I have a large Flash site. Inside one of the frames I've placed an MP3 track as a theme tune. I now cant find where it is. Is there a way to track down the theme tune so it can be removed from the site?

I'm trying to get it to load a song based on an array I have created. Everything works fine with only one track but I'm unsure how to add more tracks. This is what I've done so far:

I have a XML music player that so far - Gets mp3s from an xml file. Has controls for play, pause, previous track, next track. The next thing I need it to do is display a dynamic text field with the current mp3 track length counting down to zero as the song plays. This countdown needs to stop and start as and when the pause/play is pressed.

But, I have an animation of that same project in (.swf) on my USB Key because I've exported it just before my computer crash just to watch what It was looking like. So my question is, is it possible to open my (.swf) in Flash Pro and get all my snippet code back and all my frame back and everything else (like if it was my (.fla) project?)

When the website is opened as[URL] the functionality of the swf does not work i.e. the links contained within the buttons aren't executed on click. However, if you enter the address as h[URL] the links work exactly as they should. I'm trying to watch a flash video in fullscreen mode on a second monitor but whenever I click anything that causes the flash video to lose focus the video minimizes and goes to it's normal size. Is there a fix for this? or at least a way to zoom in on the video so its nearly fullscreen? neither IE8 or firefox 3's zoom functions will zoom in on flash.
View 2 RepliesHow does one edit a graphic then have the ability to choose in properties Colour Effect options like alpha or brightness or tint in properties ?
Bringing an .ai file into library then creating a MovieClip of it, I am able to alter colour alpha or brightness or tint etc in properties via Colour Effect option. Use break apart to delete a simple box from part of the artwork and the colour aspects just applied vanish, its back to its original aspect. Try grouping the artwork but still no options now. Same applies if I just place the graphic on stage or open the graphic from the Library.
Try it a different way, bring it in and break apart, then edit the artwork then group it to see if properties has colour effect option for it but still no joy. Try converting it to graphic after editing and giving it a new name, it vanishes, nothing visible even if I select that graphic in library.
It seems that the only way to apply Colour Effect in properties for a graphic or MovieClip is to NOT edit its contents when placed on stage. I cannot bring it in without needing to edit it as the program making the ai. adds a box that I dont need, border of the page in that program in fact.

View 4 RepliesWe are creating a 30-track mixing desk to demonstrate our percussion instruments. Take a look at www.bellpercmixer.com. As you can probably hear, the audio is not properly syncing up.
The files should be exactly the same length (8 seconds) but they are mp3s so I don't know if the compression messes the length up as I know it adds the gap between the loop? More than likely, it is my lack of action script skill that has caused this problem... e.g. does each track need to be on a separate layer with a sync-track type thing? The flash file to have stop and play buttons. Correct me if I'm wrong but to do this I would have to render the flash file as an mov, convert that to an flv and import the flv into a new flash file and use THAT swf which will contain the playback component of my choice.
If so Now, the problem is how can I get the links at the end of the file to work as when I convert to mov the actionscript is no longer working.
I am interested in creating training that track and calculate data and then give detailed results based on responses. Is there a way to create, track and give that feedback in Flash? Something like personality test tracking.

I see that you can modify the art of the component, but it seems to have the 9 slice thing going on so it scales nicely... but doesn't work right with a graphic. lately i've associated a class file (.as) to my movie and immediately after, when publishing the movie i got the following error message: 1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant: URLRequest. as well as a couple of other related error messages: 1180: Call to a possibly undefined method URLRequest. 1180: Call to a possibly undefined method navigateToURL. when i remove the link to the class file, the problem goes away. also, i have checked the class file for mentioning of "URLRequest" and nothing is there.
making a simple game with video stills matching a running audio track.my audio is an MP3 i built in GarageBand. all works well in flash, but when rendered to QT, the audio and video go out of sync, and some video drops out too.have put all audios on their own layer and streamed them all too, set settings in Publish to 64, but still have same problem

The way the site is setup now....when a visitor clicks "music off", it turns off the sound for the background music and FLV movie.
just created a slideshow that loops because I want it to continuously play. I added another timeline layer and inserted my music file which is 4:03 minutes long which I set to loop as well. However after it has been playing for about 15-20 seconds it sounds like it is layering another music file on top of the existing one and so on and so forth, so a couple of minutes

View 4 RepliesNever thought waiting seven years to update my software would be such a relearning experience...lol In Flash MX to add audio into a movie clip, animation, etc, all you needed to was add the file to your library and drag it onto the frame in which you wanted the audio to play. However when I try this in CS5.5 nothing happens. I'm sure there's just a different implementation now, and I don't know what it is.

View 2 RepliesI'm working on an animation where I have my "dog" fighting the evil vacuum cleaner. I got most of it to work the way I want it to.
1) I have movie clips entitled pepper_mc (where my dog is supposed to be walking), swirl (where a swirly-type symbol is supposed to spin over the dead vacuum's head), and vacuum_mc (where the evil vacuum is supposed to have a swinging arm (called vacuumarm_mc) that I created using the bone tool). When I add them to the stage and test them, the animations within the movie clips don't happen.
2) I have background music that I'd like to stop playing at the end of the animation, but I'm not sure how to do that. (using the stop(); actionscript doesn't help).Where am I going wrong? I'm using Flash Pro CS5.

When the movies performs the getURL action, I want the music to continue playing, but the getURL function seems to stop the music at frame 152 (where the getURL action is placed), when I wanted the music to continue to frame 257 (the end of the movie). I hope I've explained this clearly
View 3 RepliesI am trying to create a music animator. It will have bars that move up and down do the beat of the music. This is like windows media player where the music animations play. I want it to be verticle bars, where some are in sync with like the base and others are in sync with the tempo. Does anyone know of a tutorial for this? I am trying to emplement it within my website so that whatever music I am playing will auto control the bars and sync.
