Jul 17, 2010I have only two fields Name and Email in a Order form and a PayPal button for payment at PayPal ( into my account).I can do the mail portion but have no idea about PayPal code, however on search here I found one code and after pasting this one to the PayPal button it redirects to my PayPal account.But the question is anybody can post a message and leave the site without paying me. How can I do this thing so that the user will forced to pay before posting the mail form.

Jan 31, 2003I have a UI component calendar that populates a text box that I validate before I let the form send.All works fine in this department until you put the date in the text box manually, then the form does not think there is a valid date. This is because I validate the two dates not by what�s in the textbox, but by what date the person chose in the calendar UI component.Confusing I know.So, how can I take a date someone puts is a listbox and formulate it so it looks like this
There date = 2/31/2003
Formulates to inputday = 1
inputmonth = 31
inputYear = 2003
I think if I have it in this form I can validate the date against the current date.Or, where is a good web site with form/date validation?

Jul 9, 2009I made an interactive rotating globe that shows all the continents (using CS3 and AS3). The globe rotates automatically. When the user mouses over the globe is stops rotating and they can use left/right arrows to rotate it manually to get to a continent. When the mouse rolls over a continent (Australia for instance) it changes color and should be clickable and go to a website but it's not working. It doesn't return any errors. Jan 28, 2009I'm using Flash CS3, AS2, PHP, mysql database with phpbb user registration. What I'm trying to do is a make a contest game where you have 5 different ladies and the users get to rank them in order from 1 to 5. Since it is a contest, users will need to be logged in. We already have a database of users based on phpbb, and a registration page. I need them to be able to log in using that username/pass and then they can play the game.
The game consists of a drag and drop mechanism (which I have) so the user can drag "#1" to "girl-4", drag "#2" to "girl-5" etc. Once they drag and drop all the boxes into the order they want, the user then submits it. The data I need to capture in the database is the User, date/time, their rank order (seperated so we can do a query to figure out how many they got right out of the 5.) The final twist is that we are going to have 9 total 'games', one each week for 9 weeks, and we only want users to be able to play once per week.
For an example you can see a working version here. That one does a bunch of more complicated stuff that I don't want to do. The programmer that did it is no longer here and it has been hard trying to decipher his code. I have the whole drag and drop mechanism using the old code from the above example. This is a snippit of the code. drag1_mc is the number they drag (there are 5, so drag1_mc, drag2_mc etc.) and drop1_mc is the rank location. (also 5, drop1_mc, drop2_mc, etc)

I am asking if it would be possible to have a liitle "+" sign or any other kind of add button behind the "step 1" field and by clicking on it the user can add a new field labeled "step 2" and so on.... same with removing if he accidentially adds a field that is not required....I have a flash form that gots a validation and image upload function, I only need to add the "add /remove" field function....

All of these "walk a user" through a customized ordering process and capture all of their selection and showing them all of their customizations (and ultimately bring them to a final ordering screen). What's going on under the hood on these sites and are built in flash or flex? Is the person creating a separate image for every combination that you could possibly select or is something else happening here?
I still can't figure out if Flex or Flash is better for something like this. (why does adobe make these seemingly basic questions so complicated) Are there any good resource or tutorials for try to build this type of functionality in flash on a website?

Mar 4, 2010I'm trying to create a form that based on the users input would determine how many forms to generate dynamically. I have a base state with a combo box that contains 1-4. Bases on the users selection I would like to have the next state generate the number of forms. So if you user selects 2 and click next - 2 copies of the form would be display.
I'm just wondering if this is possible how i would go about doing this or if any one knows of any examples?
