I created a very simple animation of a speaker with vibrating screens in flash. I have saved the animation as an SWF file and it works just fine. I need to duplicate the animation and flip it so that the speaker faces the opposite direction in a Dreamweaver layout.
Is there a simple(ha!) way to do this with either the Flash file or with the SWF file.
i would like to add an animation page inside a page flip.
View 2 RepliesI am developing a fishing game and I have inside my fla file a movieclip of a pirate ship, one of the bonuses of the game. In certain parts of the game I have to flip the ship horizontally because it depends on the player that he belongs. He can be on the left side or right side of the screen. I have read that to flip a movieclip horizontally the command is:

In fact, this command worked for me with a static movieclip that I drew.But with the pirate ship, this line of command makes it disappear. When I remove the line, the ship is in the right place and behaves as it has to behave but is turning to the opposite side.Does it have to do with the fact that the movieclip contains animations?Another solution that I've tried is to flip everything but because there are a lot of keyframes and layers, it is impossible to simply click on modify->flip horizontal. The ship moves with tweens inside the movieclip, so I would have to rebuild all the animations.
i have a bug that follows the users mouse, it currently faces left, but if it is to the left of th emouse, i would like it to flip horizontally so it is facing right

I am writing a class that can display a movie clip, and then display the TextFiled information once it is rendered to the screen However the movieClip to which scaleX property is applied (i need it to be horizontally flipped), does not display the text on it. But the movie clip to which the transformation has not been applied for, displays it fine. I ran a trace stmt and all 8 TextFields are added, I also tried to use a Matrix --> flash.geom class, but the same effect when flipping the movieclip, content does not display

I want to create a simple card flip animation whereby a card slides onto the screen from the right, flips over to reveal a different picture on the other side, flips back and then slides off screen. In fact, the full animation will involve two cards, sliding onto the screen one after the other, then flipping one at a time, flipping back one at a time and then only ONE of them sliding off screen, to the left or right depending on which side of the screen they are on. Can anyone tell me whether this is possible using Flash CS5? I am a total novice at this, and having spent hours and hours on it, I have so far only managed to get a card to slide onto the screen and flip but I don't know how to get it to show a different picture on the other side.

View 3 RepliesI need help with MC's animation causing a weird conflict. I have a movie clip come out and appear to drag another to the side of the stage. I get a weird wobble and dither from the mc that is dragged in horizontal motion. I have included a simple example, the original has complex motion on the "arms: so I used a simple box to demonstrate problem. I am at a loss as to what is causing this. This is a flash cs4 file.
View 2 RepliesI have a certain set of motion twains that I've successfuly completed, they constantly loop right now (default), and is saved in the SWF file.I'd like to take that finished looping animation, and insert it within another animation (a) that can be played with a play button, and stopped/resetted with a stop button.How do I insert the completed looping animation into the main animation? And is there something special I have to do in the actionscript of the start and stop buttons so that the "inner" looping animation will start and stop with the "outer" main animation?

View 5 RepliesI'm currently learning Flash (CS4, AS3) and am creating a game. I have currently 1 flv file with 4 scenes, I then move from left to right and then to scene 2 and go from left to right. This is the game where items pop up that need to be clicked on and you get points.
Is there any way I can combine these onto 1 scene? Flash only allows you to have a maximum of 2880px wide.The reason for this is the transition between the scenes is RUBBISH and that my AS is not working correctly in between scenes (it loses values).
I have been trying to create a animation with horizontal scroll to begin on mouseOver. There are a set of 8-10 swfs movie, which I am calling though a xml file into the main scroll movie clip. I would like to animate and call the swfs in such a way that they drop into the screen and stay on a 800px width movie screen, on mouseOver the horizontal scroll should begin.I have seen a lot of threads for the sroll, in all the threads the movie is scrolling and on MouseOver it stops.
View 1 RepliesI'm not a huge flash expert by any means, but I am working on some banner and I need to take the larger 336x280 banners and resize them to 300x250. I've change the size of the stage and shrinking down the bitmaps etc is fine. The issue I am having is the aminated graphics and buttons I have on the stage. I've tried editing multiple frames, onions skins .etc to do it, but no matter what the animation will still only edit the first place I clicked on the symbol. So it goes from the smaller size and animates to the larger size and its original position on the old size.
It seems there must be a way to adjust animations without having to redo them all. Right?

I have made an animation, when i veiwed it as a preveiw in flash CS4 it works fine.So I published it as both a HTML fie and SWF.The HTML file runs perfectly fine, but the SWF file is missing almost all of the illustrations and the play button at the begining, the sounds all work fine however.
View 1 RepliesI have a strange dilemn and the 3D feature in Flash CS4 seem to be the most obvious connection to the problem. I have a page with 2 different swf files ( both under 50KB), which use the satay method. One works perfectly, and the other struggles to work. The pixels are magnified, the 3D animation scales incorrectly, and moves very slowly. Eventually the browser crashes and the whole operation goes down.

Does anyone know of a light flip class to flip a movieclip that is animated? Away3D is overkill for this project since this simple flip is the only 3D effect needed.
View 0 RepliesI want to have 8 cards on the stage, each card represents an animal and if you click on that card, it will flip over and zoom to fill the screen. When it flips over it will give a fun fact about that animal and in the lower right corner it wil have a 'close' button to bring you back to the stage where the other cards are.
