IDE :: Stop Sound On Next Frame/page?

The website has buttons to navigate on each page. Each page has a sound. I tried the embed and external but when I click on a button to navigate to another page but the sound from the previous page is still there which overlaps on the next page's sound.
How can I make the music from the current page stop when going to the next page? I want the next page's sound to play and not have both sounds play at the same time.
I have tried whatever.stop();, SoundMixer, and everything in the Internet for the past 2 days and I still can't make something very basic as changing music work.

I'm working on a pretty basic interactive children's book. I have it set up so that each page has audio relating to that specific page. Going forward, there is no issue with sound overlapping from the current and next pages. Going backward, however, there is an issue with sound playing on both the current and previous pages. How do I stop this?

I'm building a site that has an mp3 player that's available all the time.I'm adding a video page to the site.The videos use an FLVPlayback component.When I leave the video page I want the sound that was playing on that video to stop.I can't use SoundMixer.stopAll() because if I had the mp3 player playing before I went to a page I want it to keep playing.

for example i have a two pages, in page 1 theres a sound thats playing, but if i will try and go to page 2 the sound will stop, but if i will go back to page 1 the sound will be played again..

the only "Home" button that works is on the "Theory" page, which is where the actionscript happens to be located(frame 76).. In other words, if I click on the "Theory" button, I'm able to return to my home page. However if I click on any other button, it plays straight through the remaining frames and loops back to the beginning.

i'm trying to build a flash site and ran into a problem... i have a gallery page with a bunch of page numbers at the top. when you click on one, a movieclip loads of some images coming in.so the problem i'm having is that i made a little animation for when you roll the mouse over the page number (they scale up when the mouse is over, scale back when the cursor moves away)... what it's doing is when you roll over, it goes to a certain frame in the timeline and plays that animation.that's all working cool, but i need it to not do that once it's clicked on. so basically when you actually click on a page number, the over script should stop until you go to another page... here's the code i've written,

Basically I have a flash website built on different frames of the timeline, the simplest way I think.Some of these frames have movie clips embedded into them using the flv playback component class.The problem I have is the following, the site works fine and videos play fine, but whenever I navigate offa part of the website to another, from a frame to another - the sound of the clips that were playing keepsplaying on the background and never stop and it keeps building up every time I navigate of.f each page.I want to remark that I believe is not only the sound that keeps playing "invisible" but the whole clip butThis is the AS code for my buttons on an example frame, would you be so kind to tell me what I should add or change

I have a problem with my slideshow script. I have embedding a flash video file into my website with this slideshow called monoslideshow, and everything seems to work perfectly. Trouble is, when I am clicking on another menu button that should jump to another frame, it still keeps playing the video and sound while displaying the new menu data.So I will probably need some code that stops the video instantly, when another menu button is clicked. But how do I write it and where do I put it?

how do transitions from page to page and from frame to frame all in on site, and i'm lost in the codes this is an exemple that i did in attachment, i want to be able to click in the different buttons bur a lot of thinks do not work. In the portfolio section i create a move clip that works well alone, bur when i integrate it with the home intro it didn't work properly. Hope that someone will be able to help me on that one, cause i think that this will help me a lot to understnad the basic transitions with buttons (frame to frame and page to page).

I have a bit of a problem with sound.. I have a main container animation with background sound that's loaded with soundChannel..I also have an externally loaded SWFs with Movie Clip buttons that have a sound ON ROLLOVER on the timeline..after rolling off - I place the:SoundMixer.stopAll();to stop the button from playing the sound once the mouse is rolled off.. When i zoom into the page then move around the edge of the page can be moved past the edge of the browser window showing the static page which appears at the start of the document. Is it possible to use actionscript to stop the page being dragged past a certain point so the static page is not seen? On the example below the static page is white so it does not pose too much of a problem however im using the static page as a sort of instruction page and it looks a bit rubbish if the user drags a page past the edge of the view window and see's the original page. I am using FLASH CS3.I have gone through many posts, seems to be an issue with many people.Still haven't come across a fix.Website made in FLASH. I'm sure this is a common problem, I tried looking around on the forum for a problem like mine but was unable to find anything. I'm using Flash CS3, Actionscript 2.0, and am making a soundboard. I have two scenes, one that's the title screen, of which has a sound file loaded via the timeline, (I think) set to Event and Loop, and a button which takes you to the next scene and makes a short sound when it's pressed. My second scene has background music as well, also set to Event and Loop.
Problem is that when I press the button, the background music keeps playing into the next scene. I tried using putting stopAllSounds onto the button, but that makes the sound of the button stop as well, and I'd really like to keep it. I've been messing with this for days, and I can't figure it out.

I want to use a sound loop in my flash movie. The movie has many scenes. And the problem is that when I go to next scene or different scene I hear the sound repeating twice. However if i play a movie then hit next frame, the movie continues to play in the background. I have 5 frames in which a different song will be playing, this is the code i used on each frame:
