right direction. I have three links Link1, Link 3, and Link 4 The current code I am using is import flash.net.
I have seen instruction on event listeners to get a button to go to a URL or to make a movie pause and whatnot, but what I'm not finding is instruction on how to write the AS3 for a button that simply moves you to a new page within the site itself. Also, if it's a "goto" script, the page that I want it to go to, does that have to be a new scene? If so, how do I merge two scenes together? Essentially, you can look here for what I am trying to accomplish. [URL]
What we want to happen is when let's say the direct marketing button is clicked, we want the other buttons to slide offscreen the way they slid on screen and then a new set of buttons pertaining to the direct marketing will appear at the bottom the way the original buttons appeared at the beginning. Do I need to make these buttons sliding away and a new set of buttons sliding in on a new scene? How do I link the scenes together?
I'm working with an Actionscript 2.0 flash file (though I'm using CS4), trying to determine the cause of the following problem: The client has a flash menu on their own Site A, hosted on their own server. They have some dynamically generated pages on another server, Site B, and that server displays the information and creates a template by pulling the flash menu remotely from the original site's server, Site A.
The flash displays correctly, rollovers animate and work fine, but none of the buttons get the URL. They're just dead when clicked on, whether their supposed to go to a page on Site A OR Site B.
