The intro should have a "skip" button to skip to the home / index page. At the end of the intro animation it should directly lead to the Home / index page (automatically)Please Help me... i am waiting for valuable feedback

2- home page
I want to add skip intro button to open home page otherwise I want the intro jump to home page when finish.so i add button on intro (skip intro) and write the following:

If I have an FLV that I've output as SWF with skin to have embedded into an HTML page, and now a 'skip intro' is needed - though I'd have to make note of the actual time or keyframe in which the intro completes...How is this possible? Clearly, a button would need to be added for that kind of interactivity?

I need a fullscreen video as an intro for that page. there should be a skip button and when the video has finished playing you should get to the page... the page uses a percentage preloader and i want the same preloader for the video, so that it looks like it belongs to the page.
why does my exported .mov file freeze/skip? I exported a .mov if HD 1280x720 and it freezes/skips. If I convert it to another format it's okay. Is it my video card or am I am not exporting it right? I used the h.264 and compressor quality best.

View 3 RepliesI'm a beginner level student. My project is to create a Splash Intro and a 4 page Website (Home page and 4 internal pages). I have to use Flash (no HTML, Java, CSS, etc). We are using Flash CS3 with Action Script 3. The Splash Intro should play continuously. This part I have working like a charm. However, the project requires a Skip Intro button. I have made the Skip intro button and gave the "instance" a name. The next part is where I'm stuck. I want to be able to click on the Skip Intro button and go to the first page of my "Website." I have all of my pages on one timeline. No movie clips. This is very basic.
My Home page has some animation on it. My name comes in from the left and three buttons come in from the right. When the user clicks on the Skip Intro button, I want it to go to the Home page, play the brief animation and STOP. I don't want the Skip Intro button to just go to frame 40 (for example) and just stop. And, if it goes to frame (50) for example and stops the user will miss the animation (right?). I have an external SWF file and when I click on a "skip intro" button, right now I have a StopAllSounds(); on an onclick, so it stops the sound of the external swf, is there a way to fade out the sound instead on an onclick of an embeded sound on an external swf?

(this is a "find the differences between the 2 pictures game" and I want circles to appear over the differences that the user finds but only after he clicks it)
The button (or graphic) I want to become active has instance name of "sockcircle_btn" The button you click to make it appear is called "sock_btn"
In the first frame of the sockcircle_btn layer, this is my code

The file is setup to loop between frames 2-3. But the sockcircle_btn never enables even when sock_btn is clicked.
I simply don't know the syntax.I am attempting to make something similar to a Jeopardy board for a Christmas party at work. I have a grid of buttons that correspond to different questions. The function would be as follows: The button "eng_1" (as in "English for 100 points)is clicked.This makes the button "eng_1_q" (as in :English 100 question) visible, so the question can now be read.The button "eng_1_q" is clicked, and that button is then made invisible. The question can not be seen, now we have returned to the board.The original "eng_1" is now a different colour (or left in it's "down" state) to show that the question has already been asked (not sure if this should be part of the function of "eng_1" or "eng_1_q").My idea would be something like this.

I'm sure this is something easy that I'm missing, but I can't figure it out. How do I make a button invisible? I need it to be invisible through frame 43 of my movie. I have tried changing the alpha to 0, but it's not letting me change that, except in the edit button mode which changes it for the entire duration and not just through frame 43.

Question: What if the script can't find yourapplication.air inside my domain.com host? What will happen? I have tested it out. It appears that the script keep on running to find yourapplication.air inside my server. But it is not there. How do I make a timeout when if there is no such "yourapplication.air" file in the server / it will skip the update process?

I am making a few language flash cards in adobe flash cs5 with as3. the flashcard is a movie clip and when you push a button (located on the bottom left hand corner of the flashcard) the movie clip flips the card to give the translation. it looks a little unprofessional to have the button stay in place while the card flips. is there a way to make the button disappear for the duration of the movie clip, and then reappear at the end?

Any actionscript for a close button and self closing window would help.
For example if you had a cat and running a mouse over its tail would make it angry, but running the mouse over it's head would make it happy. I thought it might be done by having layers on a button with 2 hit areas, I mocked it up quickly, but it just played both animations when I hovered over each button.
