I am testing a carousel menu and have uploaded the test pagesthen it runs as I want it to.If I run it within an HTML page then it is smaller, tucked to the right and is cropped. If I create the HTML within Flash (Publish) then the same problem.
I have created a .fla with a stage that is 650px by 550px, and everything looks good.Problem is when I play it back in a browser of flash player it crops the movie and cuts off some of it.
I have got this annoying problem with Flash. Whenever I tween an object fast across the screen the part which points to the direction of the movement of the object gets cropped. Here is an example. The circle is moving across the screen roughly 3 times every second and as you can see, the front has magically disappeared for some reason. Same thing happens for objects moving slower aswell but the cropped off part is smaller. I could not printscreen this as the screen pauses on the current frame when you do that so that is why I used an external camera.
I have made my flash banner, when I open it it's cropped at the right size, however if I click and drag the window to make it bigger then I can see everything which is off the stage. Is this normal? Or am I missing some kind of last stage in the design process where I have to hide everything or crop the banner? Just want to make sure the banner is prepared properly before giving to the client.
I created a first movie 750 x 235. Objects in this clip are often larger than the final document bascialy sticking out of the scene throughout the movie I then created a second document "main page" that will be hosting the first clip. I created a content frame 750 x 235 to host (position) my SWF file and used the loadmovie function. PROBLEM: Everything is showing, even the off screen elements, size is not limited to what I see when I preview publishing. Size reaching 5000 x 3500!
For those liquid layout experts: Do you know why the site comes out cropped when it's uploaded? This was applied to another site and it worked fine. I'm not sure if it has to do with the levels of where the layers are on the stage, but I can't figure this out The scaling seems to work fine when the browser window is scaled up or down. But I just don't understand why it shows up cropped to begin with.
I've pretty much finished my site... [URL]. The problem with this is that with someone who has a lower resolution, the movie tends to get cropped. Since I have the movie set at 100% width and height the scroll bars don't exist. I'm trying to make built in scroll bars in flash that will activate when the movie gets cropped as such. I only need them for a few pages. I'm not sure if I am going about this the easiest way..I know you can do it if it was just one movieclip but the site is alot more complicated than just one movieclip.
For skills_mc I have a class.. mc_skills.as Actionscript Code: package{ import flash.display.*; import FluidLayout.*; import flash.display.Sprite; import flash.display.StageAlign; [Code] .....
It's throwing a ton of errors.. 1017: The definition of base class Movieclip was not found.
when i Control > Test Movie with an animation, the preview is not cropped to the stage size.i see eveything out in the grey, which i don't want to see. i just can't find the right settings, if they exist.i'm assuming the stage is akin to the page bounding box in illustrator, so test movie should behave like 'print preview'?
I've managed to draw a custom shape onto a canvas and use that shape as a mask over an image. Is there anyway possible to crop the image and save it out in the custom shape?making whatever is outside the shape transparent? The only image cropping i can find is using rectangles, whereas i need a polygon shape.
im currenlty in the process of updating my website since i have now finished university but flash still challenges me,and id love to put a html flickr powered gallery on each of the tabs, Graphics and Photography.i can use the websiter simular to make the gallery but then all i get is the html code and i have no idea how to put this onto flashany brain boxes on here feel like they know how to do this
I have an Air Application that uses a HTML Component. The HTML page that the component is rendering includes images with title tags. The tags render fine outside the Air Application, but when run in the AIR application, they do not render.
I have created an animation (.swf) with a third party software application. I tried to import it as a symbol into Flash but it is constructed in such a way that it won't work. It requires to be housed within an html environment in order to combine the animation with a separate navigation layer that exists in two separate .swf files.I can mount this animation on a web page independently as it's own page but I really want it to appear within another flash animation. Is there some way for me to create a window in a flash movie that contains a view to an external HTML page so I can embedd this animation? Perhaps similar to an iFrame?
I want a very minimalist looking gallery with small square thumbnails you can click on which will reveal a larger image. Is it better to go with a Flash Gallery or an HTML Gallery?
1) The site is currently an HTML site and I'm wondering if this is something that can be easily integrated this into an HTML site without a lot of trouble?
2) I'm currently back in the stoneage using Flash MX 2004 and wondering if Flash CS4/CS5 has a nice minimalist gallery built in or do I need to use something like "SimpleViewer"?
I've read lately that you can't use Flash on iPad and iPhone . On our website I'm using some Flash animations. As I understand it doesn't display on iPad and iPhone.HTML 5 does display. What's the best approach?Should I convert Flash to HTML 5? And how can I do that? Or are there other (even better) ways to make this work?
