IDE :: Publish SWF Movie And Automatically Play At Half Screen Size

I've made a presentation in the form of a swf movie using macromedia flash 8. I want to upload this to a website where when the website is loaded the movie would play automatically at a half screen size... Any host server that I could subscribe to? How to upload the file? Also, my swf file has an action script camera that doesn't work when I publish it as a html but it works in swf.

Building a flash website in CS3. I've made every button the exact same way, draw a rectangle, convert to symbol, type as either button or movie clip (doesn't seem to matter and I'm not using rollover stuff), alpha 0% and stick it on its own layer above everything else.Action scrip is as follows:

that's with 2 buttons for main. I have the exact same code multiple times for many different buttons. It works everywhere except the last two buttons on my page will work the first time you click them from the main page, but then don't work after that until you click on the main page again. Then it works.These two:

the function is described on an earlier action keyframe:

Of course I've tried just having one button do this and copy/pasting the button on different areas of the movie, but nothing I've done fixes. I've even gone through and deleted every button and AS and redone it. I've put every button on its own layer (shouldn't matter but I'm trying everything I can think of).if there is an easier way of using AS to navigate a flash movie let me know. The other options I've seen seem a bit too complex at the moment.

I have been given an .FLA file.Once I publish it in .SWF the file will not automatically play when the page is opened.It does automatically play when it is a .EXE file.Here is the ActionScript Code for Frame 1

they swf files load and play when pressed (bottom right buttons)
last resort, i'll create a fullscreen button to activate the movieclip but i'd rather not have to...

I have created a .swf with flash cs4 actionscript 3. I placed it into an indesign page (cs4) and then exported to make a pdf. The movie played correctly before being placed and made into pdf. I have a stop in the first frame of the movie. So when you open the movie there is a black screen (first two frames only) with two buttons, a start and a stop. click the start the movie plays. when made into pdf and opened the movie plays automaticly no black screen and the buttons do not work.

I am using movieClipLoader to load external swfs via xml. I am trying to set it up to automatically play the next movie after the current swf is done. The problem is, after the current swf is done playing, the actionscript tries to load all the rest of the swfs in the xml file and not just the next one. So it ends up playing the last swf in the xml file. I added "delete this.onEnterFrame" but still not working.. see code below

I have a movieclip with an image fading in and out (using an actionscript tween class set to yoyo). This movieclip is loaded into a dummy movieclip when a button is pressed. The first time you click the button the fading movieclip plays as it should, fading in and out continuously. However, the second or subsequent times the button is clicked the fading movieclip goes crazy, half fading in/out and half jumping from one alpha value to another.

The first half of the tween doesn't work but the second half does. It only does this when I add the code link._visible = 0;. This is to make the alpha completly disappear.

EDIT: What do I need to write in AS3 to make a dynamic text field increase in increments of 1 if the user hovers at the upper half of the screen, and decrease in increments of 1 if the user hovers at the lower half of the screen?Purpose, it isn't a game.
What I have right now isn't actually doing any of those things, I've just been mucking about trying to get all the masks working and they finally are.
I've included the code to offer as much information as possible about my specific project. There is also a few more lines that changes the colour of the dial when the user rolls over the specific coloured bars. I can post that as well if it helps.
To clarify the scene, the arrow part of the dial tracks the user's mouse. Always pointing towards it. The bars, when rolled over changes the colour of said dial. The "73M" is static, as well is "POINTS" but the 380 value is dynamic. It is that string I need to affect.
If anything is unclear please feel free to ask, I've been at this all night so there is a chance I'm so into it that I can't see straight.

have a template which shows 12 bitmap and 12 symbols all the images are in place but when i preview the swf it only has half the images in the sequence?for exapmle it shows images 1,2, 4,5 7,9,11 they come in and go out in the sequences then loops again but misses out 3 6 10 12 ?? how can i get theses to show in the project.

So ive been asked to build a page for a real state company and the guy told me it should be similar to these [URL] Ive been trying a couple of weeks so far, but i dont seem to find a way to do somthing similar, i mean, i want to have the welcome screen as those two:
- the gradient background
- flash occupies whole screen no matter what size it is
- gradient expands sideways infinately
- no matter what height my explorer window is, gradient is always in the same position relative to top, and if i keep expanding downwards the background keeps last colour of the gradient.
- the brand logo looks as if it had top, left and right anchors, and it also limitates the minimum width of the explorer window
i though of addind a 3000 x 3000px square with the gradient and centering it, but i know there has to be a professional way of achieving that.

I am developing an AS3 application (not a Flex one) using Flash Builder 4.5. My application can set its graphical components automatically according to stageWidth/stageHeight. My problem is with the actual application size. If I do not specify width/height in the SWF meta tag, my application is compiled according to the default (550x400?). If I do specify (for example 800x480), I won't be able to support other resolutions correctly.
Is there a way to tell the compiler to see the application size according to the device's/stage's sizes?

Actaully I am running a cards game. While running the game in between if I change the style portrait to landscape. then how can I detect the screen size and run the game according the screen style (Portrait or Landscape).
Actaully I have written the code to detect the screen as portrait and landscape. But in between if I change the game portrait into landscape, no more it works.

when i play the movie, it plays scene 2, however, scene 2, which is in my flash document, plays automatically. how can i stop this? is there some code which only makes scene 2 play when called for and not play automatically.

I've been trying to do this for awhile, and I've read the boards. I've seen a few options as to how to do this, but some of them do not explain how the css/js etc work, and I just don't understand that stuff enough to go it alone.
What I'm trying to do : Create a flash site that only 'downsizes' when the browser is too small to view it. I don't want it to upscale/upsize.
For example. The movie is 1000 x 800 . If a viewer has a viewable area that is less than 1000x800 the movie will scale [ the way it does when published at 100% ]. BUT if the viewer say has a 23' cinema screen, the movie will not get bigger than 1000x800.

I'm creating a flash site. I want the flash movie to fill the entire browser window. What size should I make the canvas, I've been experimenting with sizes and a canvas size of 750*370 fills my browser well on a resolution of 800*600
How do you accomodate different resolution settings? What's the most commonly used canvas size for this type of project.

i am working on an intro for a friend of mine and it includes a lot of individual photos. the preloader takes forever but i can figure out how to only load half of the movie instead of the entire thing before it plays. here's the code i have for the preloader itself:

I'm using as2 and i'm making a photogallery. I have a preloader but its taking too long to load, so is there a way where i can pick how much i want it to be loaded before it starts so the viewer doesnt sit there forever? I've finished a site that has a listener with no scaling. Basically its the typical /2 deal to keep the movie clip centered. On a few images I have a 1 pixel black frame so the images need to remain on whole pixel locations to remain crisp. Generally everything works well but sometimes when you resize the browser just right it somehow puts them in between pixels.
