I am trying to create a simple animation, juste a picture that need to move from left to write while rotating around the vertical axis.I tried just to have the first position normal and the final position scaled at -100% in width but it also distort and move up and down.I already did that in acstionscript but not just graphicaly.

I want to create a simple card flip animation whereby a card slides onto the screen from the right, flips over to reveal a different picture on the other side, flips back and then slides off screen. In fact, the full animation will involve two cards, sliding onto the screen one after the other, then flipping one at a time, flipping back one at a time and then only ONE of them sliding off screen, to the left or right depending on which side of the screen they are on. Can anyone tell me whether this is possible using Flash CS5? I am a total novice at this, and having spent hours and hours on it, I have so far only managed to get a card to slide onto the screen and flip but I don't know how to get it to show a different picture on the other side.

Im trying to make password checker but in some reason my code doesn't work. I have one input text field "inTxt", one output text field "outTxt" and submit button "btn". My code checks if the text in the input field is same that is in the "pass" variable and if it is, it should print "Correct." in the outTxt output text field and if it's not it should print "Incorrect." But for some reason it prints "Incorrect." all the time.

I have a simple text fade movie clip that will "play" but won't work when I "Test Movie." What am I missing? I don't regularly use Flash as of yet, and have been successful before, but this is ridiculous - and I know I'm probably missing something very simple.

The .SWF File is working pretty well on my PC but on other PCs, when I move my mouse over the buttons menu, it disappears.
I'm new and am having a bit of trouble loading one swf into another for a preloader and main program. If u open up flashSite.fla or the swf, everything works, but when I load it into a mc container of preloaderMomSite, the animated buttons no longer work. If someone could take a look, I would love to find out what I'm doing wrong. All files are located on in the same directory.

I created a very simple animation of a speaker with vibrating screens in flash. I have saved the animation as an SWF file and it works just fine. I need to duplicate the animation and flip it so that the speaker faces the opposite direction in a Dreamweaver layout.
Is there a simple(ha!) way to do this with either the Flash file or with the SWF file.
I am making something flash flip like: [URL] but i want to do it in my banner 1000 width and 299 height problem is that i have few banner images i think 5 to 8 and i want to start my flip from "bottom-left" corner till "top-right"

I decided to try to use setInterval for myanimation, which is just a mouse trail.However, I'm trying to get teh mouse trail to be a dynamic mask.In my previous swf this was achieved by using a holder mc with the animation inside and then using this as the mask. But this time I just canpt seem to hit on the right way to get it to work. The code I am using for the mouse trail is:

I've benn trying to get a simple socket server test to work for days now and it seems I'm not getting very far.Basically I just want to send some data from flash to the php script and have it echo it out, or anything at all like that I've been working from this tutorial http[url]....I have this basic flash class which just sends a string to the server:

The server side php is the attached script (pretty much this http:[url]....So I keep the php running on my server then run the as class, what happens is after a while (presumably the 15 second script limit in as) I get this error:
Error #2044: Unhandled securityError:. text=Error #2048: Security sandbox violation: .../networking.swf cannot load data from website.com:9980.at base()
My text animation works perfectly, but doesn't repeat. How do I get this to repeat? I don't know Flash that well, but I just want this to play over and over.

I'm having a problem, where random IE's are not able to display my .swf file. All the IE's are IE8 with the latest flash pluggins and all security's are set at Medium, however some IE's get just a grey box and other's get the full flash file. What's going on? It works fine in Safari and Firefox of course, but why so much difficulty with AS3 Flash9 in IE? here is a link to the site, and it's the big image changer at the bottom of the front page.

I'm trying to export an animated text image, but for some reason, when I publish in .gif format, the text is all screwed up. I have example of it, in the attached file. It worked for me in flash mx, but in flash cs4 it doesn't work. I want the text to be readable and animated, in this .gif.

I searched on Google and discovered that I theorically had to add a crossdomain.xml, to make sure that there isn't security protection that avoid swf to load images from other domain. so put these two files on my different domains, to tell the swf to accept files from all * domains
View 2 RepliesI am a student trying to learn how to take multimedia elements from one class and put them on a webpage using Dreamweaver CS4. From an online tutorial, I created start/stop buttons with ActionScript3 URLRequest to reference a sound file. The swf works fine when played; it plays from the html generated by flash but when I use Dreamweaver CS4 > insert > media > swf and then preview page in browser (firefox), the button doesn't do anything. When I compare the html page generated by flash to the html created by Dreamweaver, they look completely different. I don't have a clue what to do next.

I have Flash CS5 and I'm trying to export SWC from it to use as a library with Flex SDK (FlashDevelop). I have "Export SWC" checked in publish settings and for a while it worked. Now, even if it still is checked, SWC isn't created (at least in the same directory as SWF). I even tried creating a completely new FLA and copied everything from the old library in there. Still it doesn't work.
View 6 RepliesThis sounds quite ridiculous but my space bar doesn't want to work in Flash CS3. I'm a web designer and started recently for a new company. They asked me to include a flash image on one of our websites. When I try to add text to the stage, I can't make spaces. That is all. I've used flash before and I've never ran into this problem