I have created a twitter API in flash using ActionScript 3.0 which loads the latest feeds from a user by using the screen name of the twitter user. When I test the swf locally it works fine. But the problem comes when I embed the swf in html page. The swf loads but does not show the content where it needs to access the TWITTER url to load the feeds. It doesn't load the feeds. It asks for the global settings to be changed. So, I have changed the settings and played the html page.I works fine.My question is when I will upload the files to a server the same problem will come and it will not load the feeds. How to solve this problem permanently?
I have created a flash aplication and need to make a HTML version for people who dont have flash, I found this method on the internet [URL] but dont wish to use it as i dont want seperate pages and the delay caused by 2 loads and the time taken for the script to activate. I would rather detect the absence of flash anddisplay the HTML if and only if flash is absent If the flash was a JS i would just use the noscript taghow can this be done for flash?
I'm editing a flash web template in Flash pro (cs5.5 master collection) . I have a horz scrolling calendar with event and direction links in each day. The calendar is Html/css/ and jQuery. If I Build a single Html page that loads the CSS and jQuery and contains all the calls and Content text and I call/display this in a flash box in my "movie"
I want to put 100% height and 100% width Flash in an html page. I've done it. Now I want to put in that page also HTML Footer which would stick to the bottom of the page.
I am designing a website in flash CS3 using Action script 2.0 not 3.0 and Flash Player 8. The architecture I used is as follows:I have a menu/main page which loads the swf files of other flash pages.I have a particular flash chatroom page which is loaded by the main page that I would like to be able to link an web address (example url...) directly too that particular sub flash page ...rather than going to the main.swf which is what the original web address uses.
Technically I know I could link a web address to the chatroom.swf file, but then it would estetically look incomplete since the theme/design of the website is in the main.swf which calls the chatroom.swf.Thus my question is: is there a way to assign the web address to the chatroom.swf inside the main.swf.I would like to go directly to the chatroom without clicking chatroom on the main.swf menu.
I have an intro page that allows users to enter either a high bandwidth (flash) version of the site or a low bandwidth (html) version of the site. The flash has a preloader but it is still quite long for some to load. I was wondering if it is possible and what the best way to have the swf file load behind the scenes on the intro page so that when the use clicks the high bandwidth enterance the swf is already loaded or mostly loaded.
1. I am creating a Flash banner to go at the top of my website that is going to animate the name for the site one letter at a time. I have this part of the banner completed as a movie symbol that I have added to my main timeline. What I was wonder is if it is possible to set a timer or some type of pause for how long I want it to wait before looping again? I dont want to stop the looping all together but would like to maybe make it pause for 5 minutes or so before starting animation again. Keep in mind it has to be done within the movie symbol becuase I have other animation going on the main timeline that will just continuously loop.
2. Is it possible to set a flash swf to the background of a html document? The reason I ask is again with my banner I am creating I have a menu bar that is about 3/4 of the ways down the height of banner. I want me primary animation to be able to move behind this menu bar. I realise I can make the menu straight in flash adding my links directly to it, but I would perfer to handle that in straight html or whatever if possible.
I am a PHP Developer, I know nothing about Flash and with all respect I do not want to know anything about. I develop a CMS which provides the backend for a Flash front end. Data is passed to the template via XML. Everything is grand. The problem is with text formatting. Currently we use the dodgiest flash text formatter. It doesn't work half the time, its horrible but it - just about - does the job. I have been tasked with replacing it. I would like to bring in CKEditor or TinyMCE but when I do I have 2 major problems.
1) Pre-existing HTML messes up the display in TinyMCE due to its invalidity (I can solve this.) 2) The TinyMCE HTML breaks the flash template because of the valid HTML.
i am trying to insert my html table format into flash... but flash doesn't support that html table tags.. i'm creating a filp book for help manual..In that we use flash and html tags.. His there any other way to insert html table in to flash..
1. I have a flash movie embedded in an html page. When the user clicks on a button in the movie it should open the new in the SAME or CURRENT window NOT in a new tab (leaving that window open).
Here's the code..getURL("imageTest.html", _self);
2. I can't get my block navigation to show the CURRENT link.I want the current link or page on the navigation bar to be a different color than the other links.
I'm able to get the font to change color but I can't get the background or "block color" to change color.
Ive got some external HTML text being fed into flash, all I want to do is to edit the <li> tag in the HTML (not CSS) so the bullets sit flush to the left with the rest of the text, thats it! is there something i can put in the HTML that will resolve this such as:
I am building a website through flash. For the past couple of weeks all of the links have been working fine up until now. I have no idea what I could have possibly done to make this happen. In HTML none of the links work. They are all linked up fine, I even re-linked some of them. Nothing happens. The buttons do nothing.
