Jul 29, 2010I'm wanting to create a moving object that will be exported into a tv commercial. Object has already been created in Adobe Illustrator, and now will be dropped into flash for adding movement. The destination commercial will be created in Sony Vegas, with the settings of (Australian) PAL television (25 fps, 576x720 pixels, lower field first).Thus keeping it simple, I want to set Adobe flash with the same output format, meaning that the canvas will have to be 576x720 pixels at 25 fps. So far this seems to have worked okay.Now I'm wanting to get rid of the canvas colour, just like I have here in this photoshop screen shot.
Judging by the colour palette in Flash Professional, it looks like it can't be done. I've checked "transparent palette" through yahoo and google, and had no results. The adobe documentation only details how to remove a background in Photoshop.

Professional :: Flash Won't Play On Adobe TV And Some Others?
Nov 6, 2010On some sites flash won't play, Adobe TV being one of them. Youtube and many others are fine.I have tried Firefox, Safari and Chrome (all latest versions) on OS X Snow Leopard. I have installed removed and reinstalled the latest Flash. I have even physically removed the Quicktime plugin (from the library/internet plugins) and the Quicktime application (from applications).

Aug 11, 2011So I have been working on a flash-based Website using ActionScript 2.0. I have been able to export it fine up until about a day ago. The file is only 4,330KB and when exporting as a SWF it will export about halfway and then it stops with no error or exported file. I exported it as an AVI, but since it's interactive it doesn't help. I've tried exporting it for Quicktime and the same thing happens.

Nov 20, 2011I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I looked for a place to send general "feedback" and could not find one.I just wanted to let the management at Adobe know a couple things related to recent Public Relations blunders. Ever since the announcment that you were ending Flash Player for Mobile, I have had many conversations with people about this topic and there is SO much misinformation due to your announcement, it's going to tank Flash as a broader platform.
- Some think Flash doesn't work on Macs
- Some think the Flash player is cancelled on ALL platforms (PC included)
- Some think Flash in its entirety is coming to an end.
This perception seems to come from people of various levels of technical knowledge, from basic users where it's understandable they might be confused about the specifics of the recent news (but still not a good thing!) on up to key decision makers who don't know tech but are key to making certain spending decisions with regard to tech platforms (CEOs). This is a horrible place for Flash to be in right now and you need to quickly change the perception with a "Flash is alive and well" type of announcement.Remember, most people only retain sound bites and a few words from headlines. You may have announced "Adobe ends Flash Player for Mobile" originally, but what people retained was "Adobe ends Flash Player". You need to make a new announcement that the short attention span people will come away from with knowledge that all is well. "Flash not dead" for example.Man, whoever plans your PR needs to be fired. You could have killed off the Mobile player back before the MAX conference and then followed up with the news about Flash Player 11 and Stage 3D. That would have a perfect one-two punch, but instead you reversed it and all the excitement from FP11 @ MAX was blown away.

Jul 25, 2010I make stop motion films and am tired of having the ameteur look of not having effects. I am trying to learn how to add backgrounds using greenscreens, maybe put images/videos(animated and/or realistic) of things like fire, lasers, etc. and I'm just wondering, does Adobe supply some sort of program that could allow me to do this? I just don't even know where to begin. I've taken a course in Flash animation and so I'm familiar with what it can do, I'm just not sure if I'm able to add images I've created in Flash to a stop motion film in another editing program.
